virtual tabletop maker that triggers events ?

I'm looking for a virtual tabletop maker I can use to randomly generate events ( not just enemies ) but things thay cause other things to happen i.e. like reveal a path that change the map or randomly generate invisble objects, npcs ( if possible without fog of war ) It would be nice if it was 3d or at lest something I could use to import 3 models and also animations for weather etc Can r20 do this, or Is there anything else I could use with little or simple macro ? I ideally want to use this to help create story where I would be playing against myself or a.i. based on my input .

You could possibly pull some of that off with the API (mentor level feature) but from how I'm interpreting what I'm reading, roll20 won't fulfill your wants properly or fully without lots of work. You might want to google virtual tabletops to see what else there is. There are one or two out there that are using a 3d video game engine for their graphics. I don't know what they are offhand and they are outside the scope of this forum anyway. Good luck.

Nothing you've described is going to be "simple" in any VTT, Roll20 or otherwise. Roll20 (as well as most other VTTs) cannot handle true 3d graphics, however you could use 2d renders of 3d objects. (I suppose you could use the API to render graphics by writing a 3d rendering engine in JavaScript, but that would be exceptionally complicated.) It sounds to me like what you really want is to create a video game, which VTTs are not designed to do. If you're willing to live with a 2d game, I would recommend RPG Maker, I believe the most recent version of which is available on Steam. If you're dead-set on making a 3d video game... um... go to school, learn the skills necessary to become part of a video game development team (this could be any of a number of talents; games need mroe than just programmers and artists, they also need designers, voice actors, testers, etc.), and then submit your resume to a game company.

None of those, as far as I'm aware, are going to get you anything close to the single-player experience you appear to be looking for.

As I stated before that unless this discussion is about roll20 and how to make it work to its best to do what you want or close to it, this thread will be classified as off topic. Helena, your post with other vtt link and attempt to create discussion about competing VTT is against the CoC and I removed the post. If you feel that decision was in error, please feel free to contact the devs at <a href="mailto:team@roll20.net" rel="nofollow">team@roll20.net</a>
The closest thing I can think of that can somewhat answers the question is to look into the Mythic Game Master PDF supplement and use it in conjunction with Roll20 and your desired RPG; it's a system-neutral book that can help facilitate for quick plots and scenarios and from what I heard, and it can be used for solo-only games (one player and no GM)

Even some customisable version of minesweeper / battleships would be good for a tile map encounter , I was also thinking of random link generator for tiles / objects / npcs that would open up into some submenu of options.
Outside of rolling dice, the only automation available in roll20 is through javascript API scripts. It doesn't look like Roll20 is the tool for you, and not the forum to discuss alternative solutions.
