Dice pool modifier macro?

Hi folks, I'm playing a Mon Calamari in a Star Ward D6 game. For those unfamiliar, it uses a d6 dice pool. But my character gets -1 die in dry environments, and +1 in wet environments. Is there a way to create a macro to take that into account? For example, I have a basic macro for shooting my blaster rifle (/roll 5d6+1 to hit, /roll 5d6 damage). Can I use something like a selected token or anything to change the dice rolled?
Hit [[ ( 5 + ?{Pool Modifier?|0} )d6 +1 ]] for [[ 5d6 ]] Dmg
Sorry for being unlearned, but how do I set up the pool modifier? Is that something I can change on the fly, or would I create three different modifiers (-1d6, 0, +1d6)?

Hello WJ. Have you checked out the Grouping dice and the roll query in the wiki for information?
Yes, but as far as I could tell, a roll query would require I input the # of dice each time, which is kinda pointless to me. Why not skip the macro and just roll the built-in dice? And Grouping Dice seems related, but I'm not sure how the syntax could handle "-1d6". Mark G.'s reply is great, but I'm hoping to set the variable once and not re-input it every time I use the macro. Like, if I'm on a desert planet for the night, I can set Pool Modifier to -1 and not adjust it until I get off-planet. Does that make sense?

Just copy/paste the macro as-is. The ?{Pool Modifier|0} is a roll query. that means it will prompt you for a value when you hit the macro. You would enter "0" for no change, "1" for a an additional d6, or a "-1" for one less d6. ( I mistakenly assumed this was more like how Pathfinder/D&D handles terrain in that it's conciderably more mercurial. If it's a pretty static effect then yes you would want to make it an attribute or something) If you want to use one of the token bubbles on your Token, you can change this to: Hit [[ ( 5 + @{selected|Bar2} )d6 +1 ]] for [[ 5d6 ]] Dmg You would leave BAR2 on your token a "0" when normal, "1" or an extra d6, or "-1" for one less d6. Whenever your terrain option changes, update the token bar. If you prefer an attribute on your sheet, that's simply Hit [[ ( 5 + @{AttributeName} )d6 +1 ]] for [[ 5d6 ]] Dmg

You can do this. Go to your Attributes & Abilities tab, click the leftmost +Add, and create an attribute. Name it 'Pool Modifier' and set it to whatever you want it to be. Then, in your macro, use @{Pool Modifier} to pull that value and use it in your macro. Using the example above: Hit [[ ( 5 + @{Pool Modifier} )d6 +1 ]] for [[ 5d6 ]] dmg
