Intro: Howdy Folks, My names Aaron im 35 and have been playing/running D&D off and on for the last 20 years or so. Took a long unfortunate break during my 10 year stint in the U.S. Cavalry till i was blown up and had some free time on my hands I will admit im a little rusty on certain rules but i imagine its just like riding a bike and most of the time the players know almost every rule about their character :-). Love running home brew campaigns but pretty new to Roll20. This seems like a fantastic platform to tell a story with. My campaigns are generally 50/50 RP/Combat so if your a hack and slasher I may not be the best choice to run your campaign. Though some of my rules may be a little more strict than your average campaign I always shoot for an adventure filled well thought out campaign that's sure to leave the hair standing up on your neck. If it were a perfect world I would ask that all my players be 18+ years of age and that once we commit on a particular day to game everyone shows up and shows up on time (EDIT: DAY SELECTED IS WEDNESDAY 7PM EST-?). I would like a group of 4 to 5 players, will make exceptions under special circumstances:-) we will use ROLL20 chat for voice coms, can use teamspeak 3 if all players prefer while gaming a working headset is required. If you respond to my add please put down the days and time that would best work for you (EST) so i can find a agreeable time and assemble our party. personally I am looking to play 1 day a week but could manage 2 if required. We will be using obsidian portal to track full character sheets (I have a subscription so all players have access to full tool box) MY Rules: Standard Races: Human, Elf(No Drow), 1/2 Elf, Dwarf, & 1/2 Orc. Gnomes and halfings are O.K. however they do not play a major part in this world. Want to be a pixie? go find another campaign :-)~ Classes : Would prefer any of the basics but will work with you if you have your heart set on something. If it involved the word dragon forget about it Dragons are myth and legend. OR are they? For the love of Gary Gygax please no Lawful Good characters, I try to be unbiased, i really do.... but when a goodie 2 shoes starts meddling around i see fireballs.. What Erk's the DM: Answer: MIN MAXERS! I know everyone wants to have the most powerful character they can but this is absolutely unnecessary. You will grow into what you were meant to be, flaws make a character memorable. I would rather you play a character that you can really get into and more importantly one that those around you enjoy playing with. Campaign Setting : This setting provides dozens of sprawling nations, opulent cities, vivid characters, political intrigue, guilds and secret societies to keep even the most experienced role players on their toes. Currencies, language, religion, technology, crafts, guilds, foods, governments, legends and much more are "seeded" with potential plots and adventure hooks. Dozens of races share the world, . Learn how the saurians dispose of their dead or how the Borrellian clans survive the harsh winters of the northern peninsula. Dance at a grumman festival, sail the high seas with a Mercian pirate, shop the bazaars of Drakkel or hunt the legendary torgat with a Normidian lord. Come explore the World. The Physical World: much like Earth. It is a small, life filled world adrift in the vastness of space. It has wide blue oceans, snow capped mountains, islands, forests, deserts and lakes. It has four seasons, two tides and other familiar patterns of weather, time and nature. But cataclysmic forces have reshaped this world. Whole continents have been reforged, forests have burned up, rivers have changed course and mountains have risen. The world has been shaped even by the hand of man as nations have taken to the battlefields and unleashed horrific magical forces upon the lands. Centuries have passed since the world has been drawn forth from the fires. The landquakes have ceased, the forests have flourished and life has filled every niche. What is left is a world of incredible beauty and variety. Excerpt: *Strapped to a scarred wooden table by leather wrist and ankle restrains lays a boy of no more than 10 years of age. His chest has been carefully sliced open, the exterior skin rolled back like a fragile piece of vellum and pinned down by a thick silver needle. Once fresh internal organs now riddled with a cornucopious amount of small white worms. Judging by the the child's mangled wrists it is apparent that he tried to free himself of his restraints. Just after you choke down the horror or... what may have been your lunch the boy slowly turns his head to the side and locks his gaze upon you. A single tear rolls down his already stained cheek ... his lips are barely moving but no sounds comes out.* Thank you for reading my post, Hope to hear from some of you soon
