Looking for Good Storytellers [D&D 5e]

I have a party that's started a campaign and is looking to add some new characters to our adventure. The adventure is set in a modified Forgotten Realms, but our character backstories play a big role in the world's creation. This is why we want good storytellers with interesting characters to help enrich that world. You don't need any D&D experience, but a 5th edition player's handbook is necessary. You also need a microphone for roleplaying, and be available around 1pm EST once a week, as we come from many different time zones. You can play any type of character within the player's handbook or other official D&D material. We're not looking for powerful min/max-ers or even party balance; just something interesting and 'believable' that will keep the story entertaining during a long campaign. If you're interested, reply with some information about your character. You can make up as many characters and places for their backstory, keeping in mind this is a medieval fantasy setting. What is their Race? Class? Background? How did they become that class and that background? What are their personality, ideals, bonds, and flaws (you don't have to use the book's suggestions). What is their alignment mostly? What specialization for their class are they (going into)?
Hi, I'm a new player who would be very interested in joining this game. Just so I don't waste your time I'll say up front - I can easily make 1pm EST, but I wouldn't be able to play on a Saturday, so if that's the day you play then never mind! The character I have in mind is a Half-Elf Rogue, with the criminal background. Specifically Hired Killer, though more bounty hunter than strictly an assassin. He would be mostly Lawful Neutral (I figured Lawful since he follows a code, though obviously not Lawful in a literal sense.) Since I'm new I used the Handbook to guide me with traits, ideals etc. He is slow to trust, yet honourable towards other criminals. Obsessed with the memory of the death of a loved one and obsessed also with stealing valuable items. I think I would end up going with the Assassin specialisation. This is a brief overview I have typed up. (I have also written a longer full background.) "Sylben, along with his younger brother Corovar, was trained as a thief and assassin by his surrogate father, the Half-Orc Sobek. He formerly belonged to an organisation of criminals called the Skaz. He is still part of the organisation, but no longer owned by them. When he became an adult and paid off his debt to the Skaz he became a bounty hunter, part of a team with his brother. One particular contract led to disaster, as the murderer Shilo brutally killed Corovar. Sylben blames himself, with good reason. He wants nothing more than vengeance and to never again allow someone he cares for to be hurt because of his negligence. Sylben is an opportunist and certainly couldn’t be called ‘good.’ That said, he does operate under the strict code of the Skaz and believes himself to be an honourable man. He is a damn good liar and, at times, a ruthless killer."
