Homebrew Help

Hey, so I've been a DM for a long time but this is my first time using roll20 (long story short I live in a different state than my players). We decided to start a new campaign when we made the choice to use roll20. As a story based DM I always like to try something different and new. I/We opted to do a Sengoku area fantasy vs a European fantasy game. That being said DnD 3.5 (and arguably most any pre-rendered system) does not have the best Eastern Campaign. Its not my first Homebrew rodeo but it is for roll20 (obviously). Now that the short back story is over the question for you guys is: What is the best way to implement all the documents needed for a Homebrew game? (Character sheets (i suck at HTML / CSS), Races, Classes, etc)
Character Sheets: When you create your campaign in ROll20 you can choose a 3.5 character sheet option and everyone will get access to it. Races, classes, etc: There's nothing you really need to do on Roll20; it's just providing the TableTop and Dice Roller for you with some extra perks. Your campaign notes and planning, etc are still all you. Character Creation rules, restrictions, details about your campaign, etc are often included in the Campaign Description when you create it or as a Forum Post in the campaign's Forums.

I know it's not exactly what you're asking for, but I've always been a fan of Legend of the Five Rings for running feudal Japanese/Chinese style games. It's a very lethal system whose mechanics met my needs for theme and tone. Similarly for a narratively driven game you might like FATE. It's like GURPS in that you can run it for any setting, but with a narrative storytelling focus over reality simulation. Both of these systems have character sheets already made by community members and ready to use in Roll20. Now to actually answer your question: For home brew games I'd recommend keeping it very simple. As a Mentor you can create a custom sheet if you choose or just track a handful of attributes from the Attributes and Abilities tab. You might read up on Dungeon World because it specializes in creating the world collaboratively with your players, so that way you don't have to try and come up with an elaborate system or setting until the game moves into that space.
Hey thanks for the advice. I and my players are acustom to 3.5 so I checked out Legend of the Five Rings and it's cut a lot of the work down so thanks again
