Reactions - whisper gm is visible to player.

So I'm trying to set up a trap reaction in my game (PF1E, using the official Roll20 character sheet)  where it tells the player to roll a Will save, and then it whispers me the DC, and the details of what happens when they fail the trap.  Unfortunately, the reaction lets the player see the whisper to the GM.  I've managed to kludge it so they don't see it by using /ssr and the inline roll trick of hiding text ( [[1 <text]] showing up as a 1 in GM chat, and I can mouse over it to read the details), but this seems like it's not the way this should work.    Does anyone have any idea if I'm doing something wrong? This is the one I'm trying to use /w @{instigator_name} **A voice echoes in your mind:** [[1t[LamashtuWhispers]]]%NEWLINE%Make a Will save! /w gm @{instigator_name} needs to make a will save, DC 22. If they fail, they believe the party is going to capture them and sacrifice them to Lamashtu. This is my kludge /w @{instigator_name} **A voice echoes in your mind:** [[1t[LamashtuWhispers]]]%NEWLINE%%NEWLINE%Make a Will save! /ssr [[1 @{instigator_name} needs to make a will save, DC 22.  If they fail, they believe the party is going to capture them and sacrifice them to Lamashtu.]]

Hi Jason H.,  Based on your example it looks like it is working correctly. This is exactly what /ssr was created for.
Except I don't want it to be a kludgy roll.  I'd rather have /w gm not trigger for the player, just send to me silently.    My whisper doesn't include a roll, it's just strictly text, but /ssr doesn't support text only.   However, I just realized that  /ss  is also a thing, and that DOES do what I want.  Thanks!
Alternative suggestions (I run PF1 and use the Roll20 sheet)... You can put the text in the tooltip for the trap's token and NOT check the show box, so the text is only visible to a GM. Then the reaction only needs to include the message about making the roll.  What I often do is to make an "Ability" on a character sheet for the trap and use that as a token action. This is good for cases in which the trap may affect a variable number of targets; click the button for each target and send customized messages to them. Similar macros can be used to whisper to the gm details of poisons, as well.
That is a good suggestion, Mark.  I've done that as well in the past.  I was just looking to take advantage of the Reactions feature in this case.
