Eyes like Superman? Player can see maps loading

Hello All, We're quite new to Roll20, so this is a quick sanity check before I submit a full account -- in case there's already an answer. My players in the US have reported that throughout the campaign so far, they've been able to see at least one corner of "a map with a cavern" during startup -- even when the player ribbon was on other maps. Looking back, I did in fact load a map with a cavern as my very first Roll20 activity, but our campaign activity has been on other maps. Last night we reached a part of the adventure based in the cavern and I switched the player ribbon to its map. "Yes! Yes!" He said, "that's the one I've been seeing a glimpse of every time we start up." So there's a base map, monster tokens on top, and an overall "fog of war" -- he could clearly see through the fog of war for at least a moment because he read the nameplate for a few monster tokens. So I'm convinced and there goes that surprise ... Is this something people are familiar with? Perhaps I made an error in my setup? I hope the description is enough to make it clear. My players are here for the role-playing and fundamentally do not enjoy the technology so it would be fairly difficult to walk them through getting screenshots. Appreciate your help and feedback. There have been cases where user were able to see content they shouldn't have, it usually ends up being a bandwidth issue, where things are loading too slowly in the player's browser. It is weird that they would be seeing content that is not from the page they are on. I'm having trouble thinking of anything you could be doing wrong that would cause this. As a workaround, you could keep the monster tokens on the GM layer and move them to the object layer when they become relevant. Hopefully another Mod or a Dev has a better idea of something to look at...
Hi The Aaron, It's a practical workaround for part of the issue -- I've gone ahead and moved the tokens to the GM layer and pasted in an image that I hope will block that part of the map. Previously, I had left them "visible" in the Tokens layer because I assumed the Fog of War would cover them and that, as a new Roll20 GM, my players would benefit from a faster reveal (i.e. wouldn't have to wait while I shift them between layers). Thank you. Your suggestion about bandwidth is very apt, too. We are certainly experiencing constraints, being dropped, etc. and there are so many possible causes for that. As an end user, it's hard to diagnose. We use the Voice and Video function and I probably have a slightly heavy set of maps since I got caught up in fleshing out the environment with all the nifty artwork. The last two Fridays we have had a much worse time than our 1st two sessions -- we ended up having to fall back onto a rather poor speaker phone at each end (two people in US at one location and one player + GM in UK, so only two "ends" to our connection). In my only other post to date, I tried to describe that problem: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1988011/your-con... Very happy to receive suggestions and feedback if you, or others, have ideas. We're really enjoying gaming together again after all these years and I'm keen to find a solution for my group. Bren

Bren, what we need from your "superman" is a console log from right when he's seeing things he shouldn't. We'll need the whole log from beginning to end (it might be long). Something isn't happening correctly but it's hard to diagnose without talking to him direclty.
Hi Steve, Thank you. I'll gently sound them out about getting a log, but I'm not especially hopeful. They are definitely first and foremost about the role playing and not as keen to investigate or push the tech platform. In truth, I value you them as part of group even more because of that --- they add so much. I'll post again or you can contact me directly after our next gaming session (5th June)? Brenda
Post here if possible. If they do not know how to access their log, the instructions found here explain the steps to do so.
