D&D 5e character sheets not saving?

First off, just wanted to say thank you to whomever made the D&D 5e character sheet. It's brilliant! However, I am having an issue saving. To help illustrate I made a JING below. Basically if I click on a PC's character sheet, it opens to https://app.roll20.net/editor/popout. If I make changes in that sheet, sometimes they save, and sometimes they do not. I'm guessing it's handled by AJAX with some sort of timer or event that fires a save, because there's no specific save button. However, if I click the "edit" button, and it opens the popup with the token, etc. *that* page has an explicit save button, which works. My question is: is there a reliable way to force a save the https://app.roll20.net/editor/popout version of the sheet? Or do we always edit that sheet, click edit, click save to reliably save? Thanks! http://screencast.com/t/2gXVX7zY

It should save when you change it. Do you only get loss of data with the sheet popped out?

Yeah, it's an issue from the popout where saving is dubious. Me and my players are experiencing it. However, I'm not aware of anyway to access handouts in a way that isn't popped out? Basically I just click stuff from the journal and it pops out. Any suggestions on a work around? Thanks.

There is a check box in the settings pane for "always pop out sheets" or some such. Also, there is a button in the upper left corner for popping out and in.

This is not the cause of the 5e sheet. All sheets save the same way: On blur of the input. I haven't experienced any kind of data loss though.
I figured it was on blur but even that is not reliable in pop out mode
