https://finalfantasyd20.com As mentioned in the title, here's a link to the site for the FFd20 system itself. Beyond this the exact time is still in the air, as I've got a few players that do WANT to be in it but since I'm looking to add a few extra's to the game, I'm waiting to finalize that time until I can get one that will work for everyone. A decent mic is required as I host over discord, however a camera is NOT required as none of us actually use one either. The hyper specifics of any variation on rules and whatnot will be done on a 1-on-1 basis rather than here. The rest of this will be detailing what every player will know of the world at the start. The world is known as Elentide, and it is currently the Thirty-Eighth Year of the Eleventh Dynasty of the Second Sun. You can generally trust the description for deities on the final fantasy d20 website, except where noted here. The Deities of Elentide are as follows: Greater Deities - These are deities who have existed since the beginning of the cosmos Bahamut - Lawful Good - God of Creation, Dragons, and Kings Minerva - True Neutral - Goddess of Life, Rebirth, and Mana Chaos - Chaotic Evil - God of Destruction, Monsters, and War Old Gods - These are deities who have existed for a very long time, often thought to be created by the Greater Deities themselves for various purposes. Titan - Lawful Neutral - God of Earth, Caves, and Endurance Phoenix - Neutral Good - God of Healing, The Sun, and Animals Ramuh - Chaotic Good - God of Knowledge, Magic, and Secrets Ifrit - True Neutral - God of Fire, Strength, and Volcanoes Leviathan - True Neutral - God of The Sea, Storms, and Glory Shiva - True Neutral - Goddess of Ice, Protection, and Love New Gods These do not currently exist within this setting. Elentide consists of Seven primary nations, The Yskarn peoples to the North, the Kharzum to the East, the Kingdom of Solhaven to the South, the Lethemir to the West, and located between those four are the last three nations, each of these are only about half as large as the others however these three have endured together and were the three that maintained an alliance whilst all the others brought about "The Day Without A Sun". These three are the Aruna, Ngavera, and Corvenna. Known as the longest living peoples of those that participated within "The Day Without A Sun" The Yskarn people have existed for nearly four-thousand years, though now-a-days have tried to keep to themselves after "The Day Without A Sun" in the frozen wastes up north, sustaining themselves primarily by hunting the wild creatures that roam the wastes. They have been known to sometimes venture from the North, however while it's rare for them to stay longer than a few weeks at one of the settlements closer to their borders, there are reports that sometimes they find something they fancy and it keeps them from returning. Whilst the species of each nation are varied and not all are treated equally, the Kharzum are by far the most brutal. Enslaving most if not all of the Beastman tribes that reside within their borders and any else who either associates positively with them, or are themselves monstrous in appearance. They rule with an iron fist, and whenever they've taken Dynastic Rulership it's often regarded by those outside of their territory as the worst outcome. The Kingdom of Solhaven are the most well-respected of the territories, treating most of their citizens fairly and offering protection (for a small fee) to those who are not their citizens. Out of the territories that took part within "The Day Without A Sun", the Phemuiran's are regarded as the 'least bloodthirsty' and as such are often times considered neutral territory for merchants and other traveling parties. Despite now being one of the most passive of the territories, and having never been considered 'brutal' by most standards, The Lethemir were at the forefront of "The Day Without A Sun" and were responsible for by far the most bloodshed during the war itself. Estimates put them as having contributed to no less than One-Third of everyone that died on that day. Now-a-days however they are reluctant to take up arms unless it is in self defense. Now the Aruna, Ngavera, and Corvenna are the longest surviving territories within known history, each one predating even the Y'tol people. Despite their meager sizes when compared to the other territories, theirs is the only ground that was not stained with blood during "The Day Without A Sun". The exact reason for this is heavily debated amongst everyone outside of their territories, some saying they did some kind of dark magic to ward away the others, some claiming they made backhanded deals with the other territories. However according to them, they were spared due to their belief in Minerva, the Goddess of Life, Rebirth, and Mana, protecting their lands as they refused to participate in such senseless bloodshed. The Second Sun refers to the last massive war between nations, it took place roughly 1200 years ago and the fighting spanned across so much of the planet and was so intense and bloody that it became known as "The Day Without A Sun" as most of those that weren't fighting believed it to be the end of the world. When the fighting ended and a peace was established on the next day it became known as "The Day With A Second Sun" as the people had renewed hope that perhaps the end of the world was not, in fact, nigh, and hailing in the era of the Second Sun. The Eleventh Dynasty refers to how many times the current ruler has changed families since the Second Sun, in accordance with the peace treaty established each Dynasty is only allowed to rule for 100 years at a time, at 90 years they are required to present a challenge for the other Kingdoms, and whichever Kingdom completes that challenge first becomes the next Dynasty to rule for the next 100 years. The challenge itself varies greatly depending on which Dynasty is ruling at which time, and whom within that Dynasty is the one at the top. Currently the Kingdom of Solhaven has Dynastic Rule, and has had it for the last Thirty-Eight years. During this time, they've made no small effort to revoke many of the laws passed by the previous Dynasty, the Yskarn, who instituted laws such as making it a crime punishable by death to be caught anywhere within a Six-Hundred mile that extended beyond their actual borders. While they claimed at the time it was to 'ensure their security', in reality this encompassed several large towns from other territories and allowed them to sack these settlements with near impunity.
