Interest For Star Wars FFG

I am really missing out on my Star Wars Rpg fix. To be honest, my schedule is pretty hectic, but I am hoping to be able to get a consistent 2 game sessions per month. I am open to any of the three base games or an amalgamation of the three. I can play or GM based on what everyone else would like to do. As far as scheduling goes, I am hoping for a schedule as we go approach. Alternating between free saturdays as well as later (after 9:30 central standard time) weekday sessions.
I just got the Force and Destiny book here, and my Saturdays are wide open. Feel free to give a yell if you need somebody. And if you don't mind that I'll be learning as we go. ;-)
I would love to play and I'm free most Saturdays. I also wouldn't mind handing GMing duties once I have some more play time under mu belt.
Ok great. Here is kinda what I am thinking as far as timing and game. I am thinking that we will shoot for two saturdays a month knowing that there will times where we can't pull that off. When we can't, we use the late weekly time (the 9:30 central time) as make up. As far as game, I am thinking of a little bit of a cross between edge of the empire and force and destiny. No matter what class is taken, the character will receive a for rating of one. We will use both the obligation and morality mechanics.
That works for me. Character-wise, I had the beginning of an idea for a Force-sensitive pilot a little while ago. I think F&D actually has a specific class for that--will check the book later...
I'd be intrested in the game as a player!
Ok so it looks like we have Daniel, Teko, and Ryldor as players. I already have one more player committed so that makes 4. I would be willing to run for one more player.
Works for me--I think five PCs is pretty much the sweet spot for most games. Also, I just PMed you the backstory chunks I'd already come up with, Chris.
I'm up to join you as a PC! I'm a rookie to the game but have all the EotE books and the rules for AoR and F&D, plus a few supplements. Longtime Star Wars fan and I love to improv/write origin stories. Let me know if you want some character pitches?
Cool! I'm thinking either Artisan from F&D or a force-sensistive technician from EotE, whichever is more setting appropriate.
Here is a little foundation to work off of as far as characters go. This will be set in the Dark Times slightly prior to the events of A New Hope. Your characters should all be somewhere between 18-23 years old. Each character's earliest memories should be that of being an orphan (where is up to you) and having to learn how to survive (how is up to you). You could be adopted by an imperial warlord, survived on the street, or really anything in between. Without spoiling too much, you will each have had some ties to the jedi order pre-order 66 but have 0 recollection character-wise of that time due to being so young when Order 66 happened. How you survived the fall of the jedi will be a small story point for the campaign ( though not necessarily some earth shattering twist).
Oh. Well, that'll change a certain significant chunk of the stuff I PMed you, I guess. As for the rest of it, I think Lyra has to be around 22-23 for that to make sense.
I think most of what you have will work. A couple of little tweaks and your character will fit right in. As far as building a character, each character should have both morality as well as obligation. With that being said, I would prefer it if you kept from using morality to get extra perks as per the standard creation, and instead use obligation to do all of extra purchasing of xp or the like. With that being said, I would caution everyone from purchasing credits for equipment due to the nature of how I plan to start the campaign.
Would everyone be available to get together around 12:30pm central time on Saturday? That give us a chance to meet and get characters introduced. If we can get all that set, we may go ahead and even have short first session.
I should be free then. If we're doing a "session zero" to go through character creation together, great--I've never done it before, and wouldn't mind the help. Speaking of which, do we have a campaign page? ;-)
I will have the campaign page open sometime this morning. Daniel you are the only one who has responded. Hopefully everyone else will let me know if they can make it or not.
If you ever get any more room, i would love to fill in a spot!
Larry, could you meet at 12:30 Central. I am pretty sure at least one of our members is going to fall off, so I will  go ahead and plan on adding you.
I think I missed your time but I'll be avaiable all day if you need me.
No worries. We will try and get you in on our next session.  We haven't scheduled it yet, but I believe it will be next week. As far as character creation goes, do you have any questions? Do you have much experience with this system?
Chris, do you want fully detailed characters with attributes, skills, talents, etc? Or just backstories?
Both would be great. There isn't necessarily any rush. Monday we will start talking about setting the next meeting/session so we have some time.
I've played once before so I could use a once over with the system. I'll be around Monday.
