Looking for group and Gamemaster for a D&D 5e game for beginners

Hello, a complete newbie looking to get some experience in tabletop gaming, and possibly have a great campaign. I'm entirely willing to go along with any type of campaign. My character will be a Green Dragonborn Wizard in the Necromancy school. He will be Chaotic Good. Backstory can be created and supplied on demand. Time is negitoable, Weekends are prefered, but until Feburary weekdays are also free. Amount of players and whether the game is text, voice or voice+video is up to the GM. Any character from any race or class will be accepted.

Yo. I'm a semi-experienced 5e player, and if at some point a group could coalesce, I'd like to put forward my Elven Ranger, Tiefling Cleric or Human Druid to join in! Weekends (Sundays especially are a preference for me). Potentially I could  be persuaded to DM, but I am already running a campaign for some friends of mine and would prefer to be a player in this game. Also I was gonna ask what timezone you're in (I'm in the UK, so GMT for me).

I'm also a newbie who has never played a full session, and am pretty flexible in regards to campaign or characters. I just want to have an lasting amazing adventure and get to know people and their characters. I hope this allows for equal parts roleplay as well as combat, and doesn't include Instant death. Thats something I'm nervious about. I was considering being a High Elven Bard. (if people in the group prefer against bards I could be something else. lol ) Edit: As for times I'm mostly available afternoons and nights of Est, although available most days of the week, as long as its not Thursday night, cause I'm a Critter and will be watching Critical Role once they start playing again. :)

Ah, I'm in Australia, I don't know how that corresponds to the different timezones. As i said, we can negotiate the times when we have a game going. I'm not biased against any class, so Bards, Druids, Rangers and Clerics are all equally welcome. I would point out however that Clerics are vital as healers, so if you feel like being a Cleric, please do. Wordsmith, i can see your point in the fact that being a player is often much more enjoyable than a watcher, so we won't pressure you into anything. I'm glad you have the same mindset as me Nikki, I just want to have a great game too. If either of you know anyone who would enjoy being Gamemaster, please invite them.

Hey I am also a complete newbie and i cant find a group to give me a chance because of the "hassle" to help along a fledgling player. I am in the States but I am very flexible with my time. I just want to be able to get into a campaign and experience the wonderful world of D&D. I have an idea for a Half-Orc Fighter and basically i just want to tank the hell out of the enemies haha. But i could also just as easily create a new character of any race and class for the campaign. I hope that you are able to get together a group and if you do please consider me. Im a very quick learner and can be quite creative at times.

I'll start looking at my players guide and see about building up a cleric if no one else joins as one. I don't mind taking up the role. :] I'm not sure about definite stats, a GM will have to help and approve me ofcourse when we get one, but I'll at least look into it.

Rohan, I'm Kiwi myself in nearby timezone. I'd be interested in joining a game as a fairly inexperienced player. (I've watched several D&D 3rd edition games but have never played myself.) If you find a GM you can mark me down as part of the group, I guess I've no preference on roles and will create a character as needed by the party. Hell, I'll roll the Cleric if you guys like. Let me know which version D&D you want to play and I'll go find them.

I believe that Australia has a time zone that would work out for me to atleast do a shorter campaign for new players to learn 5th edition... I am in central time so around 7pm or 8pm your time would be great for me. I am a DM and just figured I could help out a bit not sure how permanent it will be.

Anyone who wants to play should be welcome, but I won't be the GM, so whoever becomes the GM will have the power to choose. Both Jonah and KrackerJack are welcome to become GM.

I'm completely new to the table top idea. but I've got some great ideas in my head for a support fighter. small giant wielding dual hammers. I can roll to anything though really. 

If there are any spots still open for a campaign for new players, I would like to join as long as it is on the weekend.

Hey all, another player here. Somewhat new to 5e, but i've got the basics. Looking for a EST friendly game, schedule is otherwise flexible. I'd like to play a rogue.

By the way, Campaign will probably have to be text, not voice, since my microphone just got screwed over.
