There isn't a way to do it within Roll20 itself, however many users employ extensions like stylish or bookmarklets that allow them to tweak the CSS as they desire, I believe this can assist with relocating the avatar boxes but will only affect your view and not anyone elses (unless you get them to use the same extension and code...)
