So after a year and a
half my Saturday game has finished and the group broken up. Months of
experimenting with new systems and ideas I have come upon a new-ish system and
an old idea.
The
system is Savage Worlds. I'm pulling from a lot of the different books but
there will be more exploring, talking, big scale action and fighting with a lot
less "murder hobos in dungeons."
It's a
fantasy setting with a twist. I won't do any spoiling on the twist since my
players are in the dark with it but I'm pulling from a lot of genres for this
one. It's less 'traditional' fantasy in the straight sense of elves, dwarves
and orks. The races are more alien and the cultures more distinctly different.
I'm happy to answer any questions about it but I'm still in the building
process (2-4 weeks pre-start) so I don't have a nice concise "this is what
the game is exactly," yet.
We've got
3 of 4 players for this group and now we're looking for a 4th.
What
we're looking for in a player:
1) Can
make our time slot 10am PST/GMT-8 (usually 2-4 hours of play)
2) Over
18 (This is a personal rule of mine, we've already got an exception so 18+ only)
3) Some
experience in roleplaying, we've got a group of mixed experience but not a lot
of old timers so I'm not sure how comfortable I am bringing in total newbies to
roleplaying. If you've got at least a year in any system, that's good enough
for me.
4) Easy
going. We're a pretty laid back group and don't need people who come in to
create drama or problems. We're all here to have fun (in fact that's rule #1
among us).
Other
things of note: 2 of our players are from the EU so there are no location
restrictions. As long as you're confident in your language skills (English
please), you're good to go.
