Last call: Rogue Trader - Tuesdays 7pm EST (UST -5:00)

Here as well. 7:00pm was go-time.
okie dokie. I'm here also.
Who are we missing then?
Devon and Austin and Shanix, it seems. Devon mentioned he'd likely be late.
Well its still not seven yet.
Opening room at: https://app.roll20.net/join/20443/sbOOFA Bear with me as I'm new to this...
I'm here now.
Hi all, I was thinking we could use an idea map, to make it easier to keep track of who is with who, where, and what confrontation they are currently facing. Something like the attached. As long as Daniel is okay with it...I can create this as we play.
look at you and your idea map
Charlie: Thanks, will likely use some form of that (or heck, just use real maps and tokens like I'm supposed to). Would everyone prefer I keep posting to the boards, or create a page using google sites? Regardless, more goodies: Characters will start with 1000xp. All lineages/origins/etc are taken at appropriate cost. This will simplify creation, and make sure nobody gets a better deal than anyone else. ADVANCED PLAYERS: Not necessary for everyone, but sample of alternate ranks and elite advance packages attached for those interested.
Hedmric will certainly be heading towards the Augmenticist route, as I thoroughly enjoyed the character I played yesterday, and I was initially intending on making him follow the Iron Hand Space Marines example. Flesh is weak after all. I will post an updated character shortly.
Here is the new and improved Hedmric Mulrine, Chef Bosun of the..whats our ships name? I hope to also get myself a best quality meltagun, so that I might melt faces!
If I were going for any of the packages, Manhunter is the one that I like the look of best. I don't have any current plans, but plan to ride the tides of the game, and if stuff happens that leads me down a cool road, I'll go down it =)
Wanted to confirm interest for Tuesday's game, and reiterate that staying characters now get 1000xp instead of 500 (to spend however you want).
I will be here
I'm there!
I will be There
I will be there
As will I!
I may or may not be there on time. Sleep, sleep is hell.
Ship's design, history, and inventory attached. Description of Khan Dynasty's Warrant of Trade included (i.e. where you derive your power and influence from).
Looks cool.
Nice
Looks good so far, Though it should be noted that the edeavour class only has a space of 58( automatically reduced for torpedo component). The ship stores load out Looks well thought out, I do notice that the officer provisions look a bit sparse. Now the question with the voidsmen quarters for the officers, what is the load out for the quarters for the players. would like some detail on that.
Intercepted transmission relayed to Byron Thurn, Astropath Transcendent of the Harbinger of His Glory from Khan Dynasty agent in Calixis Sector. (Tomorrow's campaign will begin with the ship docked at Port Wander, moments after this transmission is received. Khan's have secured a suitable High Factotum for the ship, who will be awaiting pick-up at Footfall.)
This will be interesting indeed. Think I figured out how to set my head set, will want role play this out other than simply roll every time.
I'm here
I'll be using the old fashioned text, in addition to rolling
we should have a good turn tonight.
Hello, im here. I have a headset if were doing this over speaking.
Here as well, would be glad to meet inside a bit early with other early arrivals. https://app.roll20.net/join/20443/sbOOFA
cool, too avoid feed back you need to go to control panel and under sound you need to set the headset usb to defualt.
Ugh, sorry guys, I'm going to be an hour late! work/school went later then I thought and I have to get some things around the house done.
So, you guys need another potentials? XD
I dont think we do at this second, but you never know with online games
Oh my god. I cannot believe...Guys, I'm so sorry. I got caught up in birthday shit (Yeah, parents decided that their kids, even though they're 4 years apart, need to have birthdays one week between one another) and completely forgot about this. I'm so sorry!
Shanix: Our astropath also had indigestion, so I'll assume the Explorator was keeping him company. Bad Space-Thai food. Since no "no-show" policy has been created, no worries. Policy may follow if absences become disruptive to game. All: Next game will be next week at 7pm ->EST<-. Continuing where we left off, and late players will be considered indisposed for that in-game day. Will see if making a passworded mumble room is possible. Players should install mumble prior to that night if they don't have it. Campaign website in the works. If anyone would enjoy creating a recap of last night, volunteer, otherwise I'll try to get one by next week.
I'm still sorry for that, I can come up with an RP excuse as to why I was gone.
My Mumble server which is not, in point of fact, owned by me, cannot be passworded, at least not by me =P
Yes, after looking into it, it seems there are no free passworded options between Ventrillo, Teamspeak. There was one (name escapes me) but could not accomodate 6+ players.
I have purchased a teamspeak server in the past for a D&D group, for a 10 person server it ran $2.99 a month in those days. If everyone thinks its worth doing, its something I'd consider, but obviously I don't want to spend any serious money and have the game end a week later. ($3 doesnt count as serious money, but some servers want 12 months at a time.)
I think for now, my fragile ego can handle the occasional random in the channel. Plus, maybe roll20 will get tokbox sorted out soon, so no need for dropping any money on private servers. Thanks for the offer though.
Just wanted to run an Idea past the group. To give something to work toward I was working on the Militant Trader Idea. The original plan when building the ship was to include a number of components that would improve military based endeavors. This would include adding a barracks, the storm drop pod launcher, Manufactorum, potentially a temple shrine and finishing with extended supply vaults to increase range. Now are potential space is limited to 7, we would need to upgrade a number of essential components and future additions to good quality to reduce space requirements. The last part of the plan was the addition of a Battalion of drop troops to go with the pods. Attached to this unit will be 2 small companies of Light artillery. the artillery would consist of missile launchers and mortars. only so much room on the ship. This would give the ship a decent array of achievement bonuses. Given that the ship is not meant to haul cargo in the traditional sense.
Seems like a seriously huge chunk of cash to be able to wage our own private wars...is that what we really want?
Not as overwhelming as you would think. The good reputation Imperial navy trait will allow us to purchase items directly from them. The mechanic dictates that the component in question takes one less day to install and Is one step more common. for example a component with a rating of rare would drop to scarce. The troops are also with in reasonable cost. Remember that this will not take place all at once, but over time as we gain profit factor. Now the question is, do you want to be able to fight a small private war? we can go in another direction, however I'm not really sure how to change the role of the ship. Light cruisers are generally long range patrol craft. The military components would give at least some purpose. This is just something I thought of that might be an interesting Idea.
Thats basically my question. Is having an army something we want? I am not sure.
Not saying we need a large army, was thinking on more of a small mobile strike fleet. Remember that a Battalion In the Battlefleet koronus Book is measured between 100-500 men of the same company type. The artillery companies are smaller so they can be transported more easily counting that they can't fit into the drop pods. The drop pods can hold 10 men with the component holding 20, 10 pods can be launched every strategic turn. If you want to go another direction like exploration, we will need components that would increase the range and amount of time we can spend away from port. would have to acquire a transport if trade is the plan. Just trying to help set the group a long term dynasty building plan.
UPDATE: Use group message/private inbox until website is up. Consider lfg post closed. Interested players inquiring about openings should contact me directly in the future.
I think a small army as backup would be nice to have (IE, we go to a planet, and there's an ole' temple there, we'll need someone to secure the perimeter and serve as cannon fodder for possible traps, etc.)
