noob lookking for a dm for pathfinder

want to play pathfinder. i have never played a d20 before, but have studied the rules for this, somewhat.
just a dm? Or do you have room for other players? I am new to pathfinder specifically but have experience with 3.5 so I would be comfortable playing but not dming if you have more room.
i'm cool with that, sure why not.
at what time do you intend to play?
i am still working on that, probably Friday or Saturday at around 6:30 EST
I will only be busy late afternoons Tuesdays, and at some point in the future Saturdays might become a problem for me, however Friday afternoons, or any other day for that matter, would be fine.
sounds like Friday. warning, my pals (who may or not join) may be a bit..... um..... less by the book then i would like.
that's fine by me, I trust I can keep up with whatever play style seems to be prevalent, do you have any ideas what you are shooting for in terms of starting level or point buy? Or would you let the dm decide? I am looking at a dervish dance magus but it takes a little work to make him effective before third level.
.... we are REALLY new. i am going for a human druid, and my one friend will probably go for a half orc fighter or barbarian. we will probably leave alot up to the DM
alright, not a problem, just tinkering around with stats right now to see what works.
cool. like i said i'm my first post i have never actually played any D20's before and neither have most of my pals. and i think me and one other guy are the only ones reading the rule book... um... this doesn't look good, does it?
I'm sure we can teach you as we go, have to start somewhere anyways. I have enough experience with 3.5 to help with pathfinder rules and if we get an experienced dm it shouldn't be a problem.
i know.

PF has some changes relative to 3.5 that can trip up 3.5 players. A few examples of the ones that fly under the radar: * No reach weapon exception to the distance calculation. (Most ppl Houserule this back into existence.) * Ability Score damage and penalties are treated differently * Nonlethal damage works differently etc. etc. If you guys need any rules help let me know. Additionally, I may be willing to run some sessions for PF newbies between now and January 10th. My UN-available days are: Dec23, Jan1st, 2nd, 7th, 9th and then after Jan 10th. Times available are afternoons or evenings EST (GMT -500) Note: this is not an offer for a regular campaign but if you are interested in a new PF player mini-campaign I can GM it. If whatever mini-adventure we are running extends past that I should be able to make time after the 10th to finish it. - Gauss
um... that sounds cool with me. i need some experience in the game, as i am a total noob, so... ya

The ball is in your guys' court. :) Come up with days and times to meet. I would prefer a full list of days/times you guys agree on between now and Jan 10th so I know how much adventure to come up with. After that we can work on character generation. - Gauss
i should be cool most days... though i don't think i can get earlier then 6:30 most nights. anyways whatever works for mgd i'll try to work with. still would like a full campaign, but i need experience.
really up to you tailspin, I have no restrictions on times from now until January 12th, so if you schedule something I can make it.

It would be great if there are more than 2 players but if not. Im easy. :) - Gauss
I think tailspin had some other friends he was getting together, thank you for being willing to show us through the game by the way.
2 of my pals are good any day, and i am trying to get a hold of a 3rd. anyways i may or may not be able to do Christmas eve and day, but otherwise i should be fine (key word should)

20pt buy, no traits (keeping it simple), no hero points. Myth-weavers.com is a good place for character sheets. - Gauss
okay, i don't know hero point are, and i'm cool with ditching traits for now. also, what is 20 point bye?
sooo i have to redo my character sheet -.-

20 point buy is on CRB p16 or can be found here: <a href="http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/gettingStarted.html" rel="nofollow">http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/gettingStarted.html</a> Under 'Ability Score Costs'. - Gauss
also weave been using this to make our characters <a href="http://www.pathguy.com/PathfinderCore.htm" rel="nofollow">http://www.pathguy.com/PathfinderCore.htm</a>

Oh yes, and buy equipment, assume average starting equipment. Myth-Weaver is a good website for hosting character sheets. <a href="http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/equipment.html" rel="nofollow">http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/equipment.html</a> - Gauss

Tailspin, I provided both the page number and a link. Here they are again: Point Buy is on CRB p16 or can be found here: <a href="http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/gettingStarted.html" rel="nofollow">http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/gettingStarted.html</a> Under 'Ability Score Costs'. How point buy works: 7 = -4pts 8 = -2pts 9 = -1pts 10 = 0pts 11 = 1pts 12 = 2pts 13 = 3pts 14 = 5pts 15 = 7pts 16 = 10pts 17 = 13pts 18 = 17pts You have 20 points to spend. Example: 16str (10pts) 12dex (2pts) 14con (5pts) 10int (0pts) 8wis (-2pts) 14cha (5pts) Which is a total of 20pts - Gauss
i found it you row 2 10 sided die before hand decide which is gonna be your tens digit and row them if you get ex 4 and a 2 if the one that rowed 4 was your ten digit die you get 42 points and vice versa would be 24 points
ok so ill use the palidans 5v6 gold roll
myth weaver was a character sheet, and try this site for a point buy calculator, remember the cost is exponential, more expensive to go from 16 to 17 than from 10 to 11 <a href="http://tools.digitalightbulb.com/pbcalc.html" rel="nofollow">http://tools.digitalightbulb.com/pbcalc.html</a>
kk got a 6 and 5 65 ability points
ill stick with my javascript one
ok nvm mine doesnt have the 2v10
