Cool Stuff With Macros? (West Marches)

So I've been watching The West Marches Rollplay show a lot recently, and the resident DM Steven Lumpkin has done some really cool stuff with macros on that show, as well as making rolls for his players having a really interesting aesthetic on their rolls. Specifically, when they roll an attack, it will roll for advantage/disadvantage, roll damage, roll crit damage, and even ability damage/effects that the attack may have. I thought this was really cool and wanted to know how it worked? Is it just lots of complicated commands into the macros combined with character sheets? Is it a Roll20 pro membership benefit? If it's the former, I'd love for some help to figure out how I'd be able to do such a thing.

It looks like they're using Roll Templates provided by the D&D 5e Community Contributed Character Sheet . (This Character Sheet is on the dropdown, so all Roll20 users have access to it.) The sheet's roll buttons configure the Roll Template output for you, so using the &{template:5eDefault} Roll Template can be as easy as filling in some fields on the Character Sheet and pressing a button. :)

Thanks a lot for that, really helpful!
