Inter-session bookkeeping notes

Unfortunately, due to houseguests, this weekend (the 21st) is right out. Is anyone available on the 28th?
I can make the 28th. And yes, I am feeling better. I'm sorry I had to drop out at the last minute.
I can make the 28th as well.
28th works for me.
I won't be available on the 28th, I'm moving into a new apartment that weekend and likely won't have internet hooked up just yet.
Will be here tonight.
When are we playing next?
This Saturday the 11th.
Just to confirm: We're on for this Saturday the 18th, assuming a sufficient number of people can make it.
I'll be there!
Pencil me in. :)
I won't be able to make it tonight, have fun and kick some butt yall.
Is yours okay? Jk, and I hope we get to see Natters more often. ;)
I have a question, if I use spark as a 3rd level spell with the cantrip mastery feat/talent, what will the stats for the spell be like? I was thinking: Firebolt Nearby or Far away spell Ranged Spell Daily Targets: 1d3 + 1 nearby enemies in a group or in a (rough) line Attack: Intelligence + Level vs. PD Hit: 7d8 Fire damage. Miss: Half damage.
I'll think about it, but my initial reaction is that looks okay for a 3rd-level spell slot.
A quick addition: In order to keep it from getting too bulky, I will be clearing the campaign's chat archive at the end of this week. If you want to save a copy, please go to the appropriate page before then.
I'd hope it looks okay, I basically copied the lightning spell, and simply changed it to fire. :P
We aren't playing tomorrow, correct?
Nope. Game starts again on the 30th. Next week.
Ah okay. I'll be getting home around starting time or so, just like those other times. I have a 1/month thing on saturdays. I'll try to make it as early as I can.
Sorry for not responding earlier -- I was away for the weekend. Yes, we are scheduled for this Saturday the 30th. If there's anything you'd like clarified, or anything you want to try, regarding the levels of the Horn of Abaddon you've already explored, please let me know.
Just a reminder that I will not be able to play tonight :(.
Would this Saturday, the 6th, be good for folks? The way my June is shaping up, it looks as if the 6th and the 20th will be the best days for the game.
That should work for me.
I can do the 6th.
Yep, both the 6th and the 20th should work fine for me.
Schools out for me, so I'm good. :)
I can definitely play both dates as well.
Are you folks up for this Saturday, the 18th?
Saturday, the 18th, works for me.
Works for me!
I can probably make the 18th. I may be a little late? I just moved to a new place cross country so there's a lot of stuff to get done.
Yeah will definitely be late tonight, if I make it at all.
Would folks be up for a game this Saturday, the 25th? I *am* trying to get back to a more regular every-two-weeks schedule...
Sorry for my lack of communication, I've been out of town visiting my brother. I'm going to a wedding this weekend and I won't be able to play. My schedule should be free and open for the rest of the summer after that.
I can do this Saturday
I'll definitely miss this weekend also.
Since Ryan and Alex can't make this weekend, maybe we should hold off till next weekend (August 1) so they don't miss out on two sessions in a row.
Both this Saturday and August 1 work fine for me, and I agree about holding off until August 1 so Alex and Ryan don't miss two in a row.
Unless I hear otherwise, I assume we're on for Saturday.
See you then!
Two items of note for Saturday's game: 1. For reaching the halfway point of the ritual to free Vetra-Kali, you may take an incremental advance. 2. This came up in discussion after the last game: I've been thinking about how we handle heal-ups. As you may know, the standard 13A rule is that you receive a full heal-up (all abilities, HP, and recoveries recharged) after four encounters, regardless of how much time passes between those encounters. You can take a heal-up before four encounters are completed, but you suffer a campaign loss in exchange (e.g. losing time, NPCs deserting, enemies gaining reinforcements, or such). I've generally been handwaving this, and it does seem a little silly to say you aren't recovering when there are weeks passing between each encounter. However, I've also noticed that it's getting more difficult for me to prepare challenging fights when people can just blow all their dailies at the start of each one. I haven't yet come to a conclusion on this, and it's possible the matter may fix itself when we're no longer on such an extended time scale. I just want you to be aware of my thoughts and that I may be moving to change things if I think it's making it overly hard for me to create good fights.
... and one further thing: While I've gotten some good submissions and made a selection, I don't think I'll be bringing in a new player tomorrow. Hopefully nothing too nasty shows up....
In case anyone has any questions, I will be away until Friday.
Something came up, and unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make it tonight. Many apologies!
I just read the end of the log of the last game. Darn! I was hoping the next game would be this week-end, because I'm chaperoning Homecoming on the 12th, so I'll have to miss another one. I'm still interested in playing, though! I shouldn't have any other commitments for awhile after that, since the next dance, as far as I can tell, isn't until prom, and I don't often have things come up on Saturdays (despite last week). I think it's cool that we're a party of mostly women :). In other news, it looks like I'm GM-ing a Dresden Files game for some high school students (in person). I'm not sure when it's starting (the other teacher involved keeps changing things on me), but I might have questions . . . Not sure if there's an off-topic place or something or if that's just not appropriate, though.
Sorry to hear you'll miss another session. This weekend is labor day, so I think that was why we're skipping it. If you're running Dresden Files and it's FATE, there's some good resources on the sidebar here: https://www.reddit.com/r/dresdenfilesrpg . I've run it before, so you can PM me if you have questions.
Yeah, I should have remembered that we've skipped other similar holidays. Unfortunately, I really can't get out of the Homecoming thing, since they're actually still short people to be chaperones. Thanks for the link! And I will definitely PM you questions since you've run it before (I already have a few!). I haven't actually run ANYTHING before, though, and it's been a long time since I've done in-person role-playing, so I'm nervous. I'm hoping the fact that I'm a teacher and they're students will make it easier, since the student-teacher role is similar to player-GM.
I've *read* a lot of Fate stuff but never run it, and have never seen DFRPG, so I can't help much. However, there's a pretty good Fate community on Google+ that should be able to help with questions. Also, I'm afraid Devon has not responded to a PM about why he's no-showed the last couple of sessions. I think we may have to scratch Tek off the player list as well.
Sorry I haven't been able to show up or even post. School started, I found bed bugs and had to completely renovate my room, my car is breaking down, my dad's in the hospital, and a few other things have been going on. GAH!! I'm back now though.
