Greetings, For the past couple months I have been running my D&D Path to Glory campaigns for new players and I have had a fantastic response. I am getting ready to run the next two tables and I just had a last minute drop out from my Saturday campaign. If you are interested in learning how to play D&D 4th edition with a group of other brand new players, please review the information below and respond. Right now I only have 1 seat open at the table and it will go to the first person that confirms they meet the requirements and can play.
Requirements.
1) You cannot have played D&D 4th before (preferable never played a
tabletop before). This game will be specifically to teach new players
how to play table top, and I have found this works best when everyone
(besides the DM) are on the same level. 2) When
gaming on roll20 I want to be able to talk with the group and
the group to be able to talk back. I do not do text based
conversation
as I have found it is too slow and cumbersome on the DM
with new players. You will have to have some
kind of audio communication. Additionally, I prefer to use
Skype as the built in roll20 audio never seems to cooperate with
everyone in the group.
3) I live in Eastern Standard Time (EST) and I will be
running the
campaign on Saturdays from 12:00 PM - 4:30 PM. The first session will be tomorrow (5/11/2013) and there will be two more play session on each of the following weeks. Please confirm that you can play all three play sessions. What you can expect for this campaign
This will be a fun, light-hearted introduction to the world of
tabletop gaming. The first session of the campaign will be character
generation and an introduction battle to learn the basic mechanics. No
per-generated characters, we are going to learn how to play the game.
From there I will have a two-session home brewed mini-campaign with
the characters. This campaign will have no specific setting and thus no
lore that needs to be studied. The campaign will give all the players a
good feel for the game and have a chance to see all it offers.
Finally, if you own a digital or hard copy of the D&D 4th edition
Players Handbook, great you will need it. If you do not, I will supply
what you need so you do not have to spend money on something that might
not be your cup of tea.
Let me know if you are interested and I will PM you further details. I look forward to seeing you at the table!
