Looking for Late Night Gamers

I'm looking to see if anyone would be interested in a late night game (midnight central time). I wanted to run a Pathfinder campaign and would welcome new or experienced players. I am new to roll20 and internet gaming in general but I have played DnD since ADnD and Pathfinder since it came out. Anyone interested would have to bare with me as I get to learn roll20. I know midnight is late but this is the internet, someone has to be up!
Which days? How are we communicating (hangout?)? I might be interested.
I might be able. I agree with the above mentioned questions. The rest is details.
I'm free any day of the week but probably wouldn't have enough time to game more than 2 or 3 times a week. Did you mean communicating during the game? I thought we would use the roll20 voice chat but if there was something you liked, I am open to suggestions.
I would be interested, but I don't know what Pathfinder is. Is it hard to learn? I've played D&D 2 and 3.5
im from chile, so im on gmt-4, in which time you will be mastering?
Jorge, Central time is -5 so it would be 1am for you I think.
I am a sun hating vampire and I never sleep, so I think I can join. I'm on EST.
I prefer hangouts. Internal voice/audio features of R20 are a hit and miss on Linux at the moment. Sign me up.
Jorge, Central time is -5 so it would be 1am for you I think. Correction to avoid confusion: Central time is -6. Eastern is -5.
Jorge, Central time is -5 so it would be 1am for you I think. Correction to avoid confusion: Central time is -6. Eastern is -5. Well we're in DST right now. For instance, it is 4am UTC right now and midnight here in Eastern time. UTC doesn't observe DST, but London and the UK do. For instance, in London it is 5am, so 1/2 of the year we're -5, and 1/2 we're -4 UTC because UTC doesn't observe DST.
I would be interested, but I don't know what Pathfinder is. Is it hard to learn? I've played D&D 2 and 3.5 Pathfinder is basically 3.75. You could probably use your 3.5 books without missing too much. (Although I highly recommend Pathfinder if you like 3.5) What days work best for everyone?
I prefer hangouts. Internal voice/audio features of R20 are a hit and miss on Linux at the moment. Sign me up. Is that google hangouts? I've never used them before but I'm willing to learn. Is that what most people prefer? I have used skype but not multiple people at once. I was assuming just voice chat (not video). Is there anyone who didn't have voice or want to use video?
I like the sound of this. I've played pathfinder awhile now, I know roll20 fairly well, and give na few more details, I can be available all weeknights.
I can probably get PDF versions of every book I don't have. I'm up for any day to do this! I'd even been open to two days a week as long as they are weekdays.

For timezone differences try <a href="http://zulutime.net/" rel="nofollow">http://zulutime.net/</a> to get some perspective.
i could play on friday till 10 AM if you want aahahahah and another week day just till 3AM chile (3am on -4gmt) or i will be fired LOL About the voice chat, i reccomend RaidCall } <a href="http://www.raidcall.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.raidcall.com/</a> Because you can control the external noise, and you can mute yourself in any time, and you can create many channels so, if the master needs to say something to just one player, he just drag that character to another channel and voilá. (Sorry about my barbaric english)
So it looks like there is some interest in this, lets do a quick head count. Everyone that wants to join, sound off and list which days are best for you. As soon as we have a day we can get started and we'll work out the voice chat as we go.
Monday Through Friday, Myself and another player would be interested. I'm on eastern time, As well. I'll sleep when I'm dead. I'm more of a typing based player myself, but I'll see where this goes. Also have openings in my games, reserved for DMs whom would like to play.
Can i join? I'm fairly new at rol and pathfinder, I have a few campaings over there... I'm also from Chile, I can play on friday just like Jorge E. ps: I also recommend Raidcall
Sound off here 1030 or later any night of the week, but Fri/Sat
I have never played Pathfinder but I have played 3.5 for 10 years, and I would like to try pathfinder. I can play any night so just lemme know, is there a link to your campaign?
That's 5 people! Plenty enough for a game. We have a potential DM?
Ok, it looks like we have some interest in friday , except Joel who said he can't play on fri(?), so would Thursday work for everyone? I have an initial adventure that I want to use to get a feel for running a game in roll20. Then if everyone wants to continue on I prefer to build my campaigns based on the characters in the game. That said, everyone that wants to play make a 1st level character. I have the Core rulebook, Advanced Players, and Ultimate Combat & Magic, so feel free to use anything from those. In my campaign world, orcs and goblins are playable races (although still not liked, orcs are generally seen as thugs and goblins as thieves), elves are very rare and are seen as almost mythical, dwarves are also rare and are generally disliked by humans (due to the dwarves refusal to help during an earlier war), half-elves are no more or less common but because of the elves disappearing are generally "true" half-elves (in that both parents are half-elves not one human one elf), gnomes are inventors and are responsible for most of the advanced technology (think tinker gnomes from Dragonlance just less comical), halflings are as varied as humans both in ability and appearence, half-orcs are half-orcs. Try to have some sort of background for your character. It doesn't have to be incredibly detailed (although the more the better) but you should be able to answer: What did the character do?, What is the character doing now?, What does the character want to do eventually?. If everyone wants to post what class they want to play, please do. If you have any questions, please ask.
If another player is needed, I'd gladly fill the spot. I'm available Thursday-Saturday nights (Central USA). I've never played PF but have played 3.5 so wouldn't be entirely new to it.
Thursday night is fine with me. I just don't want to agree to do it on a Friday and then want to go out. >_<
I'm interested in playing too. I'm from Peru, so i think i have the same time zone as Jorge and Eduardo. I've played pathfinder before, but just 3 times. I remember it was very similar to 3.5, and this is my first post ever in roll20, so you can guess i have 0 exp.
I'm just going to throw out my questions on this in a block here, What time are we looking at for Thursday? And as far as characters, I'd like to play a Human Monk. What Stat system are we using, and what rules for starting gold? He's a classical hero, Very easy going, Moderately educated, Good guy, good heart, well traveled, Looking to drift from town to town doing good. His character flaw is his drinking, and the history and all will be fleshed out with the sheet. But I'm just throwing that out to show I'm not looking to play a half demon world eater XD
This one is done, Will be getting the history/description/Goals on there this evening. <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=431886" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=431886</a>
What do we use to generate our starting stats?
Gotta character here, it's a combat oriented orcish rogue <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=431932" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=431932</a>
For ability scores use 4d6 drop lowest or if you prefer point buy use 20 points. For gold use average starting wealth. I plan to start the game at midnight Thur. I'll try to post the link by 11 or 11:30. @ Sinan: It wouldn't let me see your character. It said I wasn't authorized.
@Matthew F.: Looking over your character sheet-Tetori loses flurry for Graceful Grappler, don't know your human bonus feet grapple pin. what book is that in?
Sorry, I just made my sheet public, it should be viewable now. I bought my items assuming maximum starting gold, so I'll knock off a few items to bring it down to an appropriate level.
I also tried rolling for stats, and rolled amazingly high (18, 17, 16, 14, 13, 11). I'd understand if you'd want me to keep the lower values I originally got with point buy.
@Sinan A. Looked over your sheet: Interesting ability scores but everything looked fine. So far we have a monk and a rogue. I know it can be a burden for someone to play a cleric so I can run a NPC cleric if no one wants to. I am assuming made characters are confirmation to play at Midnight (central time or -5?) Thursday (that's Thursday night/Friday morning). I'm hoping at least 2 more confirm. I prefer groups of 4-6 PCs but I will post the link Thursday either way. If everyone has a good time I would like to make this a weekly game.
@ Sinan: Sorry your last post came up while I was typing, you can use your rolled stats, that's fine.
Is this still looking for players? Btw, you can use <a href="http://www.d20pfsrd.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.d20pfsrd.com/</a> for books it's a lot more convenient.
mmm i cant i think, midnight -5 its like 11 PM here in chile, and i have to work on friday, so i cant play with you guys. Sorry and good luck
mmmmm can somebody help me with the hour?, please David, tell me the exactly hour on chilean time, pretty please, becouse maybe i can play
It depends where in chile you live jorge, where do you live?
valparaiso, chile
It'd start at 1 am for you.
Okay, The Feat was stunning pin, I just wrote down the wrong thing, Ultimate combat is where it's drawn from. ( I was studying grapple so I get everything right for play :-P) Removed Flurry of blows too, I didn't catch that! I should be good to go, and I will be ready for Thursday come midnight.
Me and a friend made characters My Character: <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=432116" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=432116</a> His: <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=432119" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=432119</a> we have a backstorys, they just aren't on the sheets.
@matthew Thought that might have been what you meant. Everything else seemed fine. @felix Don't know the race ratfolk. What book are they from?
Advanced race guide, they're also on the srd which is just a compilation of most of the books. <a href="http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/featured-races/arg-ratfolk" rel="nofollow">http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/featured-races/arg-ratfolk</a>
well, i cant, 1am its impossible for me. sorry and good luck (if you change your mind and play on friday, count on me)
With the ratfolk, I'm going to discourage but not disallow. If the two of you want to play ratfolk, you can but you would be strangers in a strange land. Your race would not be known by common folk and you would be seen as monsters at best or wererats at worst. You would need to take great care to remain hidden or be attacked on sight. Diplomacy would be next to impossible. The Asian theme if fine but again you would be travelers far from your homeland.
Yeah, that was incorporated into are backstory heavily, we have reasons why we're exiled, though if we get attacked on sight it kinda gimps the point of me having 18 cha.
Well I know it's a fantasy world but apply some common sense thinking to it. You're a common peasant who has heard of elves and dwarves, maybe have seen a gnome or halfing, and then a giant 4 foot rat walks into town on his hind legs and starts talking to you. Again won't disallow but I will discourage.
