We are currently running a 5e, homebrew campaign, and we are looking for a few players. Due to circumstances beyond our control (My sister's work schedule, for example) we have lost three players in our campaign, and we need a few more to fill out the group. The sessions are every other Saturday, beginning at 8 in the morning (CST) and ending at 8 in the evening (CST). We are a well established group, which includes my father, my two older brothers, my cousin, my cousin's friend, and a gentlemen we found on these forums. I am DMing and this campaign is meant to be a LONG campaign. I have it broken up into 7 major parts, with each major part having smaller things within it, and in the last year, they have only completed one portion of it. We understand that 12 hours is a long time to be sitting and playing D&D, which is why we take breaks rather often. If you need an hour off to head to the store, that's fine with us. If you have to run to the bank to deposit a check, that works to. We will have someone take over your character for the time you are gone, and we will continue on. The current group make up is as follows: A human Paladin who has the feel of a "tank", a half-orc barbarian who focuses on damage, a human monk, an elven, life-domain, cleric, a healing, homebrew, elven druid, a drow mage specialized in evocation, a gnome mage/bard specialized in illusion, and a halfling ranger. Currently, we have two people playing two characters, which we are trying to alleviate. We would like to get rid of the life-domain cleric, either the paladin or the barbarian, and the druid, eventually. This leaves a hole in healing, which is the classes we prefer the people joining us take. I'm open to ALOT of idea. Do you have a great idea for a homebrew class or path you would like to bring? Pitch your idea and we can figure it out together. We are trying to focus more on role playing in our sessions. Role playing, for us, can take place at ANYTIME, not just when I (the DM) says it happens. Do you feel like trying to pet a dragon because you think it's a kitty, due to your low mental capabilities? I'm all for it. Did someone just crit against a goblin and now that goblin's head is on the floor, and you want to pick up the head and throw it at someone? Be my guest. I award extra XP for role playing when it's unexpected, as to encourage it as much as possible. Write me here or send me a message on roll20 if you are interested or have other questions!
this is really hard core. I haven't run 12 hour marathon sessions since 1985 when I was 19 years old in the Navy. good luck, I hope you find players. I would sign up, but I'm already playing in a well-established traveler campaign.
