Your connection to the server has been interrupted! Issue

Hi, I had some connection problems last night with Roll20, but managed to get in the game and play. This morning when I thought to check Roll20 because I have a game later tonight and tomorrow night, I find that I keep getting the "Your connection to the server has been interrupted!" error message, and I'm not able to do anything. I completed the steps in the troubleshooting doc on the site, clearing my cache, making sure Chrome is update etc. and I have a log from one of the three campaigns that I'm frequent in: app.roll20.net/:9 Refused to execute inline script because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src 'self' 'unsafe-eval' https://*.googlesyndication.com https://*.doubleclick.net https://*.googlesyndication.com <a href="https://www.googletagservices.com" rel="nofollow">https://www.googletagservices.com</a> https://*.googlesyndication.com <a href="https://www.google-analytics.com" rel="nofollow">https://www.google-analytics.com</a> https://*.googlesyndication.com <a href="https://d3clqjduf2gvxg.cloudfront.net" rel="nofollow">https://d3clqjduf2gvxg.cloudfront.net</a> https://*.googlesyndication.com https://*.firebaseio.com https://*.googlesyndication.com https://*.opentok.com https://*.googlesyndication.com Either the 'unsafe-inline' keyword, a hash ('sha256-N4rT-GhE0K4LJ4zTB64Bkmk5xSsA8M7MPSk1qY82nAQ='), or a nonce ('nonce-...') is required to enable inline execution. app.js?1431956301:29 70 app.js?1431956301:29 TOUCH SUPPORTED: false app.js?1431956301:29 USING WEBGL ACCELERATION... app.js?1431956301:29 WEBGL STARTUP SUCCESS app.js?1431956301:24 select app.js?1431956301:24 Switch mode to select app.js?1431956301:39 Initializing new dice engine with randomness... app.js?1431956301:39 Using random entropy app.js?1431956301:42 Compiling sheet... app.js?1431956301:42 Found rolltemplate: aw app.js:42 Finding sheet rolls... jquery.min.js:2 Mixed Content: The page at '<a href="https://app.roll20.net/editor/" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/editor/</a>' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure font '<a href="http://imgsrv.roll20.net/?src=fonts.gstatic.com/s/specialelite/v5/9-wW4zu3WNoD5Fjka35Jm4kzzdU71mzyRvKBGWbyScU.woff" rel="nofollow">http://imgsrv.roll20.net/?src=fonts.gstatic.com/s/specialelite/v5/9-wW4zu3WNoD5Fjka35Jm4kzzdU71mzyRvKBGWbyScU.woff</a>'. UPDATE! For some reason, using exactly the same browser and changing nothing, but waiting an hour has caused it to suddenly work.
Hi -- you are certainly not the only one! My group is new to Roll20 so I thought I'd be "good" and try to search the materials available to find some good pointers for diagnosing, describing or -- best of all -- finding a fix for whatever is going on. Last night and also the previous Friday we experienced a variety of disconnects. We're transatlantic with a timeslot of about 4-6:30 pm Rocky Mtns and 11 -1:30 AM UK. About half of them had "Your connection to the server has been interrupted!" messages posted at our end or the other end. We are using the vid & voice function as well as the tabletop (at least, attempting to). Previously, we've had two Friday nights with very good results (i.e. no loss of connection or 1-2 losses over 2 hours, easily restored by refreshing ... which is effectively now our expected baseline for service). My gut hunch is that some were purely server side and other outages were at both ends, but that's very difficult to confirm -- no network admin tools here and very little of that skillset. I know our ADSL dropped us at least once as I just managed to catch a glimpse of the red light on it. I bumped up to mentor support -- not so much because I can act as one (ha!) as because I thought I'd have access to more support materials, but I'm a bit adrift folks and any help would be appreciated. Any pointers for which forum to use for help which materials to start with (beyond recommendations on Wiki re: optimisation, clearing cache, etc.) how to diagnose what's going on best mix of talk/vid options with tabletop Kind regards.
Hey Bren, I started here: <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues</a> Following that I just searched the Bug Report threads for those that had similar keywords, such as 'connection' and 'server', to see who was having similar issues. As just mentioned before your post, I'm currently able to access my campaigns again, though I dread that I might run into some issues very soon, and likely before my next game (which I GM).
Wow -- quick response and thank you for it. I actually have the Solving Technical Issues page open, even as we're typing. But I really appreciate the response as it helps make me feel I'd somewhat on the right track. I do genuinely feel at a loss on the "best mix of talk/vid options with tabletop" issue as I can't help but wonder if it's just too much for servers or just too much for our ADSL connections and how on earth one would go about assessing that. Will continue to search! Cheers.

Hi Folks, If anyone has good information on diagnosing or troubleshooting stability and connection (especially with the voice and video side), please sing out. [Edited to add a little potential help for others. I'm still looking for answers, but if you need to check the very basics, Grim Notoriety (above) points out a document on the Roll20 wiki and then I found another specifically on the audio/visual aspect: <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Solving_Technical_Issues</a> <a href="https://wiki.roll20.net/Audio_Visual_Troubleshooti" rel="nofollow">https://wiki.roll20.net/Audio_Visual_Troubleshooti</a>... Are you two still having connection issues or was that only during peak hours?
I haven't had any issues connecting since I posted. I've been able to enter each of my campaigns since Sunday.
Hi Steve, Thank you for checking in. I won't be in a position to test, or rather to give feedback from my players, until our next scheduled game, which is Friday 5th June. In our case, it's more stability and not being able to reconnect the voice and vid after loosing it. Would you like me to get in contact with you directly after that? Brenda
Just post here again if you still have stability issues after your game. Hopefully it has been resolved!
My campaign is having same kind of server issues. One of my players is running ping plotter and the packet loss is around 50% just before your server, which is cloudflare.equinix-am1.nl-ix.net (ip 193.239.117.114) . Then at the next step. which is your server, another 50% packet loss (198.41.207.48). So it seems the problem is more on your side of the internet.
I can't connect to my game, after restting my PC, clearing my cache, logging out and relogging in Roll20? I have no idea whats going on?
@Eric M and Kyllian F, Can you please follow Steps 1-3 of our Solving Technical Issues wiki page, taking special care to temporarily disable all browser add-ons and extensions, temporarily pause your anti-virus, and try switching browsers (for Chrome/Firefox specific issues) to see if one of those components is causing the problem. If all of that fails, please follow Step 4 , including providing all of the necessary information, so that we can further assist you.
Hi Ryan, We did step 1-3 already, me & my 3 players. I personally normally use Firefox but moved to my clean chrome install without extra extensions to test it there too, to no avail. We al did these 3 steps and still had problems, and as I stated before the problems with connections seemed server side. I cannot reproduce the issue now, it's seems to happen randomly. We play every Saturday at 8pm European time. And we've had this problem 3 times in the past 2 months. When the issue appears, all my players have the issue too, but the rest of the internet works fine (for my players too). So everything points to the server (especially with a total packet loss around 80%). Maybe it cannot handle the Saturday evening traffic? Just to make sure here is the rest of the information: Web Browse: Google Chrome Browser Version: 43.0.2357.81 Operating System: Windows 7 If Javascript is enabled: Yes Your anti-virus software: AVG internet security (paid version) List of any browser add-ons or extensions enabled: Apparently, I have the Adobe Acrobat extension but that is all. My players use different set-ups, but the same problem. Hopefully it doesn't appear again soon.

Hello Kyllian. I would recommend posting the console log if it happens again. This will let the devs see what might be happening.
