Help with Connecting to game. Proxy problem?

I've been using roll20 for some time without a hitch. But, I recently moved into a college dorm. Now, when I try to "Join Game" the map never fully loads and I remain unconnected to the game. But the rest of the roll20 site loads fine. I suspect that the campus proxy filter is the cause of my problem. It operates much like a workplace filter, but less so. It usually allows gaming, but blocks things like torrents. Does the game map/chat use other ports than regular web-browsing? If it is the proxy, how might i bypass it? (besides talking to IT) The only thing is, my DM lived on the same campus last spring and he was able to launch and join roll20 games. So it might not be the proxy. So what else might be my problem?

Hmmm...it does use WebSockets, but those typically aren't blocked. If you wouldn't mind, could you test it in Chrome? And if it's not working in Chrome, open up the Chrome Dev Tools and give us a screenshot of the Network tab, you should see some errors on there. Here's how to open it: https://developers.google.com/chrome-developer-tools/

doesn't work in Chrome. This is what the Network tab is like. It just keeps trying to connect and it keeps failing. Yeah the proxy blocks roll20-10.firebaseio.com. Not sure why
