Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!” These were the best lines every spoken. I’m looking to put a small group together to play Barbarians of Lemuria, which is a rules light system best suited for sword & sorcery type games. Sandbox is the way I see this coming together, influenced by Frazetta, Howard and the like.

Which edition of barbarians would this be? Also what time/day did you have in mind?

I figure legendary would be the easiest. I was looking good at either Tuesday or Thursday evening, 7-9 pm.

If it comes down to it I'll get everyone who is interested and then figure a good time and day for everyone.

Hello there! I just downloaded the pdf for Barbarians of Lemuria Legendary Edition and am reading it now, and I have to say I'm really liking this rule set so far! I could definitely see this being conducive for an interesting story and I love sandbox style games. I would be fine with an evening game time, definitely, but I had a few questions for ya: Are you okay with someone new? Not to roleplaying, goodness no, but to the site I mean. And, what sort of style do you go for in your games? Would this be voice or text? What's your preferred plot-to-combat ratio or do you leave that up to the players to determine? 

I’m perfectly fine with someone that is new to Roll20, it’s pretty simple and not much different from tabletop aside from the fact that we separated by computers. I typically use the Roll20 for the interface as far as dice rolling, character sheets, maps, etc., and Skype for communication. I’ve mainly stuck to just voice, mainly due to the preference of others but video as well as voice is fine with me. As far as plot and combat, I’m more of a storyteller than anything else and prefer role-playing to roll-playing. I hope that answers everything for you.

Yes, that covers my questions nicely and I'm rather happy with the answers you provided! I have Skype (same account name as here) and am down with just voice while using roll20 for the extra stuff, and a focus on role-playing is fantastic. So yeah sounds great, consider me definitely interested in playing. :D

Over the weekend I'll be able to finish the initial write up and iron out character creation.

Excellent! I've read the entire book now and get the rules- not too hard with these mechanics, which is great. And I look forward to seeing the write up when you get it posted. =)
