First-timer looking to get into D&D 4e...

Hi, I just stumbled across this place and thought I'd give it a try. I suppose I'm technically a newb; I've only played two hours, at one of those weekly "Encounters" things, in the noisy backroom of a game store run by a guy who didn't seem to care about answering questions. I've got the first Player's Handbook, but I learned most of what I know from those Penny Arcade game podcasts. Also, I've never created a character before--I'm experimenting with the online Character Builder right now, in fact. So I was wondering if there were any groups of similarly inexperienced newbs out there looking to learn the game. I'm free over the weekends, and my time zone is PST (UTC-8, I think). Hey im also i noob im in one campaign but looking for a second. I will tell you daniel that what i have found is that this is a good website to find people that will help and play with noobs if you want i can help you make your character sheet.

A lot of new players have banded together to get something going in this thread. Why don't you guys stop by and see if there's room for you in a group?

Yeah, I spotted that one just after starting this one. (Whoops, I guess.) Also, I finally figured out the "looking for group" search thing and found a 4e "learning session", and they just invited me in. Thanks, though.
