Token Grouping Problems

So I have Tank Chassis Tokens and I have Tank Turret Tokens. When I add Turret to Chassis and "group" them its generally works fine but on the not too uncommon occasion I will grab a "grouped" set of tokens to drag it acoss the VTT and lo and behold I am now tearing the turret off of my tank. When I go to re-select the turret and put it back n the chassis it then picks up both tokens as if they were still grouped and moves them together but not overlapping as they were whenI grouped them initially. So I have to then "ungroup" them, realighn them, and re"group". What am I missing here?

Known "issue"... since like forever. Devs haven't done anything about it.

This occurs when: A Token Group is not selected (no blue outline with handles around the grouped Tokens), and A Token within that Group is selected with the left mouse button and moved without releasing the left mouse button. This behaviour can be avoided by selecting the Token Group (or a Token within the Group), releasing the left mouse button, and then moving the Token Group (or a Token within the Group) normally.

Silvyre...... Perhaps I am missing something. Is this a programming limitation that forces this situation or was it intentional? I am admittedly new to this venue but I cannot see a point in this being deliberate as it seems to undermine the entire point of "grouping".

Grouping doesn't work very well at all... especially since selecting the grouped tokens doesn't pop up token bars or the status icon buttons. You have to hold the alt key when you select the token to pop up those on the top most token in the grouped stack.

Is there any way to get the Ruler to display a readable indicator while Zoomed out? Also is there a way to use the Ruler and when have it stick to the Map once you "lay it down"?

Nope to both. You can measure as you move though by hitting the spacebar after picking up a token.
