Vision and Light

Hello I came across a bug with the token Vision and Light part under advanced token settings. It seems that if you put under Emits light: 1ft/1ft/360 and then check "Has Sight" 360/1x the tokens can see everything as long as their sight is not directly blocked by a dynamic lighting wall. In a 100ft by 100ft room test, when placed in the center the tokens could see all 4 walls and down the halls all the way until the hall turned a corner. I was trying to make it so players playing races, with no darkvision, cant see in front of them but can still see their own token. I figured out you could put under "Emits Light" 0ft/0ft/360 and have "Has Sight" checked with 360/1x works. the pc can still see their token but cant see anything around their token. I thought at least 1ft would be better to be able to see their token but its bugged that way.

Cory, I'm guessing this has to do with a known bug where the dynamic lighting fails after a long distance. If they're nearer to the wall, say 10ft away can they still see the close wall?
Yes they can.
Did you enable dynamic lighting for that page/map?
Yes I did.

Next thing to check would be to make sure that Global Illumination is not checked. If that's checked, you essentially put light everywhere.
I did not have Global Illumination checked. The only 2 options I had checked were Enable Dynamic Lighting and Restrict Movement (So the PC's can't just walk through the walls) And before anyone else comments I want to make sure that people are completely reading the entire post... I said I found a way to make what I wanted to do work. Therefore I had everything setup right. I played around with the settings for a few hours, jumping back and forth between player and GM, before I got it to work. I only posted here to bring to the attention of the developers the bug I had found after playing around with it for a few hours... This was not a request for help, though I do appreciate everyone's enthusiasm to help out a fellow Mentor. I will reiterate that the bug I found was when you put into the fields under "Emits Light" 1/1/360, with "Has Sight" checked with the fields 360/1x, with Dynamic Light and Restrict Movement being the only options checked for the page that the token can see everything that is not directly blocked by a Dynamic Lighting Wall. Even though technically, with those parameters, it shouldn't be able to see anything, not even the color of the floor its standing on, as its only Emitting a tiny (think size of a cockroach) amount of light around itself. I tested this in a 100ft x 100ft room with 30ft hallways at each side, it could see the entire room as well as down each hallway with no dimming. Once I changed those parameters to 0/0/360, and 360/1x I was able to achieve my goal. It should work with the parameters being 1/1/360, but for some reason it doesn't.

Cory, the reason I'm asking is because when I do the set up as you suggest I'm not getting the same behavior.
Hmm weird. I just tried it again a little while ago and your right it's not doing it this time. I was on my work computer so it could of just been a weird glitch.
The one constant that I usually see when people encounter bugs with rolling, or lighting, is that they are using IE, Internet Explorer. It appears using IE creates a lot of issues.
No I use Mozilla even at work.

Let me know if you can figure out how to replicate it and I'll take another look.
