Players cannot control tokens.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but we're having trouble with the players (myself included) being able to control the default tokens of our characters once they've been placed on the board. Currently, we are completely unable to select the tokens after they have been placed. EDIT: Do note that the GM has granted us control/edit access to our characters. EDIT2: To further clarify, this is the first time we have elected to make use of the Default Token function. In our other games, in which we simply had our tokens as our character avatars and placed those on the field, we are fully able to control the tokens. EDIT3: Well, since I'm a bloody arse who didn't read the big post labeled "Read First"... the above is basically the detailed description. Each token brought onto the board/map/whathaveyou cannot be selected by anyone but the GM. He has granted us control/edit access to them, so we think we should be able to do this - again, as a player, not the GM, I don't have the view he does. Setup for me is the latest version of Chrome, fairly fresh install. Not sure whether a screenshot of my mouse not changing to the select shape will give any additional info.

When you drag a character to the tabletop, if it has a default token set, a token is created that's a copy of the default token at the time it was set to be the default token . For example, if the token wasn't set to represent the character before being set as the default token, the token you get when you drag the character to the tabletop won't be linked to that character, and therefore won't inherit control permissions from the character. Have the GM double-check the token. Most likely, the token created isn't linked to the relevant character. Have the GM link the token to the character, delete the default token from the character, and re-set the token as default.

Alright, thanks! I've relayed the info to the GM - hopefully we can figure this out. EDIT: What do you mean by "Link the token to the relevant character"? That seems to be the step we're not getting. EDIT2: Never mind! We figured it out, and y'all can mark this as resolved. Or "users too thick to know what they were doing and needed to be pointed in the right direction." Either or works.

I'm glad you're back in business, Da5id! I'll mark this 'Resolved'.  (If it makes you feel better, when I first started playing I didn't realize API scripts had to be installed for me to use them.  We all have our learning curves ;) )
