Can't use color markers when going from GM display to token display

Players can't see marks, auras, or other token characteristics after I switch a token from GM layer to token layer. I wanted to ambush a party so I had all the enemies on GM display instead of token. After I transferred all the enemies onto the token layer, one of my targets was killed. When I went to put an "X" through them the players could not see it (but I could). I'm using googlechrome with Windows 7

Once you switch it from GM layer to token layer you need to move the token once. That will make it all reappear. - Gauss
