Is there a way to edit Bar 1 from inside a macro?

For example, if Bar 1 represents the number of daily uses of an ability I have is there a command I can set into my macro for that daily ability to reduce Bar 1 by 1? I know the tracker is set up to where you can do that with the &{tracker:-} command, but I've not seen anything about editing Bars 1-3 with it, and it's not working for me when I try in game.

I don't think you can do it purely through a macro, but I believe you can do it using a combination of the API and a macro.
