Sidebar and Chat Window Widths and Margin

Disregard What caused my issues of chat windows getting "scrunched up" was having Enable chat Avatars checked on. With it turned off, the sidebar will not resize to less than the minimum width you specify in a chat window. is is AD&D 1e and my chat displays show various aspects of the character sheet that my friends use. My standard issue sendChat display is 760px wide, minimum. It seems to leave a fairly large margin in the right sidebar. [EDIT  I turned off Enable chat Avatars] Here are two screenshots. The first is the width the right sidebar at its "default" width and the second is the sidebar scrunched up. I'd like to be able to prevent players from scrunching things up, if possible. Is there any way a mod can affect the actual width of a sidebar? I suspect not. What about the margin between the left edge of the chat window and the sidebar?  EDIT  I turned off Enable chat Avatars There is a fair bit of green space to the left of the chat shown here. Can I make that margin smaller? My script for the chat window width is a component of a <div style is  max-width:760px; Is there a minimum width that can be specified for the chat window that prevents the sidebar from being resized to prevent it from squashing the chat window? If not, is there anything else I can do? Of course, I can always just advise players that if they make the sidebar too narrow it will scrunch up the buttons. :-) Thanks for any advice.

Hi Tim! I don't think you have an enforceable solution here. The width is the container and can't be programmatically re-sized. What you could try is making your layout more responsive: Define buttons as percentages, for instance, rather than fixed widths. Or reduce horizontal padding. You can also try not duplicating words, also. For example,  instead of: [Party Stats] [$Party Coins] try: Party [Stats] [Coins]

I was editing while you were replying, sorry. It turns out that with Enable Chat Avatars turned off, the sidebar does not shrink past the min width specified.
