Query: Why no 'Name is typing' displayed when emoting?

When someone is typing in the chatbox, we generally see it. Until they start emoting. At that point the typing indicator goes away. Why is this? Can it be fixed? It's very frustrating to not have the indicator when someone actually is typing :>
It's generally not shown if you're typing anything starting with a slash, be it /me or /gmroll or /w gm ... Those last two are also why it's not shown.

Also consider the difference between /o and /me, /as, or /emas. The first has the message come out as yourself, the second has the message come out as your currently selected character (or yourself if you have your name selected), and the latter two (GM-only commands) have the message come out as a character that doesn't exist.
