Aligning Grided Battle Maps to Roll20 grid

Ok, so I wanted to post this to https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/3688/map-alignment-and-you-or-101-ways-to-get-your-grids-in-a-row but this has already been closed. I have tried everything I can to align my map to the grid on roll20 but nothing works. I have tried following all the directions in the above mentioned thread but it still isn't working. I'm having the same issue as the person that posted here . When I try using the fine toning on an area that does not line up, it just causes the areas that were aligned to come out of alignment. Any ideas as to how I can make this work? Because, honestly, I'm at the point of just trying to photoshop the map and remove the gridlines that are already there and setting it to best fit.

Usually when you are having an issue getting grids to match up, it is because the grid that is on the map is not true. I find this to be the case for most of WOTC's maps. The rows and columns are not the same width. Where did you get your map?
I thought that might be the case. It is a WOTC map I scanned from my Princes of The Apocalypse campaign. I'll see if I can adjust the map in gimp to create true grids and the upload and see if that works. Thanks for the info. I'll update with progress when I can.

Ked'diel, you can always disable the grid and use the one supplied on the map itself. The measurement tool (and spacebar waypoint movement) would still work.

After some trial and error, I did find that as a usable option and went that route. Thanks guys for the info, I think thats what I'll do from here on out.
