Select token

Hi all How to select a token that is visible, but is below some other tokens with transparency? Thanks
Can't without either moving or changing the z-order of the tokens.

Thanks If two tokens are on the same level and one is on the other, you can right click on the top token and click the "To Back" option and it will move it behind all other tokens, leaving the one you want to access ontop.

If you or your GM was a mentor i'm sure someone could write an API script that would bring a token to the front based on turn order or something... someone = aaron most likely... probably already written it just in case or picked up this thread using his API-sense...
Thanks all for your answers. I'm creating a campaign now and have had some problems with tokens in the map layer who completely cover each other. I'll need to move upper-select desired-bring to front-move back.

Tokens should be on the token layer so that your players can access them... unless you are assuming complete control? Either way having them on the map layer is a bad idea as your might accidentally drag some scenery/the entire map out of position with a mis-click. That being said 'send to back/front' is your only real option for finding those pesky hidden tokens, yes.
Thanks Ziechael These tokens are all part of the map. Think on floor, walls and permanent illumination. Illumination is on front and floor on the back, so it is hard to select and move a wall. If I move the light back, it gets hidden behind the floor.

I see what you mean now... i tend to make all my maps on an outside program with easily selectable layers and then import them as 1 image then just add dressing as needed afterwards. Doesn't help you right now though does it... I would strongly recommend doing all of the background/walls/floors etc first, making sure you are 100% happy with that before moving onto lighting and set dressing though. Alternatively do all your mapping on the map level, add set dressing on token level and then you can just select all and move to map level when you are happy?

Thanks all again. Will try.
