Hi everyone. I’ve got a quick update for you today that will hopefully be good news for anyone who’s been running into performance issues or bugs in the Roll20 Jukebox. Over the last month, the team released several bug fixes that improve the reliability and performance of the Jukebox: We’ve restored full Jukebox audio on iPhone and iPad, so iOS players can enjoy your soundtracks again. Music no longer cuts out after the seventh track. Stopped tracks now unload from memory, which was what caused playback to stop. GMs whose games failed to load because of bad playlist data should be able to get back in. Older sidebar code was creating duplicate playlist IDs, and that’s been fixed. Your playlists now stay intact when you copy a game or apply an add-on, and the “don’t copy jukebox” setting finally works the way it was always meant to. Your browser is less likely to block Jukebox audio from autoplaying. We updated how the Jukebox handles browser interaction requirements and added retry logic. Transitions between tracks fade smoothly now, without stuttering. The Jukebox popup panel now opens in the right spot, and tags are readable in dark mode. We removed outdated Flash checks that were producing unnecessary audio errors. We’ve added tracking to 18 distinct failure types and added 68 automated tests, so we can catch and fix problems faster. Additional improvements to the Jukebox remain on our roadmap . In the meantime, these fixes address the most common issues we’ve seen reported.
