LFG Pathfinder Jade Regent Campaign. EST ( reserves needed, main slots filled)

Aww, what a good portrait for Cho! I can never find good art for my characters. Hahaha that's what I thought too. Is there like a secret character portrait website? We probably just make our characters "backwards" by envisioning them first then trying to find art that will never perfectly fit them.
Cho is pretty adorable looking (for a witch) ;)
Cho's portrait is awesome. Now I just need to find a decent halfling portrait, because my character sheet now looks empty by comparison.
Just been looking up Alignment to make sure I don't want to do a last second change, whilst looking I read this: "A Chaotic Good character favors change for a greater good..." In my enterpritation, I see this as a good reason for a good reason for a good person to use Necromancy on top of my RP reason, They will use anything at their disposal for the greater good and if that so happens to be the legions of the damned, so be it. Hell, I could even quote Harry Potter, If you need anything else about my alingment see here: <a href="http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BadPowersGoodPeople" rel="nofollow">http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BadPowersGoodPeople</a> I think looking at the name of the link shows what it is enough.
Cho is pretty adorable looking (for a witch) ;) Have you never seen Sabrina the Teenage Witch?
She's not a witch, she's Clarissa Explains it All! :) Liam - It's a good idea, all in all. Chaotic Good can come in all shapes and sizes, just keep in mind using these evil powers can often come with a price. Using the Dark Side of the Force is still evil, regardless of how you use it. It opens up interesting roleplaying opportunities.
You could always forego the necromancy spells that summon undead...and just use the other necro spells - be a "white necromancer". Some of the lore on Pharasma talks about that a bit. But at the same time, I think a whole part of the Cruoromancer is to be able to control undead. /shrug I'm interested in the campaign - been wanting to play this one - but at the same time I don't wanna say I can play (if I was to be accepted) because I'm starting my last year of college next week and would like to get a feel for my school schedule first. With all the people wanting to play - it looks REALLY arcane heavy lol, so I may try something outside of that.
Honestly I would have prefered to let this go on before I started accepting, but the guys I see now are looking good. Everyone apart from Liam is accepted. Consider yourself on reserve should anyone no longer be able to play. Officially the Evil and Good descriptors for spells TECHNICALLY has no effect on being used EXCEPT that good and evil clerics can not use opposing spells due to their spells coming from the Gods. Anyone else can use them as much as they want with no alignment effect, but this is a VERY common area of debate with GMs when it comes to their players using them. My feeling is it depends on the spell in question. In 3.5 Deathwatch had an evil descriptor just like animate dead, but makes no sense for being evil other then maybe the base gods of 3.5 not wanting their good aligned followers to see death or something. But Animate Dead, the mere ACT of raising a dead body to fight, is something seen as evil. This does not make you instantly evil for using it, especially if used for good intent. But the issue becomes what OTHERS see this as. The Gods of Pathfinder have declared that raising undead is unnatural and evil, and your character will be veiwed even more negatively if witnessed performing this act. While it takes a lot for I, the GM, to declare your alingment as shifting due to using undead, the PEOPLE of this world on the other hand are a different story. Put yourself in their shoes, your character is a being born from the unnatural mix of life and undeath, one that very rarely manages to subdue the evil inherent and flowing in their veins. And despite claiming to be one of those few, this being suddenly raising corpses forth to fight for him creating more undeath that their Gods claim to be evil!? Their response will almost always be harsh, either completely banishing you or raising the militia and mobs. If I do need you in the future and you still want to use Grigori, that is fine by me, just keep in mind my warnings about the fact I will be roleplaying how I feel the people of this world will react. And a large amount of that is based on the Dhampir fluff notes in the Advanced Race Guide. Maybe I am just being nice to the Dhampir idea because he reminds me of D. Man I loved those novels back in high school. Now on to other notes. Would those I accepted mind helping me out and breaking their characters down more for me? It was always my opinion that I disliked hearing 'we got these four classes but this role is missing so try taking class X', just HATED that. Is the fighter melee, DPS, Tank, or ranged, and the same sort of question applies to every class. This I find to be even bigger in Pathfinder because the classes are designed to be so 'customizable' now. So long story short, what types of roles are your characters? To help you out here is what I see so far, correct me if my assumptions are wrong or I am missing a few things -Ian is using a Bard that focuses on archery and being a face for the party if I remember discussions with him right. -His friend tekki is 'Traditional Rogue', once again if I remember things right. -Zach is running a strong frontline summoner. -Dylan is running a Fighter of the half-orc variety, my assumption is the classic bruiser type -Andrew has a sorceror and if his plans don't change, he plans on taking rogue levels too. A definite magical trickster, usually this means a focus on battlefield control and debuffs. -Tori has a witch and honestly, so far I am unsure of where you are going with this one role wise. Arcane casters in general tend to be tough to bill their intended role without being told more by their player. especially this character, soooo much potential for many different styles based on her personality and background write ups. on a side note, Tori, your character profile pic looks perfect for a siblling of ameiko. It looks like an image I seen before but can't be sure.
Architorture, I am full now, BUT feel free to try and make up a character anyway. Reserves are always appreciated because life happens. To anyone I claim to be holding on reserve, should I need you in the future, I will send a PM to those on the list. The first to respond will be brought in to replace whoever drops out. So far I only have Liam on my reserves. Also anyone else use skype, AIM or even Steam? that way i can chat with you guys one on one with any concerns I may have at all. I will be sending out Mumble information as well soon.
Send me your steam email/username when you send me the mumble info, I tend to avoid skype lately. However, if everyone else uses skype and wants to make a group convo I'll, of course, comply.
You can find me under Zabrak12 on Skype, and RustyBearTrap on Steam. In terms of my Half-orc I'm going for a more DPS than tanky fighter. Typical sword and board with light armor, but I was going to try and get some medium armor relatively soon. I was also thinking, if the stars align right, of taking a couple levels in Paladin as my character progress but that all depends on the campaign and how I role-play him. On another note, I am really excited to play given that locally I am the Forever-GM. I think everyones characters look pretty great and I'm liking how we aren't an typical party. ALSO ALSO the Caravan rules look like great fun.
I'll make a character for fun/reserve. Thinking a caster sort of druid.
I believe Tori mentioned taking up healing. Depending on what's needed, Ezzran would have no problem being an emergency healer, but it's not something he can do full time. I'm Narcisism on Skype, and >MS>Ezzran on Steam. Feel free to add me :P Also, those of you who get the info, please do a quick login to the mumble server, click "Self" and click "Register". This will register you on the server permanently so I can give people the necessary permissions and such. Thanks! :) I'll be Ian on mumble when we start, and I'll probably keep it open for a bit so I can do admin-y things with permissions.
Honestly I cant STAND how popular skype is, it sucks up WAY TOO many resources, going to get out those PMs.
Yeah I tend to use it when I have to. I can't even really do more than browse the internet and chat here while Skype is running. It's why I put up the mumble server for use :P Those of you who don't have mumble can get it here: <a href="http://mumble.sourceforge.net/" rel="nofollow">http://mumble.sourceforge.net/</a> The server itself is in Herndon, VA, so I think most of us shouldn't have any major troubles. I'm in Colombia, and I don't have troubles with it, so unless you're overseas everything should be okay. If you're not familiar with mumble or somewhat tech illiterate, I'll be available on Skype and Steam to lend assistance until about 1 or 2AM EST :) And David you might want to edit the OP to show that we have enough players for now, if you haven't already.
Kael, the Sorcerer, a Human with predilections towards larceny. You could think of him as a sort of traditional Gypsy fortune teller (with magic spells). He'll be useful in situations where we need a dedicated liar, especially to prey upon people's superstitions. As a character, he'll progress from sorcerer, to rogue, to Harrower, to possible levels in Arcane Trickster. For a while I'll be focusing on some minor damage along with some party buffs (via divination spells). Once I get levels in Harrower I'll be able to buff the group a little bit better.
It seems we have 4 buffers in our party, haha. We could use some offensive casting, I think.
Offensive casting? Newb talk in my mind :P my opinion is why use damage spells when the fighters and archers do roughly the same amount of damage for their levels all day long. It's the job of the arcane casters to keep the party alive be it through buffs, debuffs, or battle control. Granted the occasional AoE spell is VERY useful. As long as it ain't another fireball, so overrated when soooo many monsters get fire immunity.
It seems we have 4 buffers in our party, haha. We could use some offensive casting, I think. Who needs offensive casting when you can buff the hell out of the fighter?
With all the buffs we have, we'll be nigh unstoppable xD Also, all we need is someone with tindersticks. Wait, those are cheap. I'LL carry tindersticks. And I have Grease >:) Floor of fire, anyone? Tekki might go ShadowDancer eventually, too. So that could be fun.
This just came up on Mumble, and I can not beleive I never mentioned this before. Players who played in my games irl know I know my number one homerule. Well it's not so much a homerule per say. I am not a big fan of letting a character who dies early on be replaced by a new character, nor do I want to drop ressurecton stuff early on in case something happens. I like to encourage people to not make backup characters and become so focused on this new backup character it overshadows the current character. So in response, I drop reincarnation items somewhat early on, should death occur, and I remove the level drop should players use one of those rare reincarnation items, but they will take level drops on new characters. Also this is my cruel sadistic DM side at HOPING you come back as something crazy like a Kobold or even a Gnoll and have to somehow leave the inn you got reincarnated in :P Just something to be aware of, I have been known to add animals to the reincarnation list. i still laugh my buttocks off remembering the paladin who came back as a Squirrel using an acorn top as a shield...

FEAR MY SQUIRRELLY MIGHT!!! *smite evil* (Read in the voice of Foamy the Squirrel)
Haha, thanks for the compliments everyone! I don't think I've ever had a character portrait generate so much conversation before :P It was just a combination of luck and photoshop trickery. I tweaked the colors a little and added the freckles, the original I saved off tumblr or something ages ago but I managed to find it on deviantart just now: <a href="http://idnar.deviantart.com/art/CG-Mai-Shiranui-14885417" rel="nofollow">http://idnar.deviantart.com/art/CG-Mai-Shiranui-14885417</a> If anyone finds a picture that's close to what they're looking for I /might/ be able to fix it up. Feel free to PM or IM me and I'll see what I can do. Speaking of IMs, on skype I'm Tori_Turner, and on AIM and Steam I'm C0rvidae (note: the 0 is a zero!) I'd planned on Cho being mostly buff/debuff, and I'm probably going to nab the Cauldron hex and Scribe Scroll feat early on since she's got the Cure line and we don't really have a primary healer. If Andrew's going to focus mostly on buffing I can just concentrate on debuffs and any situational stuff that he shouldn't be wasting limited Spell Known slots on. Also damn it now I kind of want to play a whole campaign with itty bitty critter heroes...
Ezzran might buy a wand of cure light wounds eventually. And he has access to healing spells if it turns out we need to get them.
Unfortunately don't be killing yourself off now, because I only did that animal list for the few shortlived Kingmakers I ran. I felt it fit Kingmaker more then anything considering the SHEER number of animals that pop up as random encounters considering the area could be compared to the Canadian wilderness. Kingmaker takes place in the River Kingdoms for those interested in Golarion geography. Jade Regent STARTS in Varisia, then the Caravan is gonna move north, all the way north. Through the Land of the Linnorn Kings(yes this IS the name of the country, and it's fairly close to the Realm of the Mammoth Lords), and keeps going past the north pole of this world into Tian Xia. <a href="http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb57889/pathfinder/images/e/e5/PZO9226-StolenMap.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb57889/pathfinder/images/e/e5/PZO9226-StolenMap.jpg</a> I also do some drawing myself, but I would rather you guys find your own pics then rely on your dungeon master :P Unless of course you bribe me with an item off steam or tf2.... >.> <a href="http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/172/e/4/tesla_cross_hatching_study_by_cheshirevash-d54aeym.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/172/e/4/tesla_cross_hatching_study_by_cheshirevash-d54aeym.jpg</a> And that is being smart Ian, Cure light wounds wand is one of the best buys early on. 50 heals for 750 GP. That is 15 GP per heal compared to 50 GP a potion.
Wait... so we are going to try to reach the North Pole with medieval equipment...? That doesn't sound very promising... Should be fun!
.... Also damn it now I kind of want to play a whole campaign with itty bitty critter heroes... Maybe we can get David to run a mouseguard game on the side!

Side note, I managed to find a decent portrait for Ezzran! :D
Side note, I managed to find a decent portrait for Ezzran! :D Nice! I like.
Could always use more people on reserve list.
<a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=435452" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=435452</a> Atticus Bynn. An inquisitor of Norgorber, evil god of thieves, spies, and deception. He joins the caravan as a cover for his quest to travel and locate a rogue inquisitor of his order.
I will be looking at it more in depth soon but with a brief look over I noticed something. In fact it's something I forgot to check for on the other sheets so I got to go back and double check now. This is something that is easy to not realize/forget about/etc, trait bonuses do not stack. You are MORE then welcome to have two traits that give the same bonus, but that bonus will not stack. In your case you got both traits granting a +1 bonus to sense motive. In your case you do have a easy choice in this matter, World traveler has 2 other options for that trait bonus to apply to. Now speaking in general here, if someone wants to keep same bonus granting traits because no other trait seems to fit the character's background, then I am fine with that. EDIT: and everyone else checks out ok in that regards, no overlaps.
unless anyone else sees something, the sheet checks out with me, you can be on the reserve list. I would like a better backstory, but this is actually better this way. If I need you, then we can help develop a backstory based more on party location at that time.
<a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=435452" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=435452</a> Fixed.
Definitely on the list for reserved then. Three people on the list for reserves. That is good enough in my opinion for backups.
Hey David I`d Like to be on your Reserve`s. <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=440289" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=440289</a>
