Out of Band Play

I'd like to be able to use roll20 to facilitate a game where the players don't need to show up at an appointed time, instead as people take turns the result of their turn is emailed out to the players and the next player is notified that it is his turn, etc; sort of a play by email meets VTT. My group is a bunch of guys with small children, etc, so this could style would be perfect for our lives. Is it feasible to do this via the API 9specifically, send emails) or is this perhaps a feature that could be added?
This is not possible yet. There has been talk of a REST API that could allow hooks for certain things but no feature set on that has been released yet.

It doesn't send out emails, but each campaign has its own mini-forum that you could make posts in, and you don't need every player present in order to move your token(s) around on the map in the VTT. The chat archive is also saved regardless of other players' presence, although you may have to visit the chat archive page (linked from the campaign info page) in order to see it, instead of looking at the chat on the VTT.

What you can do is have your group set their email notices (found here:&nbsp; <a href="https://app.roll20.net/account/" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/account/</a> ) to 'Immediately for every notification' and then post in the campaign forum or group PM when your turn is complete. Everyone will get an email notice to the email on record with Roll20.&nbsp; - Gauss

I would also be possible to send GET messages out using /direct and a link, something like: sendChat("Riley", "/direct &lt;a href='<a href="http://mysite.com/?char=Alex&amp;turn=20'&gt;End" rel="nofollow">http://mysite.com/?char=Alex&amp;turn=20'&gt;End</a> Turn&lt;/a&gt;"); then doing something via an external site.
