Since the Campaign Discussion is difficult to use and there is really no issue with continuing to discuss things here I see no problem with continuing to discuss things here. However, if this is in some way impacting you perhaps you can explain how it is a problem and I can see what can be done to correct it. Thanks for the comment Ajax. :) - Gauss
heres a cleric setup i made not shure if its any good <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=489462" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=489462</a>

Ability scores: 2points short. I would suggest increasing intelligence to 10. Hitpoints are incorrect. Clerics get d8 hitpoints. At first level that is 8+1con = 9. Feats: You cannot select Power Attack at level 1. It requires a +1 Base Attack bonus. Spell Penetration is not that valuable at level 1. You will not start facing creates with SR until at least level 5. If you are going for a battle-spellcasting mix, I suggest Combat Casting. You will need it. You could also go for the Heavy armor feat and then reduce your dexterity to 12. That will give you points to spend elsewhere. I would suggest the following changes to your equipment: Add Scale Mail, dagger, mug, and wooden holy symbol. Subtract the Hide Armor, Waterskin, Silver holy Symbol, Spell Component Pouch, and 2 torches. Maybe subtract the Lamp, Oil, and whetstone. Rationale: You do not need a silver holy symbol. It is a waste of money at this point. If you memorize Create Water you can get away with a mug (heck, a teacup works) You need a small weapon like a Dagger in case of being grappled. You do not need a spell component pouch. Clerics never have minor spell components. Either it is a major component (which a spell component pouch does not cover) or it is a Divine Focus. You do not need so many torches, that is what the light spell is for. Only in case of needing actual fire do you need a torch. You also do not need a Lamp and oil with the light spell unless you need a light while you sleep. A Whetstone only has a small mechanical effect. If you spend a lot of time sharpening your sword it gives you a +1 bonus to damage the first time it hits. Otherwise, it is a waste. Skill points: Due to your intelligence you do not have 4 skill points. You only have 2. 1 for cleric and 1 for human. If you spend your favored class point on skill then you will have 3. I suggest increasing your intelligence if you want more skill points. Suggested skill choices (no particular order): Bluff, Diplomacy, Knowledge Religion, Perception, Sense Motive, Spellcraft. Suggested spell choices for your current level: Zero (choose 3): Create Water, Detect Magic, Guidance (VERY useful), and Light. If someone else has Detect Magic, don't take it. First level: Bless and Protection from Evil. First level Domain spell: Endure Elements of Magic Weapon (choose Magic Weapon). You do NOT need to memorize Cure Light Wounds. You can drop a first level spell and cast it spontaneously. A cleric can only do this with Cure spells. Example: You have Bless and PFE memorized. You get injured, you sacrifice Bless and cast Cure Light Wounds instead. Your spell save section is not filled out. It should read: Zero level: Save DC 13, Spells per day 3 First level: Save DC14, spells per day 1+D, Bonus spells 1 - Gauss
thanks for the tips um kept the spell compound pouch for the fireflys and the occasional requirement needed for spells candles was a brainfart of mine i forgot i didnt go into animal domain and couldnt summon animals and think ill just keep the dex instead of investing into heavy armor and finaly i got rid of the torches cause ill just use the flint and steel for fire um 3 questions what should my second feat be other then combat casting is their any difference between a wood or silver holy symbol and finaly how does the dagger work in grapple ex i have longsword out and someone trys to grapple me

Ok, what spell does a cleric have that needs 'fireflies'? If you say 'light' you are incorrect. A cleric does not need a firefly to cast light. Any divine spellcaster does not need material components that are listed like this: M/DF. That means Material OR Divine Focus. If you have a Divine Focus (ie, you are a divine spellcaster) you do not need most material components. The main Material spell component clerics need is silver. Silver is too expensive to be in a Spell component pouch. Other components: Holy Water, Onyx, Diamonds..etc. All too expensive to be included in the spell component pouch. Divine spellcasters do not need a spell component pouch. You should not get rid of all of the torches. You never know when you will need a torch as a weapon. In fact, buy a tindertwig so you can light the torch quickly. Flint and Steel takes too long in combat. You should probably do the same thing for your current character. Wood and Silver holy symbols have some minor 'just in case' uses. Example: A Silver holy symbol could be ground up and used as silver powder. It could also be used as an improvised silver weapon. Beyond that, it is just a social status symbol. A longsword cannot be used while grappling. Only light weapons can be used. Dagger is a light weapon. Always have at least 1 light weapon. - Gauss
y would light not need it? when i looked in component it said it needed a material and listed fireflys
and i just wiped out my fixes twice forgetting to save -.-
oh ok i thought tindertwig gets used up after its used

If I were building a battlecleric (without using craft magic item feats) I would build it along these lines: Human, follower of Iomedae Domains: War (subdomain Tactics), Glory (subdomain Heroism) Str15+2(human), Dex12, Con14, Int12, Wis14, Cha10 Feats: 1) Toughness 1) Combat Casting 3) Heavy Armor 5) Power Attack or Weapon Focus 7) Weapon Focus or Power Attack 9) Whatever...lol Skills: Heal, Knowledge Religion, Perception, Spellcraft Favored Class: Hitpoints all the way. Favored spells in the long run: Shield of Faith, Divine Favor/Power, Bless/Heroism/Heroism Greater, Spiritual Ally (give yourself flank bonuses), Magic Vestment, Greater Magic Weapon, Righteous Might By level 9 combat with my battlecleric would go like this: * Daily spells: Magic Vestment on armor and shield, Greater Magic Weapon on weapon. * Initative: Roll twice due to my Seize the Initative power. * Surprise round: Divine Favor as a quickened spell (using a Rod of Quicken bought using money I saved from using Magic Vestment and Greater Magic Weapon). Then cast Righteous Might. * Round 1: Start killing crap with a +3bonus to attack and damage from Divine Favor and a +1bonus to attack and an average of +4.5 damage from Righteous Might. If I want, boost myself (and my allies) as a swift action with the Heroism Domain power for another +2morale bonus to attack. Total attack bonuses in combat? +6BAB, +4str (not including magic items/spells), +2attack (magic weapon), +3attack (divine power), +1attack (righteous might), +2attack (heroism) = +18/+13 Total damage bonuses in combat? 1d8 upgraded to 2d6+6str (not including magic items but including righteous might)+2(magic weapon)+3(divine power) = 2d6+11 If using Power attack that becomes +16/+11 and 2d6+15 Can I outdamage a fighter? Probably not. But I can come close and I still have spells left. I can still heal, choose many feats on the fly (War Domain), and kick butt right next to MR Fighter. This is a Battlecleric.
oh well im calling it in

Since you wont believe me: <a href="http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/magic.html" rel="nofollow">http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/magic.html</a> "If the Components line includes F/DF or M/DF, the arcane version of the spell has a focus component or a material component (the abbreviation before the slash) and the divine version has a divine focus component (the abbreviation after the slash)." Clerics do NOT need Spell Component Pouches. Oh, and Tindertwigs are used up when you use them. But do you want to be spending a full round action trying to light your torch with flint and steel in the middle of combat? Neither do I. How long it takes to light a torch with flint and steel: Round 1: Move action to retrieve torch. Move action to retrieve Flint and Steel. Round 2: Light torch (full round action). Round 3: Drop Flint and steel (free action) and now you may attack. How long it takes to light a torch with Tindertwig: Round 1: Move action to retrieve torch (with tindertwig stuck in torch). Standard action to light it. Round 2: Attack with torch. A full round faster, and you dont drop your flint and steel.
wow great timing your review came out as i said that but damn that is alot of damage stackign

You still have a favored class point to assign (HP or skill point). Clerics get 140gp. Yes it is a lot of damage. And the cleric can pull that off at least twice a day. Oh, and Righteous Might boosts the cleric's Con by +4. That means another 18hps at level 9. In lesser fights the cleric wont have Righteous Might but he will still pump out respectable damage. Battleclerics rock. Thing is, charisma seems the place to put ability scores? It isnt. Not unless you are making an Anti-undead Cleric. If you do that, make sure it is the right campaign for it. Probably go with a spellcasting cleric at that. Not a battlecleric. If you want I can show you THAT version sometime. It is just as scary, for different reasons.
I see pathfinder hasn't quite gotten rid of Codzilla. They seem to have given pure melee nice things too though, and I haven't seen the equivalent to nightsticks yet. will have to remember I can wait out buffs that expire instead of assuming clerics were using persistent spell like I did with my dm in 3.5.

CoDzilla is gone. In it's place is a cleric that can ALMOST match a fighter. I can show you why the fighter kicks the battlecleric's butt sometime. But here is the quick and dirty version (not optimized): Level 9 human fighter: Str15+2, Dex14, Con14, Int12, Wis12, Cha9 Feats: 1) Exotic Weapon (Bastard Sword or something else) 1) Weapon Focus 1) Power Attack 2) Cleave 3) Toughness 4) Weapon Specialization 5) Iron Will 6) Lunge 7) ....whatever 8) Gr. Weapon Focus 9) Improved Critical Attack bonus: +9/+4BAB, +4str, +2feats, +2magic weapon +2weapon training -3 power attack = +16/+11 Damage: 1d10+ 4str, +2magic, +2weapon specialization, +2 weapon training+ 6 Power attack = 1d10+16 Does not include the potion of Enlarge person the fighter drinks in the surprise round, does not include the heroism the battlecleric is using on the party, does not include magic item strength boosters. Did I mention Cleric comes close but doesnt actually match the fighter? Oh, and the Fighter has a higher AC and full speed too due to Armor Training. - Gauss
Oh, I see the benefits of going fighter since 3.5, that came across incorrectly, I meant it more in that they did not completely destroy clerics. Some of the houserules I have seen go completely overboard and remove the benefits of the cleric entirely instead of leaving their superiority in certain areas intact.
um small prob i have to go to a dinner around halfway through the session can someone take my place when i go?

Clerics CAN be battleclerics and CAN come close to what fighters can do. A number of times per day (the build above can do it twice a day, maybe 3 times). Personally, I would play a spell cleric over a battlecleric. Much more useful to debuff the BBEG with a single spell (Major Curse, Will DC21) and still be 'helpful' in lesser fights. - Gauss

Discuss it with your group mates. The options are: I can NPC it, one of your groupmates can NPC it, or we can pretend you arent there for the duration. Personally, I prefer the latter option at this point. - Gauss
i dont want to ruin it for anyone so i was wondering if anyone wanted to use my guy when i leave
how long do you think it will run gauss? If it is long enough that him going to dinner won't have a significant effect he could just drop out for a couple encounters and jump back in without too much disruption.
um tailspin is gonna take control of my character after i leave
its suppose to be about 4-6 hours if i recall im gonna drop out around 2-3 hours into the session for dinner
35min before we start :D
20 min till showtime i recommend getting on early

That much silver dust is used for pretty much two spells. Bless/Curse Water and Consecrate/Desecrate. - Gauss
Do you guys still have room for another player? forgive me 12 pages of posts is a bit much to read through to try and figure that out. I've got a few character concepts I'd love to test out, and would love to join in the fun if possible. Looked like you decided on friday night, earlier but saturday works for me too if you changed things around. message me here or you can email <a href="mailto:rich_pantherfan@hotmail.com" rel="nofollow">rich_pantherfan@hotmail.com</a> with game details if You can spare a spot!
sorry, we have already been running a scenario, and most of the comments have been helping people with character creation. Thank you for the offer though

Flame and Miles, please check your character sheet Journals. I left messages for you there. - Gauss
If I have a warning of at least a day I can do the first, the only days that would be definitively problematic would be the thirty-first, the sixth, and the eighth.
I can play the 31st, 4th and 5th. I can play on either the 1st or 3rd, but not both. I'm not entirely sure about any of the dates but if something comes up I'll tell you.

Restating my availability: 31st, 1st (after 8pm EST, maybe sooner), 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 10th. Note: After the 10th my availability drops considerably but I am willing to do 1 day a week to finish. It should take 2-4 more sessions to complete this module. After the 13th I can do Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. But only long enough to complete this and I need advance warning for Tuesdays. - Gauss
i'm cool anytime, but after the 2nd i'll have to end on about 11:00 EST (still a decent session) unless it's a Friday.
perhaps plan for the 1st, 4th, and 5th then? That would get Tailspin two full sessions and doesn't seem to have any conflicts so far, although I am not sure of dramokh's schedule I believe flame was hit or miss all week and was planning on letting someone else run him if he couldn't make it.
