@Maimed Jester I thought I had responded to you but I must have never hit send. This info is relevant to everyone who responded. You have fair concerns. To be specific, one player was in a group 10 years ago then moved away, two players were in my group a few years later then moved away. We haven't played together since those latest timestamps. I should be embarrassed at how long it's been. I'm no Ed Greenwood and this is no Forgotten Realms. :) There is literally 20 pages of player background that you should be familiar with at http://www.mirovan.com/books/world-mirovan. More info comes out in gameplay, which I then try to post. The rest is campaign history from the past (~50 pages) that you don't need to read. I don't place class or race restrictions. I ask players for a concept and we can figure out (or invent) how the character fits into the world. I have two restrictions: the party must trust each other (no PvP), and it is a heroic campaign. Anti-heroes and misfits are welcome, but they are going to work towards "good" goals, even if they don't have a good alignment or accomplish them in "good" ways. The party currently consists of two cadets in the city watch (good) and their CI (rogue, evil), and a cleric of the true death of the soul (evil). They are pursuing "good" goals with their own evil agendas. Morality is intentionally fluid in this setting. The current adventure is something of a police procedural (angels killing angels, the best they can figure out), but the party will be drawn outside of the city over the course of the campaign. PCs are currently at third level and I've got a major arc that will take them into high levels. I use milestone leveling because I should point out that we use milestone leveling because we are RP heavy, with story-driven combat, but some sessions may have only one or two battles. That said, I try to make them relevant to the plot and deadly difficult. PCs may die, but none have so far.
