noob lookking for a dm for pathfinder

I posted my comments regarding Tailspin's druid earlier. He needs to decide if he is going for a martial druid or spell druid. Then if a spell druid he needs to decide if he is a summoner druid or control druid or both. I personally suggest a martial druid build as being easier and more fun for what we are doing.

man palidan is hard to level into a prestige class oh well i like palidans *history fan here

Prestige classes are not really a good idea anymore. They are a relic of 3.5. Pathfinder rewards single classes.

well I'm off, but I will check back in the morning in case you have any advice. If you would like me to change out the archetypes I can, it was really just a flavor thing at this point.

Oh, I forgot, you guys need to select your Favored Class bonus. You get a +1 in either HPs or you get an extra skill point. You get this for each level of your favored class. Note: the choice is made each time you level. So you can choose HP for level 1 and Skill point for level 2.

i think we might of got this reversed... palidans are melee and need health and dryads are spellcasters and need skillpoints like spellcraft and knowledge

besides i got my human trait so ill get one every level anyways

I suggest HP for you, you are the tank. You will need hps. You do not have large heal skills. The Human skill trait is NOT the same thing as the Favored Class bonus. There is no class called Dryad in Pathfinder. Druids may not be what you think they are. They are a mix of martial and spellcaster. Druids (and clerics for that matter) can go either route. I suggest he goes the martial route. It will be somewhat easier. Will he be as good as a paladin initially? Nope. Will he be more versatile eventually? Yup. Hard to argue with a person when they can turn into just about any animal, elemental, or plant and beat the crap out of you. Even a paladin has a hard time against that. Flame, I already did post my view on his character back on page 4 or 5. I gave him several options. Martial, Battlefield control, Summoner. These are the three routes for a druid. Which does he want?

BTW, I will be up for another hour at least. I am working on the magus.

XD well i had to get rid of lightning reflex and ironwill i was origionaly going for the war of attrition style make it realy hard for them to hit you and decent heal skills for when you get hit and the longsword with morningstar is a good variety of damage slash pierce and bludgen though how you can call swining a spiked metal ball of pain at someones face bludgening is beyond me

mgdielman: Ability Scores: correct HPs correct Saves: correct Weapon: No ranged weapon Feats: Scimitars cannot be used with Weapon Finesse. I would suggest you choose a different weapon that can be used with Weapon Finesse. Skills: You cannot take any ranks in Fly until you have a reliable means of flying (ie: at least 1/day). Also, why did you take a rank in Profession? It has very little mechanical value. Spells: Your spells per day for level 1 is 0. Your bonus spells is 1. It amounts to the same thing. Otherwise, looks good.

Flame: Lightning Reflex and Iron Will do not cover melee combat. They relate to saving throws which are used against spells and other special abilities. Paladins have no problem making most saving throws because at level 2 they add their charisma bonus to their saves. War of attrition in Pathfinder will get you killed. You cannot possibly heal enough damage to keep up. Hurt the enemy hard and fast before they hurt you is the way this game works. :) You should still get a ranged weapon such as a Light Crossbow. If you do not have a ranged weapon you will not like the result. The bad guys can and will stay at range and shoot you to death.

Flame: LOL yes, I missed that you too had taken Profession. Adventurer's profession is just that, adventuring. Also, you need to update your hitpoints. You should have d10 (max at first level = 10)+con modifier+favored class = 10+2+1 = 13.

I think you dont understand: Paladin is built for AC. He doesn't do much damage. While the Paladin spends his time fighting one bad guy the bad guys' buddies kill the paladin's buddies. Then the paladin dies. Now, build a Paladin for damage, the first bad guy goes down fast, so does the second. Suddenly there are fewer bad guys and your party lives. Want to use healing to keep allies alive? Healing vs damage: Healing loses. While you or the cleric is healing the damage is coming in faster than you can keep up. This game is about dealing damage and avoiding damage through tactics and strategies. Healing damage in combat only slows the bloodloss, it doesn't stop it. Summary: build for damage without missing out on AC too much. If you build for AC you will miss out on damage and either you, or someone else will die.

Religion is good, that is how you identify undead.

oh you should of seen the one we did when our friends introduced us to the game one of our friends was a wizard necromancer and when we got to a cave with 2 dragons his idea was to jump on the dragons and also on the way to get their we got attacked by zombies he just walked away and walked away again when we got ambushed by wolfs

oh yeah when we where fighting a large bear he tried to kick one of us into the bear to save himself lol after the battle we each punched him and one of us (half-orc) took the bear head and slamed it over his head
