[ARS MAGIKA 5th]

Hi ! Does somebody have a usable character sheet for Ars Mag ? A covenant sheet ? Is someone working on it ? Thanks answering :)
Currently working on it  here .  Dev server (you will have to sign in, but since I am hosting, you can get in on a free account)
Thanks a lot ! :)
Oh my, you've already done a great job !
Muddling through the magic right now.  Gonna be a few more day/week or so before I am done.
Alright, I need some folks to show up and check the sheet out, and tell me where there needs to be buttons.  After that, I think I am done.
Looks very good to me ! Anyone any ideas ?
Pull request created.

- We don't need buttons for the Magical Arts Techniques + Forms, we do need buttons to roll the Totals for Formulaic/Ritual/Spontaneous (Fatigue) casting totals.  - Are you restricted to the fonts that roll20 uses? Some of the fields are hard to read.  - For spells, the fields of Form and Technique should be transposed. - For spells, Mastery and Exp should be grouped - For spells, it would be my preference to have it fit the following convention: <Spell Name> <Technique Dropdown><Form Dropdown> L<Write-in> R : <Write-in> D : <Write-in> T : <Write-in> <Spell Description> Mastery <Write-in>, Exp <Write-in> Ex: Edge of the Razor Muto Terram L20 R : Touch, D : Sun, T : Individual Sharpens any metal edge to a degree unequaled by manual methods... (Base 3, +1 Touch, +2 Sun, +2 Metal) Mastery 1, Exp 5 - For combat, the rollers seem to be misspelling their counterparts - It would be a strong desire that for scores with experience, setting the score would call up the experience breakpoints for the next level. (Let me know if you need the reference for the experience tables) - ex.  - For combat, the Wound Penalty notes don't have to be for each wound level, they can be a single block underneath all the levels. Should help you condense it a little better.  - Thanks so much for your work and I hope these comments don't come too late or are too cumbersome!

I will happily fix the issues, hopefully this week.  I'll let you know when I've made progress.

Sorry, it only came up to my notice cause I visit sporadically and noticed this thread line on the forum feed.   It's honestly a pleasant surprise,  I wasnt sure when you'd get to the request I had made six months ago.

I don't know how well character sheets take certain functions, but the experience function for Magical Arts is (N(N+1))/2 with the experience for Abilities simply (N(N+1))/2*5
Still working on making the fixes.  It might be a while.

Also, if there's any graphical assistance I can give to fancify the sheet, let me know. Something like to sit behind tables or frames I can do.
What exactly is "graphical assistance"? Help that is really graphic?  Help with graphics?   ...or maybe buying me tickets to the movies?  One that note I really like bars of gold...

Like this but more appropriate to a character sheet...
Okay, did some updates to the test campaign.  Tell me what you think.

Thanks for your time & effort, Puppet! I'll make some more suggestions broken down by tab: Character Tab - Some information from Magical Arts can be moved here: - (House, Covenant, Wizard's Sigil, Domus Magna, Primus, Parens, Covenant of Apprenticeship)* *This is effectively all background information for the character. - Virtues and Flaws fields should be able to fit 10 lines without scrollbars. (Characters can usually have up to 10 virtues/flaws) - It would be super if there was a expanding field per line for description for each virtue/flaw item.  - Personality Traits and Reputations can be shortened up, maybe five lines.  Characteristics - Its probably not necessary to have the roller display the Experience of Abilities.  Magical Arts - Under Base Casting Totals, 'Stress' is a descriptor of what "type" of die you roll. Its not necessary to show the size if the die. - It would be nice to actually replace the 'Die' column with a button to roll the casting total. (1d10+Total for the particular line) - If you do put in a roller, remember that the die roll for the spontaneous (fatigue) spells is added to the total before dividing by 2.  - Also remember that spontaneous (No fatigue) doesn't use a die and doesn't need a roller.  - Lab totals should include a drop-down for Technique and Form, column labeling for the numbers would be appreciated, I have no idea where those numbers are coming from.  Combat - Looking great, just a couple things.  - I have no idea what the Soak roller is doing.  - Weapon damage isn't rolled and the information should be included in the Atk roll.  - Roller should display: "Character attacks with Shortsword <attack+roll>, with <dam> damage." Spells - Great improvement on spells! - My only thing is that the spell roller output should display the Technique, Form, and Level. Could probably go in place of your <Character> casts <spell> line in the output.  Thanks for bearing with my suggestions :D

If you post the little graphical bits you are using for the sheet I can start redoing them as you are fixing the sheet, I feel like it'd be pretty close with these fixes.
Which little graphic bits?  The css?
In the test campaign :  Character Tab - Some information from Magical Arts can be moved here: Moved - Virtues and Flaws fields should be able to fit 10 lines without scrollbars. Virtues and Flaws are now repeating fields, with expanding text areas. - It would be super if there was a expanding field per line for description for each virtue/flaw item . Done. - Personality Traits and Reputations can be shortened up, maybe five lines. Character sheet I used as a model had that many so...I'm leaving them unless there is a compelling reason to remove them. Characteristics - Its probably not necessary to have the roller display the Experience of Abilities. Not hurting anything, right?  If it is, I will remove it. Magical Arts - Under Base Casting Totals, 'Stress' is a descriptor of what "type" of die you roll. Its not necessary to show the size if the die. Okay.  I just copied the chart.   - It would be nice to actually replace the 'Die' column with a button to roll the casting total. (1d10+Total for the particular line) Done - Lab totals should include a drop-down for Technique and Form, column labeling for the numbers would be appreciated, I have no idea where those numbers are coming from. Added details for the Lab, and Drop down menus. Combat - Looking great, just a couple things. - I have no idea what the Soak roller is doing . ...neither did I.  It was rolling 11d10, instead of 1d10.  - Weapon damage isn't rolled and the information should be included in the Atk roll. Done Spells - Great improvement on spells! - My only thing is that the spell roller output should display the Technique, Form, and Level. Could probably go in place of your <Character> casts <spell> line in the output. This requires sheet workers, which I did not have time for this morning.  So I will look into it this weekend.

Thanks for the quick turnaround.  On the case of experience on abilities,  it's something of a consistency for me.  Just about every system in ars magica has an experience track, so it seems weird to call out just abilities.   As far as graphical things,  I'm assuming the character sheet buttons and header corners are images.  Just wondering if I could maybe figure outthe dimensions of any static images you are using and go from there.
Hi. Is this still going? I'm doing an AM5 game and I came across your sheet but there are a few errors in it, so I'd like to contribute. One thing I noticed, Stamina and Aura aren't in the casting roll.
This is still a thing.  Anything else needs fixing?

Hmm, the last obvious thing to me is moving the Aura number from the Character Tab to either Magical Arts or Spells, its a number that changes frequently and comes up while you are figuring out your rolls.  Mostly I'm looking forward to polishing off the look of the charactersheet, admittedly the use of fonts is pretty rough to my eyes

Any thought about automating how the experience is calculatted?

I also just noticed that Wound Penalties don't get applied to any rolls.
I will work on the font, and everything else, after finals.  As much as I love helping with a game I've never played, I like graduating more.

Let us know when you are done with finals, and we can totally treat you to some Ars Magica.
When/if you update the sheet, could you include a checkbox or something for Abilities and Arts in case you have the Puissant Virtue for any of them? If you do you get a bonus, +3 for Arts or +2 for Abilities, when you use them. The best you can do now is either keep it in your head, which with all the other numbers you usually have to remember isn't the best solution, or write in the value as if it was 2 or 3 higher, which is a TERRIBLE idea for a number of reasons I can think of, most of which involve experience points.
Okay, added spell forms and techniqies to the roll template, along with level.  Removed Greatviberegular as a font, and....did something else.  Not sure. Will look into doing more later.
Updated all be the soak roll with wound penalties.  Anyone care to tell me what fatigue applies to?
Updated with radio buttons for Puissant on abilities and forma and techniques
