Switching game days back to Tuesday only if it's okay with everyone. Please Reply with your availability for Mondays-Tuesdays going forward. Add to your calendar: TUESDAYS Nov 3, 10, 17, 24, usual start time 2:05PM Central USA. MONDAY Nov 2 is also a possibility, I plan to show up Monday in case anyone hasn't gotten the message about reverting to Tuesdays. Follow replies in this thread to find out if the switch is proceeding. Time converted for your Time Zone is listed on the campaign details main page. RSVP Regrets Only: Post here if you will be unable to attend, from week to week. NOTE: This week I'm asking each player to respond to availability survey. QUESTION: Can Every Player switch back to Tuesdays? Can everyone switch back to Tuesdays now? Jennifer pointed out that the Monday switch was meant to be temporary. For her switching back to Tuesdays is better but she can play this Monday Nov 2 (and/or Tuesday Nov 3).   For me Gold , Mondays or Tuesdays are both ok, in fact I would eventually like to start a Campaign on both days (same world, new 1st level characters, who could interact-affect your current characters timeline). Chris is OK with either day or possibly playing both Mondays and Tuesdays (unless his work schedule changes). Solid? Larry? Paul? Ryan? Please post ASAP with your opinion-availability for Mondays Vs. Tuesdays in November-going-forward. Also please say whether you can play on Monday Nov 2, or Tuesday Nov 3.   We seek to form a full-party unanimous consensus. PLAYER CHARACTER Mondays Ok or Mondays Only Tues Ok or Tues Only Chris Airen OK both (depending on job) OK both Solid Torvald Mondays better Tues..OK (family time) Larry   Horukh Mondays OK pending deadlines Tues OK pending deadlines Jennifer Mora Mondays OK (family time) Tuesdays better Paul   Swargen Mondays..better?? Tuesdays..OK to play? Ryan Sanvar ?? ?? Monday And-Or Tuesday in the 1st week of November I'm planning to show-up in the game on Monday and Tuesday this week (Nov 2-3).The results of this thread will determine which day is "the real session".  We want a strong near-full party to start the Shark adventure. We can play in Portlandio and assemble the troops if I've confused attendance with this switcharoo.
My life's simply deadlines, not strict hours.  So long as my stuff gets in on time, any day or night is cool.  Keep me updated!
I can play both Monday & Tuesdays... However, Monday is a little better as the wife is out of the house.

Excellent, fellows. It's going to be a planning session on Monday this week (optional), and moving the real game session to Tuesday starting this week, for now, going forward until further discussion. Paul is the main person I'm waiting to hear if he can go back to Tuesdays. Ryan is the other if he checks in. Solid , I hesitate to change away from your better day (Monday) but appreciate that you can accommodate the switch to Tuesday.  On the balance scales, being honest, one of the main reasons for Tuesday is for JG and her husband's time together on Mondays. So that evens out. She also said she can play both days. As can I, as can Larry , and Chris too. Playing BOTH days is an idea too, with intention of playing more compact hours on 1 day or the other (e.g. 2-3 hour session, either a Prep planning and discussion session for the main adventure, or running the new 1st Level party on the short day).   The main session day was originally meant to be 3-4 hours, but we regularly play far longer lately (6+), which has been awesome and fulfilling, and likely to continue. Chris , Paul , and Jennifer are all keen to linger end-of-session for XP rewards, treasure tallies, and banter. Proposal for BOTH days in the Winter-time, Mon-Tues Dec-Jan-Feb I'm looking to propose something like this (later, perhaps for December-January-Feb, the cold of winter): Mondays: 2-3-hour session, playing the new 1st level characters in the same world/timeline (They can become your main PC's henchmen or allies later).  Alternates to a Planning session for the current main PCs when we want to. Tuesdays: Full Length session with the current main PCs adventures continuing;  Alternates to playing the 1st Level party on this day when we want to. Tuesdays would be primary importance for attendance. For people who have said "BOTH", can you really play both, like 2 days per week (on normal weeks)? I understand some people would need to skip 1 day or the other on special occasions, like if it's a busy week at home or work.  I wouldn't want to get ourselves into a situation of having half attendance on most sessions and failing to reach our quorum of the Full Party.  That's why I would want to declare a "MAIN session day" (Primary importance for attendance to continue the main adventure, probably Tuesdays), and a "Secondary session day" (probably Mondays). Discussion? Thoughts? THIS WEEK: Monday 2 (Optional meeting), Tuesday 3 (Actual game session) Monday Nov 2 -- planning & discussion session. AGMA, Ask Game Master Anything. Character development, town building, bookkeeping, drawing, free walkarounds on past maps to see it without Dynamic Lighting walls blocking your views. Tuesday Nov 3 -- the real game session for this week. Trying to assemble full party for this date.

sorry, been busy with RL stuff, im available both days, not too worried atm which (or both). that may change for me, but not until the new semester starts and depending on when my classes fall. thats not until Jan tho :P so for now im good with tues main, monday secondary
Monday's are more preferable due to Tuesday being the only day my wife is off work. It is not a big deal as she knows this time period is my game time... Only thing is I would have to leave around 1800 hours. Additional, I may not be fully available November 17th as we will be celebrating our wedding anniversary.
Question: Is our main group playing today (Monday)? Or tomorrow (Tuesday)? Either is okay as I will be off on vacation.
Have fun on your anniversary!
Thanks Chris!  However, I do intend to sneak in as much D&D as I can...

For now let's make the pattern, Monday -- sub-session, planning, work on 1st level characters ("PC2"), any bookkeeping questions or prep towards Tuesday is also fitting. Tuesday -- main session, regular times, the usual hours, prefer to focus our full group attendance onto Tuesday if anyone can only attend 1 day or the other! I'll be ready to DM for today, for the Monday version, and I am psyched. I'm hoping for good attendance on Monday(s) but lesser importance. I don't want anyone in the group to feel time-crunch from playing 2 days per week, so we're emphasizing Tuesday.  On Tuesday this week, of course, it's directly back into the Shark Fort Island and starting immediately with high action. On Monday this week, since the 1st level adventure hasn't even started yet, still Character Creation phase, it wouldn't be any problem if some Players miss or come-and-go (the regular guideline applies, just let the group know if you need to miss or log off). I'll be working on "PC2" (new 1st level party) with all those who are in-game today. Eventually we will talk scheduling again and revise this as needed, but for now (November-December) it looks like I can usually do the Monday-Tuesday pattern.
I changed my schedule around and decided to drop playing on Tuesdays. It gets really crowded and loud at home during that time, so I'll just be here for the Monday sessions!

We're comparing Monday vs Tuesday for upcoming session days, and this time the demographic shifted to where 2 people prefer Mondays, 4 people can play both days. On Tuesday Nov 10 session (Shark Fort Island Invasion rolls on as-planned, your thief has snuck away somewhere), the Players present will determine if we should shift the Challengers Of Destiny higher-level party, main session day, back to MONDAYS going forward in order to continue with Mora the thief present in the party, or move forward with the Monday-Tuesday program that would put the new PC2 party of 1st Level adventuring on Monday (with Jennifer as Millicent the new High Elf Militant Wizard), and the Challengers main party on Tuesday (without Mora ). If we shift the main session back to Monday, that's cool, we can still occasionally play PC2 on the Monday. But the focus would remain on the current core party unit. If we don't shift, it's still cool as far as we can still play D&D with Jennifer , but just on the Monday session, so we will get rolling on dedicated PC2, 1st level party, going to that Mysterious Island adventure, or the Old Fort Adventure, on Mondays with expediency. Either way works for me, as of now in regards to November-December. We'll know for next week, after tomorrow, and I will update this thread + the Next Game Time setting in Roll20.
i personally think it all falls to Jennifer as far as which character she wants to play. that would be the biggest factor in which group we play on Mondays.
Yeah... Mora, at least, is gainfully employed. <grin>  So she could be an NPC, with her legit business.  Feels weird playing today without Mora though.  I guess she is turning off the Tractor Beam while we escape...

Mondays Announcement We are going to play Main Session on MONDAYS.  It will be the current party at first until we come to a pause-point after Shark Fort Island, then we will switch EPISODIC STYLE and play the new PC2: First Level Party on the regular main day, again until we find a stopping or intersecting point to go back to the original party, or merge them into a Hall of Challengers. Add to your game calendar: Monday November 16 Monday November 23 Monday November 30
Expect my absence on Monday. My husband's grandfather just passed away and the services may be that day or the following, but we have family visiting anyway. I might be able to hop in on Tuesday.

MsG, all our condolences at this time of MrG's grandfather's passing. Thank you for the heads up regarding Monday.   We will probably not have an official adventure session on Tuesday this week, however I can check-in Tuesday just to catch up with any Players on any story elements, bookkeeping, or new character questions.  Outline of Upcoming Adventures in our Homebrew World In-game status, agenda outlook.... Continuing-finishing sweep of Shark Fort Island this week, meeting a few more Sharky NPC's.  The following week's session, return to Portlandio, where the populace and local leaders want to award the Keys To The City, to the Challengers Of Destiny, for defeating the Sharkmen invasion threat. But will there be a DM twist??? After that (mid-December sessions) I plan to start the PC2 Party, new 1st level characters, and I'm already working ahead on preparing adventure maps and scenarios for that.  The new party will be faced with 2 module-adventure paths to choose which to begin. Either relates to orcish tie-ins, eventually yielding important clues. In the long-run (January-February) we will bounce back to the original Challengers of Destiny, have them meet the new PC2 party and converge with the new information before setting out on the 5th-6th-7th level adventures I have distantly planned in the Ota Sura lands, going against the Orcs in a totally different way, that will introduce some new rarely-before-seen gameplay modes. I'm personally rather excited for the whole future of all this. It's fun to DM-dream about, and impressive to see how far the campaign has come along in the time we've played so far. Actual measurable progress, storyline and character development.
Just a heads up... I will be in at my normal time Monday; around 1525 hours. I have some work stuff that requires me to be there instead of loafing off on vacation.
