Similarly, if you are using Zoom, you can go to advanced screen sharing and share only your computer sound. Then just play spotify on your desktop.
Spotify have introduced a share playlist feature, which might be useful. I was looking for a way to get Spotify shared with my group and found this. I could do it through discord but I know it requires group members to have Spotify premium accounts as well. I haven't tested yet whether this works with other users who aren't premium though, but will update when I test this.
Gonna Dig up this 7 year old grave to say, this really should be possible now.
Spotify/Pandora linking to the Jukebox would make music collection so much easier.
Agreed (though I use YTM).

Anyone know when this will be possible? I'm surprised it has been talked about for 7 years and nothing has been done.
I’m really surprised this and similar sound options haven’t crawled their way higher by now. The existing jukebox is horribly clunky. Any way to incorporate Syrinscape or Spotify or any other streaming platform would make everything so much easier to organize and create playlists. Battlebards etc just ain’t cutting it and having to purchase and download music locally is antiquated at this point.
We all know whatever Wizards is cooking up with DDB is going to have this covered.
Yep, keen for this too. Gonna have some hags, who know and share knowledge some hags on our plane of existence, play dnb at a royal party.
Hey Devs!! I see you like ignoring people like so many other devs. Spotify integration should have happened by now. I am currently using your video stuff but honestly not for very long. The sound features just are cutting it. +1 to Spotify Intergration
There are so many dead posts about updating the jukebox, and the biggest one that indexed them all is closed. This is imo the biggest weakness in the system as a whole and it’s largely treated as solved, albeit perhaps tacitly. Wether it’s Spotify, syrinscape, whatever, it’s time to make the jukebox up to date. It’s clunky, prone to bugs, and limiting in options. If you’re a DM like me who wants to curate a wide variety of music for different encounters and environments, you’re either stuck with the limited palette of fair use audio in the system (which is AWFUL to attempt to search through) or buying music on iTunes just to import it into the game.
The best solution should be to connect to a streaming platform like Spotify so roll20 doesn’t have to develop a better playlist management system but I understand that there may be some legal issues there. Literally anything at this point though would be an upgrade.

This ^
Spotify supports integration in other apps, there's a framework in place. I'm certain a deal could be made to integrate this. Even if it requires an upcharge to support the deal.
I've been a DM for 5+ years and never used music because it felt so hard to do with Roll20. Some of my players have started playing with another group and have been asking to start doing music in my game.
I have a playlist on spotify I've made but it would be so much easier if I could just play it through roll20.
