EDIT: WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR PLAYERS AND DM'S :) THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF INTEREST ALREADY, AND THIS EXCITINGLY HAS GROWN. :) WHAT STARTED AS A HOPE FOR JUST ONE CAMPAIGN HAS GROWN INTO QUITE A FEW CAMPAIGNS WITH HEAPS OF DIFFERENT PLAYERS, DIFFERENT GAMES, TIMES ETC. IT IS NOW MORE OF A GATHERING OF FEMALE PLAYERS SEEKING EACH OTHER OUT. AND FINDING GROUPS FROM THERE. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PLAYING WITH OTHER FEMALES PLEASE PM ME, SHAY FOR MORE DETAILS. AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOME FEMALE DM'S :) (I KNOW YOU ARE OUT THERE!) THERE ARE ALREADY SOME GROUPS STARTING TO COME TOGETHER TO START A CAMPAIGN, AND ARE LOOKING FOR DM'S. BUT ALSO, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHEN OR WHAT YOU WANT TO DM. AS WE ALSO CAN BUILD GROUPS AROUND YOU :) PS: IF WE CAN'T FIND ENOUGH DM'S SOME OF US WILL BE FINE WITH MALE DM'S, AS I KNOW THERE ARE PLENTY WHO ARE WANTING TO DM! WHICH IS AWESOME! BUT FOR THE TIME BEING WE ARE JUST SEARCHING FOR FEMALE DM'S. ONCE GROUPS AND TIMES ARE ORGANISED, THE GROUPS WILL POST AND START SEARCHING FOR A MORE SPECIFIC DM FROM THERE DEPENDING ON WHAT THEY WANT :) THANKS EVERYONE! AGAIN JUST PM, SHAY FOR MORE DETAILS :) ________ Hi there! To keep it very simple I am looking for female players, and a GM who are interested in teaming up with other ladies for an ongoing campaign . I just wanted to see if anyone is interested in finding, or starting one and then we can discuss what game and edition (pathfinder, dnd, star wars, etc.) and time and frequency etc. Personally I only have very little experience in dnd. As I have only just joined an ongoing dnd next campaign and played twice. So beware, I am a Noob. Also I live in Australia, but as I have a very flexible schedule pretty much any time zone is okay with me. So if you think you might be interested let me know! Thanks! -Shay

Hi Shay! My fingers are itching to play and I just found this place! Ubber excited to see what it can do!!!! I'm not new to gaming but my past DM was extremely liberal on rules and ideas so I've got a weird learning curve. I've plenty of books (physical and pdf format) I'd even be willing to try DMing once I get a handle on how this setup works. So... add me to your list and we shall see where it goes.
Rad! That's great! :) What game have you played/ would be wanting to play?? -shay
I find this very sexist! So what if all the PCs are female, it's called roleplaying and men can roleplay women and vice versa. Seriosly speaking how would it make things any simpler if all the players and the GM are female? Sorry for highjacking your LFG with my question.
HI Maetco, I appreciate your concerns. And I am truly sorry that you feel this way, and sorry if I have offended others with my post. I had absolutely no intention. I play with guys now, and have absolutely no problem with playing with them. I don't care for gender, Or what gender people play as. I also never said that the characters would have to be female. Just the players. And I didn't say that it would be easier with an all girl RPG group. But the long and the short of it is, girls and guys are different. And personally, I would love to play a game with all girls. I watch Misscliks Dnd and totally want an experience like that. So again, I am very sorry to anyone I have offended. But that being said, I am not going to take this ad down, and will still actively look for a group. I am sorry. -Shay
I have realised that you may be referring to when i said "to keep it very simple". I was attempting to keep the post simple. I wasn't talking about the game. I think my terrible wording, may have caused a misunderstanding. -Shay

It is important to note that roleplaying is utterly dominated by men it is some times hard for some women to get into it. Game like this is any easy way for some women to ease into the hobby in a less intimidating setting. A group full of guys tends to be quite rowdy, though in general I have yet to meet a guy who said no to a girl joining their group or a guy. Who was purposefully disrespectful. Still the issue is more the unintended behavior that can happen. I'm in a game where the GM is 16 year old girl and all the players guys. Some of the guys tend to get quite inappropriate at times because they don't stop to think about the situation. nothing was directed at her but considering she prefers to not have swearing in her game it safe to say she low comfort level thresh hold.
Shay: Rather than posting here, I recommend just creating your campaign and list it as actively looking for players. In your campaign description you can state your preferences for only female players or anything else. Then you can contact the responders directly, or not, as you like.
Hi Brett, Thanks for the advice. I will be doing that now. :) -Shay

Not understanding why she shouldn't post here.
Primarily because postings in this forum get buried so fast. My experience has been that listing your campaign as Looking for Players gets more, and better targeted, responses.
Hey Shay, Still fairly new to D&D but have read up/played in a 3.5 campaign for a while, and can learn more. I'd definitely wanna' check out a game such as this. Let me know how this progresses and I'll keep a look out. Thanks! -Amber
Are you looking for the DM/GM to be female as well? If not I would be willing to throw my hat into the ring (depending on availability of course) if you are in fact looking for a female GM/DM then of course ignore this lol.

I thought that posting replies actually keeps the thread near the top of the list. I would think that the title of the thread alone would generate lots of views.
Hey, guy GM here, I regularly GM with men and women both. Not seeking to join in on your game, but wanted to post in support. I don't see a need for you to apologize to anyone, just like I only seek players 4P - 8P EST time zone, what am I, TIMEist? lol. No. Good luck to you and the ladies that join this. I see the reasons and need for it. I saw a quote an hour ago, "no females play Roll20." so this is cool that that is just a rumor. I run two Traveller Games here on Roll 20. All men, mostly because no women have applied. Sayo!

Would that make me a systemist since I won't run any of the newer systems but only the older systems? j/king. Shay, you have every right to want to game with who you want to and if it is only girls then go for it. There is no reason for you not to post your requirements. There are GM's that post specific systems, they post experienced gamers only or experienced with a specific system so you are perfectly within your right to ask for specific type of people aka women that you are comfortable to game with. So anyone tries to tell you otherwise, give them a raspberry with a finger and build yourself a group that you want, not what they want. That's my two cents on this matter.
Personally, I just really want to thank all the people who have been supportive about this post. I really appreciate your comments :) THANKS! -Shay
Can I join and play a male character, or is that against the intention :3
Hi Christine :) Yep you can play a male character For me it is more about seeing what happens when a bunch of girls RP together :) I have sent you an invite! Thanks -Shay
Another woman roleplayer here :D
I have sent you an invite :)
