Hello All, We're quite new to Roll20, so this is a quick sanity check before I submit a full account -- in case there's already an answer. My players in the US have reported that throughout the campaign so far, they've been able to see at least one corner of "a map with a cavern" during startup -- even when the player ribbon was on other maps. Looking back, I did in fact load a map with a cavern as my very first Roll20 activity, but our campaign activity has been on other maps. Last night we reached a part of the adventure based in the cavern and I switched the player ribbon to its map. "Yes! Yes!" He said, "that's the one I've been seeing a glimpse of every time we start up." So there's a base map, monster tokens on top, and an overall "fog of war" -- he could clearly see through the fog of war for at least a moment because he read the nameplate for a few monster tokens. So I'm convinced and there goes that surprise ... Is this something people are familiar with? Perhaps I made an error in my setup? I hope the description is enough to make it clear. My players are here for the role-playing and fundamentally do not enjoy the technology so it would be fairly difficult to walk them through getting screenshots. Appreciate your help and feedback.
