Macros clutter and character sheet solution

This is a 2 parter. One is what I do, the other is the idea. I find it useful using macros within macros. So I set some macros without equations and just a value instead. Then I make a Macros using the other valued ones. Then I make a macro called #stealth. #stealth would be set out like, /roll 1d20+#dexmod+#Trained+#Halflevel+you get it. This way when I level up to an even number level and change Halflevel, I can still use any of my #skill check macros and they've all been updated. Thing is it clutters up my Macros. I was thinking of having a "Placeholder" set of values which macros can use and can be organized. People always go on about "Character sheets". Why not have a page of customizable placeholders that macros can use so when a player wants to use an attack or skill. They just make a macro with all the placeholders from the sheet needed to calculate the attack or skill. then they never have to re-write a macro, just update their sheet and tada.
This is pretty close to what's coming for Character Sheets. <a href="http://blog.roll20.net/post/34768996259/today-character-data-went-live-on-the-roll20" rel="nofollow">http://blog.roll20.net/post/34768996259/today-character-data-went-live-on-the-roll20</a>
Looks like the team is one step ahead of me. Good to know.
