Shadowrun woes

ive been trying to find a group for shadowrun 5e for the longest time with no luck. theres gotta be a bunch of people that want to, but nobody's really putting up any listings for it. Whats the deal?
no clue man, im in the same boat as you. ive been itching to play some shadowrun 5e but nooope. if you find a group let me in on it haha
If you can find a GM who actually puts effort into the game to bring the story to life I might be interested. I've encountered GM's who are really boring and thus gives no incentive for players to actually role play. A good story, good level editing + NPC tokens so we aren't in an empty room and informed there are people all around us.
I posted elsethread the other day, and yeah, I've been thinking of giving Shadowrun a try myself. My experience is pretty much limited to Returns/Dragonfall and those itmeJP videos, but I've got the 5e core book...
i'm looking for a 5e game too, well just looking for a shadowrun game period
Like any popular game, everyone wants to play and no one wants to run. Shadowrun is no exception. Either someone needs to step up and run or a group needs to form around rotating GM responsibilities. There just aren't enough GMs available.
I would like to get to know how to play shadowrun, I have the 4th ed book but never find any groups that are noob friendly, I have only played it once back in 3rd ed and it was good but the dm killed us in a gang fight. if you are looking for players shoot me a pm..
Okay, so there are plenty of potential players--if someone here knows the game well enough to GM, we're in business...
Aside from the shadowrun subreddit, I know of 0 GMs for Shadowrun

Shadowrun is insanely complex to GM both because of matric/astral space creating three separate games that runs in parallell but also because the basic rule set is completely exception based with nitty gritty special rule systems for everything imaginable and then some. I run it with my friends IRL, but I cant imagine running it with total strangers on a online tabletop. That sounds like a recipie for migraine...

yeah but thats mostly like one shots. yeah you can carry your character over but every single run will be with a new GM and a new team. tis not exactly to my likeing, idk about the rest of you.
ill play some shadowrun if a game pops up
I have a 4e game on sats at 11a CST that I need one or two more players
I have a friend that is interested in giving Shadowrun a shot, too. No idea about 5E, but I own a lot of 4ed 20th material. Also, yes - don't expect to just find a perfect GM to run. After trying to do exalted, and getting better at managing some things, I've decided that games will either round-robin or there will be clearly defined, distribution of responsibilities at the table. There most definitely should be someone doing minutes or, at minimum, keeping a clear record of player goals/direction. I hate having to take hours to explain things every single session. With that being said, I'm a storyteller that loves to instigate immersion, and I like players that actually roleplay, and don't just crunch everything, make it a mechanical video game, and ask, "Did I kill everything yet?" Drama, being proactive, competence and characterization - all a melting pot of various gaming advice and philosophies. Fate Core helped me mature quite a bit last winter. I'm CST, and my friend is EST - he's probably rather new, and I've had mediocre experience with the system. Driven, enthusiastic players help, either way!
