# [LFP] The Mist | Free Survival Horror One-Shot | FATE | Beginners Welcome It was supposed to be an ordinary day. But then a strange, thick mist appeared, slowly swallowing streets, buildings, and entire towns. Communications stopped working, people began to panic, and something terrifying started moving in the fog. Nobody knows where it came from or what's hiding inside it. All anyone knows is that going outside might be the last thing they ever do. Inspired by the 2007 movie *The Mist*, this is a survival horror adventure about ordinary people caught in an extraordinary nightmare. You'll have to find shelter, gather supplies, deal with other survivors, and make difficult decisions. But be careful, because the creatures lurking in the mist might not be your biggest problem. Fear and desperation can turn ordinary people into something just as dangerous. There won't be a fixed storyline or a guaranteed happy ending. You're free to make your own decisions, try whatever comes to mind, and find your own way to survive. Maybe you'll work together with other survivors, maybe you'll try to escape the town, or perhaps you'll decide to investigate what's actually happening. It's entirely up to you, and the world will react to your choices. We'll be playing FATE, a simple and flexible tabletop RPG that focuses on storytelling, creativity, and player freedom. If you've never played FATE, or even a tabletop RPG in general, don't worry! I'll happily explain the rules, help you create a character, and guide you through everything during the game. You don't need to read any books or prepare anything beforehand. The game is completely free and usually lasts around three hours. We play on Mondays and Fridays at **18:00 (UTC+2)**. We'll use Foundry VTT, Owlbear Rodeo, or simply Discord, depending on what works best for everyone. You can even join from your phone, so having a gaming PC isn't necessary. Everyone aged 18 and older is welcome, whether you're an experienced player or someone trying tabletop RPGs for the first time. I'm always happy to meet new people and share a good story together. If you're interested, just send me a message on Discord (**mastercatgm**) or Telegram (**@MasterCatGm**). The mist is already here. Now let's see how long you can survive.
