Emergency recruiting! Need 1-3 People!

My group that is running here in a few hours (1:00pm CST Today) needs a few more people to join. You must be committed and have read the thread  Here . Our current party is a Human Fighter (Defender Build), A Nerfed (As in reduced, not broken) Gnoll Cleric and a Drow. The Drow is unsure of what race/class he wants to play, but assume he is a caster type. We need 1 support (Ranger/Rogue or the like) and 1 striker (Monk, Fighter [Striker Build] or Barbarian). Post a message here and I will get you the campaign link. I should also note that you need to be able to make each sunday at 1:00pm CST each week in order to play. I'm tired of people dropping out on me.

Sorry, Tate, but we're taking only vanilla classes that can be found in the PHB1 (With the possibility of a Duskblade) Also, Races should be from the SRD as well so no one is getting an advantage. Monster races with a level adjustment can be nerfed down by me to be playable, but otherwise you cannot play a race with a level adjustment.

Mongrelfolk don't have an LA ( <a href="http://www.iourn.com/dnd/races/common/mongrels.htm" rel="nofollow">http://www.iourn.com/dnd/races/common/mongrels.htm</a>) But anyways, how about a Rouge Human Lycanthrope (Snake) If could have a LA of 0 if we take away the animal form, DR, bonus feats, human bonuses, and AC bonus (<a href="http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Lycanthrope" rel="nofollow">http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Lycanthrope</a>)

Both the Mongrelman race and the Lycanthrope template are too powerful for first level. If you truly wish to get the Lycanthrope template, I can work that into a storyline, but you will not be able to start off as one seeing as how you would be hunted down and killed from the start. Gaining the template is the only way for you to be capable of keeping your character alive if you build bonds with the other PCs prior to getting cursed.

Hey Ragnarok, I'd like to join if possible. LoL I acidently sent my PM to Tate and not you. I'm willing to be a Barbarian if totally needed, but would love to be a wizard. I don't mind knocking out both sheets in case there is a spot open for a caster. Let me know if I may join in.

Mongrelman is a Race, and its not that powerful. -2 int -4 cha, gets a -5 to all deplomacy and bluff checks. Your handcuffing me a bit to much with the whole "Only PHB1 classes" thing and your making it a bit hard to have fun with races, think you can count me out.

Forum Destroyer and Paul L, be expecting a PM right after this. And Tate, it's more powerful than you think. The bonuses outweigh the negatives. Mongrelmen are far too leaning towards big, bulky tanks. I don't like that. If you want a tank, then make an orc. If you have a need for a different race that has negatives that aren't entirely dump stats, then let me know. Mongrelmen and Lycans as they are are not acceptable. There are many other races that I will allow besides the PHB1, but the classes are static. I'll accept other classes provided that the race/class combination does not make your character OP. If you have an idea for a class and race not in the PHB or SRD, then PM me and we can go over which classes and races you want to use.

So I would assume a ranger that has a class option and a feat from a supplement as well as a theme and a background that alows for insight as a class skill would be considered op?

not entirely. It is up to the DM to determine what is OP and whether or not it should be used. I do not think that a ranger with insight would be too overpowered with our current party.
