Session 90: Goliaths enjoy smaller spoons Present: Zasheir Khalid, Human Fighter/Cleric Lvl 2 (Sam D S) Artorias, Dragonborn, Fighter lvl 1, (Sam) Viktor Mythweave, Human Fighter Lvl 1 (Chris) Bort; Goliath Fighter, Lvl 3 (Hairy0tter) Shadow Starr; Wood Elf Bard lvl 2 (Justine) Gabriella Greatoven, Halfling, Monk lvl 4 (Taleek) I knight Artorias write this log to the Iron Fist to inform them of the happenings during the expedition to Ardaal on the twelfth of Shiel to the eighteenth of the same month. Our party was gathered at the Tipsy Mermaid. A goliath by the name of Bort gathered us by standing outside the inn asking us to join him for this adventure. When I arrived Gabriella owner of "The Slice of Life" restaurant in the upper city was sitting by a table waiting for the party to form. A short minute later a noble called Zasheir Khalid joined us by the table with his squire. At some time after this point we were joined by human called Viktor and a elf called Shadow but I didn't see when, since I took some time to think, and maybe rest a little. We took a boat to Ardaal and spent some time fishing. When we arrived we walked to Camp Kelna and asked about our mission. We were told of the people who we were after and they told us the name of the leader of their group. A dwarf named Granos and gave us a general description of the others. And then we left for the missing party. The first night, we traveled east in the same direction the missing party walked. We eventually found tracks that looked like goblin tracks and something being dragged. I told the party that I felt like this was a obvious trap and so I kept my eyes open. We found that the drag marks ended by a small sand dune. We first assumed it was quicksand and inspected with a pole. We found out that it was not but we still wanted to examine the sand. Bort had the idea that if we tie a rope to him and the other end to a tree he could step on the sand without falling in. The second he stepped in the middle of the sand it started moving and he danced vigorously and was able to stay on his foot. When the dust settled he was surrounded by a type of crawler covered in scales. We later brought one to Camp Kelna so you would be able to ask the men there what it looked like. They contained a type of corrosive acid which would cause our weapons and armor to slowly break down. They would spew this acid on our armor and when we hit them with our weapons they would be covered in acid and start breaking down. I tried to get Bort out of there as fast as possible but I didn't want my weapons to break so I tried to line up for my fire breath to kill them. Gabby had no issue damaging them with her magical weapon. Zasheir enchanted his weapon with magic so he was able to help too. Bort made his way away from the crawlers and they switched their attention to Zasheir. But they noticed they couldn't hit him because of his tower shield. So they switched their attention towards me. I tried keeping my distance but they managed to knock me unconscious. The noble healed me and got me up. I made my way away from the crawlers but they caught up and destroyed my armor. I might as well have been fighting naked after that. By the time I got back up and healed, the fight was mostly over. Almost all crawlers were dead and I felt only shame. The others finished the crawlers off and when they all were dead I took some time for regret. But we were all alive which is better than I can say for my past duties. I asked that we returned to Camp Kelna to rest up and resupply since we were in such a bad shape. Gabby agreed and the others remained quiet but I believe that they agreed too. We traveled back and Gabby was extremely generous and bought me a new set of armor even better than my last one. I think she made Viktor and Bort a little jealous. I will forever remember this kindness and appreciate her actions during this mission. Shadow also spent some time mending our broken weapons and armor. We then all went to rest for the night. Me and Bort shared a ten... (It seems like the text hast been scrawled over to cover what was written but it was probably not important anyway.) After I had donned my armor I joined the others. And we set out for our search again after a short while. This time we found tracks leading to a small camp. It was marked on a map and I later told Masyn the captain of Camp Kelna the location of this smaller camp. In the camp we managed to find another set of foot prints that we believed could belong to the missing party. So we followed them and found a set of doors made of stone. We entered them and found some type of ruins. There was statues which Shadow told us were giving away a small aura of conjuration magic. We also found a nearby room which had two statues and broken pieces of what I think might have been a plate. The two statues in this room had been defaced and broken. Shadow gathered the pieces to try to mend it. We also found two backpacks by the entrance to this room containing some equipment that we had no need for. We then walked up the corridor and I found a small jail cell with a skeleton in it. I made the assumption that this might have been a type of jail some time ago. Shadow alerted us to a stone door which was radiating necrotic energy. Me and Bort tried to knock it down. But if was too stable, I don't think any amount of humanoid force would be enough. Gabby took out a small bag and pulled out a bobby pin and used it to unlock the door. We then got ready and Bort opened the door. And behind it we found a specter. We realized something we should have realized a long time ago. It let out a harrowing screech and we got ready for it to attack us. Bort tried to get it to attack him and then tried to lure it away form us others. Sadly it didn't care and used some dark magic and threw Shadow to the other side of the corridor. Gabbie pulled out some magic honey and made work of the specter quickly. But it was not alone. We were quickly surrounded by small shadow goblins. This probably was the reason for sightings of small dark goblin sized creatures. They were many but were easy to kill. They weren't too dangerous we were able to deal with them but we also found the missing party and they no longer were in control. Their eyes were glowing red and they attacked us. We fought for a while but at some point Zasheir decided to run at them. And he triggered a trap floor and got stuck in a pit. The ladder up from it was on the other end so he was stuck with them and we couldn't jump down and help him since the floor was pulling metals down. I decided to take the long route around to help him. We opened a door past the trap floor and behind it, it looked like there was nothing but a small room but one of the shadow goblins revealed a illusionary wall. It probably leads towards the big room the mission party were waiting in. Shadow called out that Zaheir was gone and couldn't be saved. And as her voice reached my ears I disappeared for a split second into a old memory. I saw my unit all dead on the ground. I could taste the blood in my mouth, I could hear the beating of drums of war in the distance, I could even smell the stench of blood . And as I looked up over the hill I could see the enemy forces victoriously waving a banner above their heads. But I soon realized this wasn't a banner but a spike. And on top of it I saw a severed head with the spike thrust through it. I felt my entire body tremble as I looked on in horror and knew that I could have done more, that I should have done more. I was pulled back to reality and made the harsh decision to retreat. I closed the door on my way out hoping that it would slow the missing party down. Bort and I cautiously made our way back. But as I was making sure not to get hit from across the trap pit by a ranged attack, I didn't notice the man behind me who knocked me out in one hit. I woke up to Bort standing in between me and the other party telling me to run so that we don't both fall as Gabby was on her way towards us. Bort made me fe... (More text has been covered here. This time you aren't sure if something important was covered but it looks like it ends just where it started.) Gabby came running and distracted the entire enemy party as they quickly noticed that if they ignored her she would make quick work of them. She told us to run and again I could feel my body ache and shake. But I had to trust that she knew what she was doing. Me and Bort managed to make our way to the entrance hall. And behind us walking through the wall came Gabby in a astral form. How she did this I don't know at all. But I assume this was her plan and that we needed to pick up the pace in order to not get chased down. We got away with luck and quickly found a place to rest. We climbed into trees to hide from enemies. There was not enough big trees for me and Bort so he hid in a brush. Gabby felt like she couldn't leave Bort alone on the ground so she hid in a brush too. In the middle of the night a small group of fey dragons made their way towards us from the north.I woke up to one of them letting out a loud screech. And quickly retreating back to it's friends. They slowly made their way closer to Viktor but Gabby lured them to her by talking to them in Draconic and giving them pie. They seemed happy with the pie and left us alone. When the day had passed we made our way towards Camp Kelna. On our way we could see a group of what we assumed to be four elves following us with torches. Either they wanted us to see them or they were idiots. We decided to wait for them and see what they wanted. Bort and I stood beside Gabby as she was going to talk to them, while Viktor and Shadow hid. They didn't know any languages Gabby tried. I tried in Draconic and then High Valkari. And they seemed to understand some words from High Valkari but I didn't understand them. We asked them if they meant ill and they shook their heads. Gabby had painted pictures of the missing party and gave them to the elves to see if they knew anything about them. It didn't seem like they did but they kept the pictures so I assume they will show them to others. Then they said something that seemed like either a warning, or a threat. They then stopped following us. We returned to Camp Kelna and I informed the captain of the locations of the the small camp and the ruins. We also told them what happened to the party. And we ended this all by getting on a boat and leaving for Haven again. I hope the others will stay safe after this missions incredible failure.                                                                                                                                                                                               - Knight Artorias

Session 93: Darkness descends over Luca. Thamior, Dark Elf, Rogue 1 (VRH) Luca Scipio Lupus, Shifter Fighter lvl 03 (Wolf) / Fletcher Railegshai, Human Ranger, Lvl 3 (Ernie S.) Rath, Dragonborn, Sorcerer 3 (Mark) Fangron, Human, Wizard 3 (SlothSlow) / Ironside the Elf, Wood elf, Fighter 3 (Witch Hunter) Malagven, Dark Elf, Warlock/Sorcerer lvl 4 (Niko) Dux Profectus Herus, Half-Orc, Paladin 1 (Jimmy W.) Dux Profectus Herus, log for 30-36 of shiel personal log of Dux Profectus Herus, kept by the Temple of Sol. In my ever holy endeavour to bring the light of the first emperor into the darkness of Makra. I found a group of people at the establishment called the Tipsy Mermaid, a place for more then just rest, but also the depravity of alchohol and smoking. There I met Malagven, a darkskinned elf of sorts, we were joined by a warrior that called himself Luca, a dragonborn called Rath, a rock-gnome lunatic called Cognutz and another darkskinned elf named Tharinor, shifty kinda guy. thankfully in addition to all these abominations, we had a Human called Fangron. As we ventured into the darkness of Makra we followed the directions of Fangron into the east of the caves. After an uneventful first day, we encountered a lava-river on the second day. on the other side of the lava-river we were assaulted by something called a Piercer. Thinking that it was alone, Luca followed it further along the way, and that is when darkness struck, everything went dark around him. The casters and the ranged people shot at it and tried their best to attack it but to no avail, we could here Luca dying. After they had eaten him, they attacked us, the darkness crept forward and something enveloped my head. in cold determination I hit it, and myself, over the head to get rid of it, the next thing I knew, I got zapped by lightning, and fell over unconscious. what they did next I have no clue, all I know is that I was awoken after the creatures of darkness, called Darkmantles I have been told, were taken care off. As is the duty of a member of the cloth, Cognutz and I convinced the rest of the group to head back to deliver the corpse of Luca to have the proper funeral rites preformed for him. Fangron now decided he had had enough for now and returned to Haven with the remains of Luca. In their place Ironside the elf, and Fletcher the Human joined us to continue exploring. Heading north this time, led by Flecher, we found a temple, recently raided by other members of the white horse, we started our own exploration of the temple, where we found a secret room, it contained switches. so we let CogNut play around with them for a while, before we decided to instead go down to the basement. Fletcher ran ahead like always, and fell down some stairs into a 20 foot deep pit, inhabited by a Cube. After pummelling the cube, we explored the rest of it and found some statues and an alter, played around with it for a while to no apparent effect. Getting fed up, Fletcher attacked CogNut with a dart, claiming that he hates gnomes. I told him in no uncertain terms that one does not attack teammates while out in the field, no matter what. He seamed cowed and held his hand.  After a nights rest at the temple, we set forth again into the unknown, and found a part of the cave with a seal embedded in the floor and a broken tower. Fletcher attacked a second team-mate, Ironside, when we tried to break the seal. We apprehended Fletcher and decided to bring him back to Haven for justice in the name of the Emperor, in all his Glory. On our way back south we were attacked yet again, by insects this time, and Fletcher got loose during the ensuing battle, So we had to subdue him again, this time with more force. We returned safely after that, now I need to go, I need to get Fletcher to jail. Faithfully, Dux Profectus Herus, Officer and Paladin in service to the white Emperor.

Session 93: Luca's finaly stand. And the Gaytime fun slide. A gnomes tale part 2 of ??? Thamior, Dark Elf, Rogue 1 (VRH) Luca Scipio Lupus, Shifter Fighter lvl 03 (Wolf) / Fletcher Railegshai, Human Ranger, Lvl 3 (Ernie S.) Rath, Dragonborn, Sorcerer 3 (Mark) Fangron, Human, Wizard 3 (SlothSlow) / Ironside the Elf, Wood elf, Fighter 3 (Witch Hunter) Malagven, Dark Elf, Warlock/Sorcerer lvl 4 (Niko) Dux Profectus Herus, Half-Orc, Paladin 1 (Jimmy W.) Sprocket Springhouse Aka CogNutZ ,Rock gnome, Sorcerer lvl 2 ( Simen M) Sprockt's Journal :32 of shiel Since my previous adventure I’ve made improvements to my Stor’o’Zapper and power glove which I’m most proud of. After the ordeal with the Voydoni my Spark’zapper mk42 core seems to hold more power than before, So to make use of this power I’ve constructed some conducting tubes that can be attached from my Stor’o’zapper to my powerglove, greatly increasing the potential power output. And after weeks of training I’m finally able to control small doses of the energy feeding into my spells, most exiting! Oh and *someone* here at the white horses have been stealing/borrowing bolts ,metal plates, nails, springs and the likes. Doors are falling out of their frames and tables collapse under the slightest weight. It’s all rather strange, the old man whose name I still cannot remember, despite being *studied* rather often. And at this point im to emberassed to ask. still has no leads OR EVIDENCE! As to whom the borrower might be. Anyhow. Sanseing it was time for a field test of the empowerd Sparzapper mk42 core and boosted powerglove .and getting out of the white horse for a couple of days had no part of it!. I started looking around for work. The notice board had many existing jobs on it, but as I looked through them another member of the house approached, informing me that Malagven was leading an expedition and was in need of adventures, and that if interested I should head to the Tipsy Mermaid to sign up. As this job had no flier, I picked one of the notice board, and skimmed it slightly before eating it as a light snack on my way over to the mermaid.it said something about a healing god on the fey island, wich sounded interesting and tasted like my favorite STRAWBERRIES!. Once at the Tipsy mermaid I met with Malagven and the others that had signed up for the adventure. I was very happy to again see Luca Scipio, whom I had met and befriended on a job the very first day I was here in Maladon, I showed him the Clockwork toy iv made of him, it even howled like Luca did, and he seemed most entertained. I also met Dux, a rather bulky Half ork in heavy Armor, Fangron and Rath, both of which iv seen before around the White Horse but never talked to. And then there was Thamior, who looked a little like Malagven, clearly an elf, but with some sort of dark makeup, I should ask them about that makeup one day. After a quick ferry ride, where the crazed ferryman attempted to make a bet with Thamior and Dux. we arrived at the shore, and Malagven lead the way to to some portal contraptions. There we met a lady named Lorwyn, Malagven talked for a while with the woman, and she gave him a ring that could produce freshwater, saying we’d need lots of water on our trip, so we bought a couple of barrels and strapped them to our donkeys, it was nice that Sparklmane got another donkey friend for his trip. Most of the journey into the cave network went by pretty smoothly; I stopped every now and again to chisel a cog mark into the cavern walls so we had something to follow on the way back. The ruffians were the ones to navigate our trip so there was little I had to do on the way, so I spent most of my time chitchatting with Luca. We came to a halt at a magma river, Malagven send his strange flying fish pet over a natural bridge , calming he could see through its eyes and that it would scout ahead for us. Not about to be outdone by some freaky looking fish I sendt my pet rock, Rocky flying after the fish. He did a wonderfull job.As on the other side was some super dangerous trap that Rocky found and made safe for us! Good job rocky! After the party and reluctant donkeys crossed the bridge I recovered Rocky, who’d changed his colour and shape alittle bit, but that’s was ok, he dose that a lot. As we ventured forwards one of the guys from the white horse summoned a servant to carry a torch for him so that he could see, but apparently the servant got killed? Destroyed?? Unsummoned.. After which Malagven freaked out and blasted a some spell into the side cavern. The party came to a halt and decided to investigate, Malagven sent his freaky fish to look, so I of course Sent Rocky as well. Who did just fine. Luca had positioned himself in the centre of the tunnel shouting for whatever was inn there to attempt to attack him.(little tear stain on paper) And (tear smudge) so they did. Darkness descended from the ceiling and engulfed Luca in a blackness even my keen gnome sight could not penetrate. Then came (smudge) the horrid sounds of Lucas muffled screams, as well as what sounded like rocks beating on armour. Luca was lost in the darkness and there was nothing I could do to help him. Some of the party fired spells and projectiles into the darkness but who knows if it did anything. After a while the darkness surged towards us, and something dropped onto my head trying to strangle me. After some time and struggle someone freed me of the thing on my head, in the aftermath I had a look at it, some sort of squid like creature, shortly after the last of the foul creatures was defeated somehow.(unreadable smudges) Luca had fallen to the (tear smudge smudge’dy smudge smudge smudge smudge smudge smudge smudge smudge smudge smudge smudge smudge) helped me with his body, closeing the (smudge) wounds. Thamior helped himself to Lucas bow, the same bow that he ( Smudges) bandits. I felt like having e memento from my friend, so i collected a few bits of his battered armour shards to use on my inventions. The group had no objections to me having his prized sword, so I took that with me as well. (smudge) marked the cave wall with his name, date and how he fell ( Smudge). Thamior suggested we dump his body in the magma river, but i would have none of that and insisted we brought him back for a propper buiral. Using Lucas massive shield as a stretcher for his fallen form (smudge) to sparklemane, Who’s mane was actually sparkling with magicle light. Lucas final journey (----------------------------------smudges----------- ----Smudges-----) arriving back at the portals where he had first set off from. Handing Luca over the woman. I informed her that if his affairs were not in order he would pay for his last rites should it come to that. We spendt the night safely in the camp. Dux the half ork spent some time talking with me, having me tell him about my friendship with Luca. It was nice having someone to talk with, as I took Luca’s death hard.(smudge) Party felt like we had not achieved anything and decided we should head back out again the next day. The Woman ( Smudge ) said they would look after Luca’s body until we got back. After a long rest, Fengron from the White horse said he had other things to attend to and departed. In his stead a new guy named fletcher and an elf named Ironsides joined us as we sat back out to explore, we followed those who seemed to know where they was going. I continued to mark the cavern walls along the route we went. After a while we came upon some strange markings on the wall, and decided to investigate the area. We’d found some creepy temple ruins. I overheard the others mention reading a report of a previous party going through here so it felt safe for us to walk inn. There was not much to be found inside, Apart from long corridors and some rooms which had alters in the centre, and some strange statues at each side. I made some sketches of the whole scene and took a rough copy of the script on the wall and alter. Again the mention of the previous expedition reached my ears, something about a pearl that was brought back from here. On our way back out there was strange wall, and after some investigation from me and Rocky JR we decided the wall had a hollow point. So Dux brought his maul over and broke it down. Behind there was a hidden room filled with levers. Pulling them gave no result. Having herd the talk of a pearl of sorts on the alter made me think it might have been its power source. So using the power harnessed in my Store’o’Zapper to fuel the mechanismsm i pulled a  lever, . This triggered some sort of trap out in the corridor. After pulling several more levers the party all found their way inside the hidden room to watch me work. But as my Store’o’Zapper didn’t have enough power to fuel more than one lever at a time, and getting no other results we abandoned the hidden room. I intend to return with other likeminded to get to the bottom of the functions of this room. Venturing deeper into the ruins, Fletcher ran *scouted* ahead and disappeared around a corner. A few moments later there was some strange sounds, followed by some screams. We responding quickly to the incident, and rounding the same corner Fletcher had, we saw what must had happened. The stairs had at some point turned into a slide, and he’d raced down and ended up in a pitfall. After the party gathered at the top of the stairs i identified what i thought was the lever disguised as a torch holder, and told the others, they got out rope and started to tie themselves up with it the intent of jumping out over the stair slide to grab hold of the hidden lever and pull. But i simply used my Hand extension levitation..eeh.. magic hand, magic.. To reach out and pull it. And just like that the slide turned back into stairs. So, pleased withmyself  I started to make my way down the stairs, Malagven sent his flying fish down to see what was going on and started to attack something down in the pit with using his magic through his freaky fish. After everyone piling their way down the stairs to get a view of fletcher and his hole, i went a step further because i could not see due to my height, in doing so i triggered the hidden mechanism in the fun slide again. And with that every went tumbling down the stairs , myself Rath and Dux went straight into the pit whit Thamior following after us. Ironside and Malagver did not come tumbeling down on our heads, so its safe to assume the avoided the gapeing hole. Innside the pit we found Fletcher, he was swollowed some big gelatinous cube thing, now myself , Rath and Dux was also trapped inside the cube. Although gelatinous looking it must have been made entirely of acid, for its juices ate away at my skin, which burned something horribly. Thamior also ended up in the pit, but there was no room for him inside the cube, lucky bastard.. anyway he got out his sword and beat at the cube creature, and with the combined effort of party , the cube looked to loose its form. The pain of the acid gnawing at me became to much, luckily Dux pulled me free from the acidic embrace of the slimey cube. But then he threw me up in the air, I tried to  grab the pits ledge in hopes of pulling myself up but, instead the floor rapidly approached me as I fell back down face first into the acid. That’s when I passed out. After coming back to it, Both me and Fletcher was up thanks to Raths healing magic, we eventually got fletcher and all his equipment out of the pit, and came across a massive star shaped alter, with the same statues as in the previous room .there’s writing on the alter which i note down. While fletcher and Dux had a grapple fight next to the alter, due to Fletcher constantly trying to chip away on the alter with his many many utensils. I attempted to look for more hidden rooms, but Dux and Fletchers shenanigans proved to distracting, as a dart struck the wall in front of me. so I had a closer look at the statues instead. The statues had scraped the floors at one point, showing that they had been rotated, so we tried turning them to point at the altar, and since it didn’t have any effect, to each other but nothing happened. The others were getting restless, so we gave up and went back outside the temple and settled inn for the night and feed our donkys. The following morning we sat out again to go look where the woman had told Malagven to scout. We came across a cave network, and in the bigger rooms of the caverns was some ancient ruins in the centre of which was a marble plate with scripture that i copied down. we also found ruins of an crumbled down tower next to the marble ruins, and another tower ruin, well foundation rather inside a side cavern, Thamior noted that the structure had melted away, which struck me as odd. After I finished taking notes on the area, copying the text of the marble slab, and making sketches of the ruins, We decided it was a good idea to try and brake open the marble plate located in the middle ruin, so Dux started to maul it like he had the hidden door. At which point Fletcher ran up to him and explained that there was some entity down here that we should not mess with, Showing us his arm, where he had ehm.. Absorbed some electrical energy that lashed out at him when he was smashing a hole in the slab without us noticing, he then went a little crazy and attacked Ironsides, Dux quickly grappled him, and the party thought it best to unarm him , tie him up, and gag him on a donkey for his continued shenanigans. On our way back to the portal to report on our findings got alittle lost in the caverns. So we slowed our pace trying to find our bearings. Again the freaky fish was used to scout ahead of us, I would have let Rocky loose to help scout, but I had been put on guard duty, watching over Fletcher whom was still tied and gagged to Dux’s donkey. I tried to take off his mouth gag to feed him some water, but as soon as his mouth was free he started chanting something with a mad glint in his eyes, so I stuffed the sock back into his mouth and tied it stuck. Further down the path we encountered some buzzing noises, so we all started sneaking as we approached the source of the noise. Mimicking Thamior’s moments I joined the others in a super stealthy approach ( Drawing of Cognutz dressed as a ninja ) Ironsides signalled the party to approach his position, so we all made ready for battle, as Ironsides disappeared around the corner only to hastily and with a worried look on his face come running back moments later. Hot on his heels was the source of the buzzing noise. Big Clouds of insects rounded the corner in hot pursuit of Ironsides. Rath let loose a specatular magic blast that, I think hit the swarms of insects. After the Swarms came several giant(for a beetle) red beetles. In the midst of the combat the freaky flying fish chewed Fletchers restraint so he got loose. But surely we could use another man on the frontline? By the time Fletcher was up on his feet, though still gagged and tied at the ankles. The insects was nearly all dead. I myself finished off a couple of the giant beetles using my newly powered SparkZapper Core I unleashed three homing bolts of arcane force. The improved Powerglove’s first field test went pretty damned good. Despite the side effect of my hair falling out. While the others helped Ironsides squash the last few insects that had gotten inside his armour, Fletcher had started to bunny hop his way away from us, with a crazed glint in his eyes. As he bolted past Dux, The hulking Half Ork swung his maul at him, Fletcher had clearly gone mad. So I raised my Power glove, adjusted the sights and sent three bolts zooming after him, he clearly got staggered by the blows, as he slowed down his pace. The others caught up with him and Dux delivered a bone crunching blow to Fletchers face. After he was tied back to the Dux’s donkey I could see that one of my blasts had singed his forehead, I fear it might be a permeant scar. The Red beetles we had slain was oozing some strange red ichor, I thought it interesting so I scooped up a few vial’s worth of the stuff for research. The rest of the trip back to the portals went without a hitch. Dux seemed intent on handing Fletcher over to the Empires authorities to be jailed for his behaviour. Once we’d reached the portal, and had a talk with Lorwyn about our findings, I was informed that Lucas body had been sent ahead of us to Haven for burial, so I quickly shared my notes and sketches with her as I was in a hurry to get back to Haven, She urged me to share it with the folks at the White horse on my return. And I would, but first I have some more urgent matters to attend to. I said goodbye to the party, especially Dux. Despise his intimidating form, he’s quite friendly and easy to talk to. 92: Lots of limbs Sharleen level 5 human barbarian, Taleek Kroasi, level 4 half-elf Druid, Peter Valtyr, Level 1/2 human fighter/barb, VRH Pyrrah Hleghymn, level 3 lirean elf wizard, justine Dain, level 2 Dwarven Cleric, Luchii Brok Boulderbreaker, level 3 Half Orc fighter/barb, chris Semortis, level 2 huamn fighter/roge, sam Dear Thalidd, I write this letter to you, though I hope I can soon make my way to the vale again, for now this will be difficult though... I am sorry that this report will take a bit longer but I still need to adjust. Dear Thalidd... would you please ask some of the craftsmen to start to look for rowan wood in the forest as I will need a prosthetic leg... Now I am at the place of a friend to recover a bit. As my task has been, I went to new areas to report back to you on the findings there. I went to Borion, having heard of that island and its idiosyncrasies. It was a longish journey across the water but by now I got used to that form of travel. Along was Sharleen, who you know well by now, and quite some who I haven't encountered so far. Most of them fought quite valiantly when we had to fight, though Semortis appears to me rather short-sighted. Ms Greatoven, who was not part of the expedition, but who seems to be quite friendly, was supplying us with some food for our journey there. Regardless, we arrived on that island and after holding a ritual for the spirits I had a quick talk with the captain who basically could not give me any meaningful information, quite what I have learned to expect from officials of the empire, especially the iron fist. The job we had signed up for concerned a temple that seems to cause people that intend to enter it to turn around and that only one party had entered and returned from so far, and Sharleen was part of that party. Thus she was leading the way and we followed her north. This all went rather uneventful until we ran into a man sitting on the floor of a small hill, meditation. We thought to not disturb the man however, when we tried to pass he summoned some magical circles and seemed to be agitated,  apparently he is guarding the area and tasked with not letting anyone pass, but noone of us was able to understand what he was saying, though he was rather short on words. Pyrrah, a member of the white horse company of haven, of which you have met some people so far, started weaving a ritual that lets her understand any language, a rather useful spell I may say. This is how we learned that this area is not to be passed for now, though the man was not very specific on what he expects or why... even the imperials seem helpful and forthcoming in comparison to that individual. We tried to talk to him in various languages, but to no avail and one of our party members, I think it was Brok, tried to sneak by, which caused to aggravate said man. In the end I could convince the party to just walk around that man, as he was blocking the way to the west and Sharleen had pointed us north.  ( a visible break in the writing appears and a ink of slightly different colour is used to continue as this part was apparently written at another day) We arrived in the evening at a cave and set out for camp. I had noted so far that most of the place looked rather arid, not many trees and vegetation which saddened me a bit, but also little wildlife to my notice. The area seems to be not that fruitful and I wonder what the empire is hoping to find there... Is it just to rule and conquer? The "white emperor" as he calls himself intended to make people believe that this is not their way anymore, but I hardly can think of a reason for them to stay, what do they gain by doing so? Before we went to sleep Pyrrah and me checked the area around the cave for poison and things touched by the dwemmor, we actually saw a piece of rock close to the cave which did appear to be magical but we could not read entirely its purpose or meaning and after trying to figure it out and failing we decided to leave it for the morning. A mistake, to some regard, as during the night as someone kept watch I was woken up to see an earth elemental standing at the entrance. The earth was trembling under its weight but luckily for us it was trying to reach Pyrrah's little bat that was hanging on the entrance and thus gave us time to wake up and prepare ourselves for whatever would follow. Sharleen, always ready for battle, put herself between us and that being, however, it moved forward, its gaze stared at the backside of the cave and it rumbled. The stones moved and suddenly two more of these creatures formed behind us. We were surrounded and caught, as one might say, between a rock and a hard place. The spirits granted me to shape into a rock being myself and thus I tried to catch the attention of the two things in the back, that looked exactly like a copy of what we had seen at the entrance, so that the rest of the party might be protected. Too many have fallen in my past journeys and this time I managed to make sure that noone else died, although the price still was high. Alas, not that night though. As Sharleen swung her sword and others rained their arrows and dwemmor on the being at the entrance and two others joined me in engaging the two beings in the back, Sharleen took a good cleave and swung Shaldinaris right through it making it crumble in front of its might. She might be the one destined after all as the stories you told us can be seen to hint at....  The metal on stone rang one last time as she did so, as also the other beings started to crumble. We looked again around and the stone we had noticed before we went to sleep had changed and thus I assume it was the source of these beings... Sharleen took it into her bag and we went back to rest, which was needed at least from my side. We woke up the next day and after eating and discussing our situation and plan a bit and Sharleen sharing whatever she remembered of her last venture there we continued to head towards the entrance of this temple. In retrospective I call it blasphemy to name such a thing a temple and if the empire is as might as they claim they shall eradicate the whole building and everything inside by either flooding it or tearing down the place... (part 2) (a new page stars that still has on it the smell of bakery and also some smudges of fat on the paper) We woke up and made our way to the temple entrance. Since Sharleen had informed us that some dwemmor will try to turn us away we braced ourselves and tied us to each other. We approached the entranced and something tried to force itself into my mind, flashes of my home, flashes of having to deal with the orcs, the blackspire flashes of Tannyll and me having tea and going back there, even flashes of me needing to talk to you Thalidd, appeared to convince me of turning around and following those urges. The rope moved onward though and thus pulled me back and I managed to see through the magic, as did all of our party, except one. We quickly pulled him our way and into the temple and the magic faded, what was left was a seemingly unending corridor in front of us. So vast was it, that for a moment we thought we had lost some of our companions, focused on glaring into the dark and even after moving on from time to time we had to wait for someone to catch up as the vastness caused them to fall behind. One of my fellow adventurers, I don’t recall who it was, told us to always hug the right wall, this way we would never get lost. We heeded the advice, as we all deemed it reasonable. My task was it to look for traps and Pyrrah joined me in that endeavour, while the others kept their eyes out for anything moving in the distance, though her focus was on looking for traps based on dwemmor. And by Kron, did she find those. No even 10 minutes had we walked when she noticed something of dwemmor ahead and notified us of an ocean of magical circles on the floor and on the walls, basically everywhere, of which some might be traps whereas others be harmless, though which were which was a hard task to identify. She also noticed a mirror up ahead engulfed in dwemmor and thus we walked ahead just to find one of us stepping into one of the traps and a blast of energy engulfing them leaving them rattled for a moment and looking rather beaten and blasted. Seeing that, and having read of a recent group of adventurers encountering a mirror that was creating a mirror image of them, I strongly advised against entering the area of the mirror and to just pass it by. Pyrrah was not sure whether that was the right thing to do but in the end we all agreed. Just having seen a trap injuring one of our companions not only I was convinced that this would be the next one. We moved on, now taking special precaution to not step onto another one of those circle traps. Our walk had brought us north, then east, south again and then again east. We reached a corner of the hallway as Pyrrah and Dain both noticed some dwemmor coming from within a room ahead of us. So far we must have walked along the outer wall of this ruin since this was the first room we actually found that was on the southern wall or the eastern wall. Counselling what to do, we in the end decided to have Sharleen take a look and the others be behind her in case she should needed aid. She peeked into the room and then told us about some humanoid creatures warped in void energy. Not knowing what it was, we decided to at least give them a chance to talk, thus Sharleen went in, pushing herself around the corner, shouting “Friend or foe?” The creatures looked at her and while she moved towards them, hand on the hilt, they started coming at her, weapons blazing and swinging with frenzy and might. Shaldinaris met the blades mid air as they tried to force their way into Sharleen’s body, pulsing with that energy of emptiness, but Shaldinaris prevailed. Their attacks were caught and then it was her turn, and you know her might Thalidd, for that she is. A few slashes and a bit of help of us and the first creature had lost its head and we started rushing for the 2 nd one. I looked at the body of the just beheaded and noticed that the dwemmor that had been clinging onto it was fading, dripping away, leaving the headless corpse of a human behind. “Keep one alive! They’re human!” I called, “ Hold your fire!” Sharleen exclaimed, but our words fell onto deaf ears in Semortis’ case, mercilessly he pulled the string of his bow and the arrow pierced through the creatures head, taking all life from it. Sharleen and I were both enraged at such numbness and cold bloodedness, and while I saw that the body must have been dead before it got possessed by this foam of void, Sharleen picked him by the buttons, lifting him 2 feet above the ground. “If I tell you to hold your fire, you will hold your fire.” Whether he agreed or not, there was later no opportunity to find out, though as much as I agree with the wielder of Shaldinaris in this situation, I am a bit concerned… What will happen if I disagree with her? If she is blind for some reason and not even Shaldinaris can guide her, will she resort to violence to force her side onto others? I hope it will never come to this, and yes, I know you have high words for her, Thalidd, and so far she has done our people a lot of favours, but … What do I say, after all you were the one that taught me to always be weary of everyone’s words and their possible changes of heart. Regardless of this criticism, Shaldinaris did not fail us and whenever a trap was near, Sharleen would be aware of it by a humming. Now, both Pyrrah and I focused on these treacherous writings we had encounter, however, I must have missed one as I went barely 10 feet ahead towards the north and fell unconscious. Not even the blast I can remember, just a flash of light and the immediate darkness, that strongly was I hit. A dreary feeling in the stomach after my companions got my up remained, and a doubt in my mind whether going here in this realm was at all a good idea, but the spirits were whaling, the imbalance was too strong. Still, I am uncertain that what we did helped restore it in any way… Moving on we found more traps, some by seeing them, others by someone triggering them… Dain got caught by chains that wrapped around his limbs and pulled him into the middle of the room, tearing on his extremities. I can’t even remember how many traps we passed and how many we did stumble into. 8?10?15? More... We moved back towards west and arrived at the extension of the entrance corridor. Should we continue Should we go outside and do something else? We decided to pressure on, again along the wall to the right, further north. Another corner appeared, and we saw some makeshift barricades. Peering through them revealed a huge pile of undead looking creatures. We readied ourselves for the removal of the barricade and I called upon the moon to burn the foulness away. The light hit the bodies of the creatures and their flesh started to scorch. At the same time Pyrrah summoned a knife of ice and hurled it into the pile and soon all of them were properly dead, no longer moving between the two worlds. East again, another barricade, this one made more elaborate, and then north… We looked and we saw what Sharleen had described to us as a Void elemental. This was, what we had prepared ourselves for. We got into position and started firing, yet… This was not like Sharleen had described it, the immense blue sphere vanished and while we were looking around trying to figure out what happened, it appeared behind us, ramming itself against Brok and Valtyr. Chaos descended with this elemental, Sharleen charged towards it, Shaldinaris blazing, we moved away and I called to the spirits to attack it, yet, the earth spirit formed and got soaked into the sphere, leaving me in disbelieve. Valtyr went down, Semortis went down, then Pyrrah, I believe Dain as well. Or was it Brok? Or Both? I can’t recall, my memory of this part is somewhat faded… (another paper and another tap of fingers not properly cleaned of fat on the paper) Valtyr lost his other hand, Pyrrah pulled him away and her foot got consumed by the ball of nothingness. While we were looking in horror at what happened, a voice started booming through the hallway. “ The void shall burn asunder” is, what I think it said… Anger started to rise in me. Why would anyone create such a thing? Why could anyone be falling so far? Anger came over me… We continued hitting the Sphere and finally it crumbled. (part 3 incoming) Still hearing the laughter in my head, Sharleen and me ran after it. This temple will only be cleared if this mad person is brought to justice. We ran further north into the corridor, hoping to catch sight of whoever the source of the shouting was, but we did move barely 50 feet when Sharleen looked concerned at her sword and called: “STOP” I turned around to stop, yet in my run could not halt as fast as her, I turned to stop in front of her, wanting to ask her “What is the matter?” but my right foot slid just a few inches to far. Zap! Another intense flash of pain and light. I awoke, and my companions were pulling me away, Dain was looking at the wound, but there was nothing to do for him, my right leg… gone… it was just gone, including half of my thigh… I had seen nothing on the floor, yet Sharleen told me later that Shaldinaris had warned her foul magics close by. But … I didn’t even feel the pain at first… just disbelieve. Again, my arrogance and naiveness has cost dearly, but this time at lest it costed me and not others. We had seen traps before and obviously this creature, whatever it is, was only trying to lure us into our demise… Had I only taken up one of my temporary forms, my leg would still be there, I reckon… but I didn’t… This all happened by now two weeks ago, dear Thalidd, and I know you will say I shall search out the service of Kron. But as you know I did what we all do, hold up the day of Kron, but never gave him any extra attention. Going there now and demanding when I was not caring before… it sounds quite self obsessed and arrogant. But then again? Who am I to take this decision instead of him? Who knows the mind and the way of a being like Kron, a god in his own right? I might be going there, at some point, for now I am resting and there are still all these people that I have to teach… The others claimed that they found a hidden hallway where the blue sphere had appeared, they did not inspect it further though and neither what was behind the more well made barricades. Generally they were silent at first. At one point Sharleen though mentioned to me… “What are you? What is it with you? You were engulfed by these flames, then you vanished, then you reshaped out of Myst and dropped onto the floor, looking like you are now...” I do not know what she is referring to, there are no memories of what happened after I turned to her and before I woke up. But if what she says is true, perhaps the spirits aided me even beyond my knowledge and beyond my naive recklessness. It seems, I have to continue my work. I will return home in some days after I have gathered myself. As its absence is hurting me, my leg seems to hurt my body even while not here. A strange thing I cannot understand, but perhaps Tannyll can give me answers to that. I haven’t spoken to her for too long… All these announcements seem somewhat strange, considering that I might have to hand in this not personally to you Thalidd, and thus everything in here seems somewhat bizarre… However, even if I were to have only a wooden leg, I still stand by my oath of getting rid of what is causing the problem of Orcs for our home, this I swear, again, Thalidd. May the spirits guide you and watch over you. Your loyal servant, Kroasi PS: Please warn everyone to not go to this place, it is absurdly deadly and we should find a way to make the temple collapse from the outside. I was told that some of the traps did even stay active after they got triggered, thus even finding a way to trigger them cannot save you!

Seeing how the fists refuse payment Kroasi whispers to Sharleen and then hands out everyone of the other adventurers 20gold in front of the tent of the iron fist. "You did do the work you were asked to do, and I will not have it that you go without payment. It might take me some time but I will see that you shall receive additional reward than what was given to you today." With that she looks disappointed and annoyed at the Captain and turns away, almost stumbling as she is still trying to set a foot where there is none.

Session 95: The Enemy Within Fritz level 3 wizard2/cleric1 (Sam D S) Viktor Mythweave, Human, Fighter lvl 2 (Chris) Semortis, Human, Fighter/Rogue lvl 2 (Sam) Ashara Elderglean, High Elf, Wizard lvl 2 (Sam) Haraldr, Human, Rogue 1/Fighter 1 (Wolf R I.) Dark Salazar, Moredhel rogue, level 2 (which Hunter) Weasel, Human, level 3 rogue (Sanders) I Haraldr the best archer in Maladon (in hitting) writes this report to the companies and houses of Haven that i may concern. The start of this report takes place at the 19th of Shiel and ends the 28th of Shiel. Our location of our mission in Borian with a party of 6 Members from various companies. 19th of Shiel: Shortly after being introduced into the Red Dragon Brigade i was told of a mission that was taking off in like an hour. After touching the statue of the Monjour Tester he told me to go to a Tipsy Mermaid. after talking with some local and learning it was not actually a person i was guided to the boat that was going to take us to our mission area. One by one my unknown companions showed up and there was a small argument about who owned the ship. Nothing of note happened on the two days we spend on the ship. 21st of Shiel: We took Landfall in the mysterious place of Borian. The first thing we was greeted with was a camp belonging to the Iron fist. I heard rumors they were a bunch of arrogant nobles and knights. Unknown to me at the time we had a side objective, We met a man who seemed to be very skilled in the game of dice but not quite the same when it came to cards. Monsieur Weasel and Monsieur Salazar assisted my in playing with Monsieur Lucky. After beating Monsieur Lucky in a game of cards he came back and win plenty of money from our less skillful Monsieurs. Walking back and forth for a moment while Monsieur Weasel was suspicious of foul play we engaged in a dialogue with Monsieur Lucky and found out his reason to why he was here. A gem he claimed was stolen by one of the Iron Brigades soldiers. We took off in the search of this soldier and it didn't take long for us to find him. The soldier and his friends was out drinking when me and Monsieur Weasel decided to join them for some talk. Seems like the self-proclaimed bustards of the Iron brigade aren't all as rumored. Aside from a disruption from Monsieur Salazar to come update us on our guest i was with the Soldier for a while. Monsieur Weasel had walked off half an hour before the Soldiers and his friends also retired. I spend some time looking for my companions before i finally found them at the captain of the camps tent. It seems that Le companions~ had managed to persuaded The Soldier... or perhaps Monsieur Lucky himself to leave. I can't say... i did not ask but the mission was completed. The very same they Monsieur Coward also known as Monsieur Semortis took a boat back to Haven as he seemed to finally understand our main mission on this island. We spend some time in the camp waiting for the replacement for our diplomatic mission. 23rd of Shiel: Our replacement had arrived. A Lady Glean, she seemed like the nervous and shy type so i with my charm quickly found out that she was indeed our replacement much to my own liking. The lack of Ladies in our party and... this camp was sore for a man's eyes. We started out on our Journey to our destination which seemed to only be known to but a few members of our group. I didn't ask as they seemed to do the leading well enough by themselves. We spend all the day walking until we came upon a cave which seemed to have been reported in other reports according to Mademoiselle Glean. We decided to spend our night here and Monsieur Fritz promptly made some earth defenses in front of our cave, I didn't say it.. but i made me feel quite saver than usual. Sadly such defenses would not help us as we seemingly had an event that night involving our great earthmover Fritz himself. I was very asleep when it happened but hearing bitz and pieces i got to know that apparently there was some music being played outside our cave which seemed irresistible to Monsieur Fritz. Finding him to be tied up on the morning was not what i was expecting. 24th of Shiel: After checking upon our earth moving friend to check if he was himself we moved out again determined to hit our objective today. We went to a nearby area to the cave and found a warning written in Sylvan. This old man's mind does no longer remember the wording exactly but I do remember the word "trespassers". Giving mademoiselle Glean some time to research this ruins before moving on. Later on the day we arrived on a bridge that was protected by a floating orb. Our earth mover Fritz talked to this orb and granted himself and me passage through what seemed as a open and not danger looking gate. The gate flickered slightly to life as i passed through it.. clearly seeing my potential a great being with great potential. It was a minor halt but Monsieur Fritz got the rest through. I do like to also point at that after this passing Monsieur Fritz was quiet for a while.. before uttering phrases with rhymes. An odd game to be playing but i happily joined in. much to my disappointment no one else played with us. At a later time we arrived at a hot and melty place with lava. There was a huge obelisk with the sign of a snake on it. After Mademoiselle Glean made us a bridge... a bird flew right into the obelisk and was obliterated at contact. Then for some reason beyond me Monsieur Fritz decided to go touch the statue and... he turned into a fireball and passed out. after feeding him a Goodberry he came to again but not quite himself. I overheard him claiming to be on fire... Poor Soul he was, but then his tattoo started to move, clearly possessed by a devil! I urged our party multiple times as we moved forward not to bring with us a daemon possessed man on an diplomatic mission... it would surely only backfire at us with such an unstable element. As much as the party denied such reasonable logic it would take the night to convince them that i was right. During the night where we camped outside at a nice tree stump... Monsieur Fritz was possessed and attack Monsieur Viktor. We managed to put him down and more or less put him out of action without killing the poor host. Finding it somewhat hard to sleep after that we still came to the next morning. 25th of Shiel: In the morning it seemed that a marking on Monsieur Viktor shield had taken Mademoiselle Glean's attention. There was some symbols on the shield but they might have been there all along to my knowledge as i had not studied his shield. After discussing what to do next my argument from the day before was finally reasonable to the rest as well. We turned and started to head back to the Iron Brigades camp. Spending our time walking past the obelisk and the bridge with the gate. Spending the entire day on the way back nothing of note happened. 26th of shiel: We are arrive back in the Iron Brigades camp and with just a minor issue to who we have Monjour Fritz bonded we get on our boat back to haven... arriving here at the 28th of Shiel. -Haraldr The Archer

Session 96: Of Shapeshifters and Scent 3 rd to 9 th of Mittern Udrin; Dwarf Wizard, lvl 1 (Peter) Dain; Dwarf Cleric, lvl 3 (luchie) Rath Dragonborn Sorcerer, lvl 4 (Mark) Lux; Human Rogue, lvl 5 (Taleek) Boris; Half-Orc Barbarian/Monk, lvl 4 (Seraphina) Thamior; Dark Elf Rogue, lvl 2 (VRH) Fangron; Human Wizard, lvl 3 (SlothSlow) I except this mission to be desribed from more angles than the weekend brawl in the Tipsy Mermaid so i will make it a guide for whoever inveitably ventures there next. On our journey we traveled by boat along the coast until we got to a huge estuarie easily a mile wide north of the forest of shadows. We rowed for most of the day up river, and if you plan to do the same. -You will find it impossible to stay in the middle of the river, the current is too strong. -Follow the south bank, that is the side of the river you are getting off on when you get there. -Be on the lookout for tree trunks, there are several, some larger than a large rowboat floating down the river. Once ashore in Volkenvale its a good idea to walk a bit inland, (after dragging your rowboat ashore mind you...) as insects commonly carry diseases, you avoid these insects by avoiding anywhere moist, marshes and ponds primarily. Should be easy for anyone with any knowledge of nature to discern this. Anyway... not far inlands you find a cave, it is very well hidden but there are things you can do to know you are in the right place. -The area surrounding it you will find trees that has been cut down, a year or so ago. -it is in a cliffside immediately following a natural rock bridge over a small river if you are heading South. -Finally its right next to the ruins of an imperial building and a mine shaft, Dain informed me it had a faint glow of divine radiance, most likely from a statue of the emperors father. -Inside the cave you will find it a quite large oval shape with pelts on the floor and a stack of wood easily taller than a man inside. This brings me to what became of the lost imperial colony in Volkenvale. They turned into a race of shapeshifters, by choice. Wolf shapeshifters to be exact, and there are two types. The ones with a hide collar and a onyx tied into it. Then there's the ones without, these are actually capable of turning back to a humanoid shape, i never saw the collared ones do that despite killing several of them, be warned they are stronger than most wolves i've encountered. Finally, to wrap up what i know before i start on what i think there's Whitetail. The only wolf i saw ever enter the cave, he also told me that while you are safe from the wolves in there you are not safe from anything but the elves and i am almost certain there are undead in the monastery we were tasked with evaluating the state of. Whitetail also really loves cheese, so bring some of that and im sure he wont mind you crashing in his cave. The collared black wolves cannot be reasoned with, the un-collared, white wolves cannot be reasoned with either. But at least they told us that if anyone else but whitemane (Boris, they gave him a pelt. We assume the stink makes gives them a friendly disposition...) came back they would eat them. Then onto all the things we learned but i am unable to really explain any further. -Whitetail mentioned a "City of Glass", and it had something to do with collaring and controlling the black wolves. Udrin tells me the City of Glass is a place of the Sithi, and that it lies in the forest of shadows. -He (it?) also mentioned that the things now in the monastery was rotten and didnt taste good, sounds like undead to me. They also mentioned something about things happening when the wolves bit the things in the monastery, so we might have undead wolves around. -Do not touch the black onyx on the collars, Fangron did and saw a vision of a man laughing at him, and had this foreboding sense he knew where we were. Then to make things really wierd, a huge pack of the white un-collared wolves showed up, yet they claim they are enemies with the black ones. I cannot decide the second pack had anything to do with Fangron touching the onyx.

Session 87: Milk & Alcohol (& Blood) Present: Jon Heron; Human Fighter, lvl 4 (Seraphina Leaf) Archer; Half-Elf Ranger, lvl 4 (Daniel B) Trarbon; Dwarf Cleric, lvl 4 (Glen) [Session Log] Dear Sir/Madam This here's a log of what transpired on the latest venture of yours truly, Jon Heron, as well as my temporary underlings, A right pair of cu Half-Elf and a Dwarf. The job we had was to go to a town called Toars Cross. There had been night disturbances occurring, as well as their cattle being sick. Our job was to go there and see if we could figure out what was wrong. I was sat in the Mermaid, minding my own, when the other two and Adolfo came over and told me I was off to work. Having partaken in only one or two mild drinks, I was escorted by the Half-Elf and Dwarf outside. Then they had the nerve to thwack a bucket of... something into my fuc  face. We headed towards Hesard's ford, which was near our destination according to the map. There was a body of water too deep for the Dwarf to cross. Next to the water was an old woman and a man. Had the look of a right c u on artist about them. After a bit of talking and money exchanging hands, the woman let out something the man clearly didn't want her to say. She said that their cattle was sick as well. Clearly the man was hiding something, probably stole the cattle, oh well not my problem which you might want to investigate at some point. Anyway, we paid for the Dwarf to be carried over - by the old woman strangely enough - and moved forward. We tried to find our way to Toars Cross. We couldn't. I berated the other two for fucking up I suggested we ask for directions. We attracted the attention of a local farmer passing by named Jacob, who offered to guide us to our destination. Jacob used his cow Bessy to find his way to Toars Cross, took three bloody hours. We walked into Toars Cross, a very small village of only four buildings. When we walked in, many of the villagers were gathered around a cornstone grinding grain underneath a canopy. We looked around for someone who could help. One man, named Tommas came out of his house, we told him we were there to investigate the disturbances and cattle. He led us into his house, and told us to sit around his dining table. We talked to Tommas about what had been happening recently, turns out disturbances happen mostly during full moons, and that when they happen, the cattle get bled, but not to the point of dying. We went down to see Tommas' oxen, inspected it but found nothing new. We heard a scuffle outside, we went out to inspect what was going on. The villagers brought forward an old woman to Tommas' house, claiming she was a witch and was responsible for their troubles. We interrogated the hag  old lady and discovered the woman was leaving a bowl of milk with a drop of blood in, and that this may have been warding her cattle from whatever was attacking. The Dwarf reckoned the threat was something called Vadonoia. No idea what that is. Tommas suggested the source of the problems may be a lightning stricken oak nearby. We decided to check out the oak when light arrived, as it was night. We sent off the villagers, after we had told them to shut the fuck up quelled their protests. Tommas let us sleep in his house, in the dining room, with the old woman joining us so we could keep an eye on her. Make sure the villagers don't fu mess her up. During that night, I was awoken by the old woman twitching in her sleep. Me, the Dwarf and the Half-Elf gathered around her in the dark. Her eyes glowed, this freaked me out. All of a sudden, she rose. I shouted 'What are you!' She didn't answer. She instead started walking to the window, like she was in a trance. I put my sword in front of her to stop her moving. She just brushed it inside like my sword arm was a feather, opened the blinds and jumped out before we could think of doing anything else. She started running away. I quickly ran to the door, and yelled out to wake the villagers, "She''s running away! You were right! Witch!" We and many of the villagers gave chase, though she was too fast, and seeming as we couldn't track her efficiently in the dark, we decided to wait until morning to try and track her. Before going back to sleep, we inspected her cattle and pigs, finding nothing of interest, then searched her house. The Dwarf tried to detect if there was any magic in her house, and stumbled upon what we figured out was a Sithi stone. The following day after resting, we went to track the old woman. Every now and again, we discovered new tracks going alongside hers, until there were four sets of tracks on the same path. The tracks led to a gorge, which they got across by merely jumping. Twenty feet wide this gorge was. Fucking mental.  Very troubling. We moved a downed tree over the gap to form a bridge and continued tracking. Two more tracks had joined in by the point we saw where they were headed; The forest of Shadows. The Half-Elf and Dwarf informed me about the Sithi and what had happened when the went into the 'Vault of Stars.' Yeah, we didn't continue forward. I don't get paid enough for that shit. More people would be needed for such a mission. We returned to Toars Cross, informed the villagers of what had happened and that we were to leave. We took the Sithi stone out of the village. Heated it up, cooled it down, repeat, quickly, repeat, then smashed the stone into pieces. We then returned to Haven. (No, we didn't get lost again) We've received word since then, that the cattle are still sick but getting better, and that the disturbances only happen during full moons now as apposed to merely mostly. Well, it's an improvement at least. Yours sincerely (honest), Jon Heron P.S. Don't ever tell me to be all fucking official ever again ya cunt. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Session 91: The Rebirth of Seahold Present: Ffiona; Human Ranger, lvl 5 (Seraphina Leaf) Tarville; Human Fighter, lvl 4 (Jon R) Archer; Half-Elf Ranger, lvl 4 (Daniel B) Desna; Ashanni Elf Druid, lvl 4 (Pippa B) Dear Linny, On a very storm eve, I was watching over Tarville, to make sure he was okay without bothering him. He had returned to Haven for the first time in a while, as far as I know.  He walked into the Tipsy Mermaid, and started discussing with Adolfo something about a job concerning making sure certain places on mainland Maladon were secure for the White emperor. Adolfo then beckoned Archer and Desna to join the mission. I waited until Tarville said 'Where's the faun?' before making my entrance. You know I like making a show. We decided to leave in the morning due to the storm, and so we all went off to run errands and whatnot. I think Archer and Desna stayed at the Mermaid to enjoy their evening. I don't know where Tarville went. I would've followed him, but I hadn't visited the Veiled One in a while. On the way there while in the burrow, I handed out to several beggars and kiddies the rest of the gold I was given for escorting Vedinia and the others to the veil. I always feel better after doing that, for many reasons as you know. I then made my way to the Veiled One, and slept beside her. During the night, I had a vision. A vision of a blonde lady standing at a window, I think overseeing an army, with Hunter's Inn nearby. She was facing the window at first, but then turned towards me, she appeared to look straight at me, dark shadows covered her face as if she were covered in sickness. Her eyes appeared to be filled with fire, staring at me, she said "come to me." That's when I woke. I didn't get much sleep the rest of the night. Why can't you be here to help me, love. By the time morning had come, the storm had gone, and I made my way back to the Tipsy Mermaid to meet up with the others. We gathered in a room inside. Tarville brought up a plan to, instead of merely securing a location for the Emperor, set up a hold of sorts that we could use as a hub further into the mainland of Maladon. Adolfo mentioned an hold considered abandoned called Seahold, complete with tower, north of Haven on the mainland. Tarville put forth a down payment of several hundred gold to get people involved and hire a ship to get there. A few days later, Adolfo had secured a vessel and crew to transport us, as well as labourers for rebuilding Seahold. I was called upon to gather the others to set sail. Towards the end of our voyage as we approached the shore, we spotted the tower of Seahold. Tarville asked the ship's captain if there was an artist aboard. The captain said there was, and brought him forth. Tarville asked the artist to draw him standing at the front of the ship with his sword held aloft to the sky. Then, he mentioned something about self promotion to Archer. We reached the shore and found the tower was uninhabited, and began restoring and rebuilding the hold. We've brought along 60 labourers to work on it, and have already assigned roles in the reconstruction. I've been put in charge of the stables, the livestock and the hunters. Tarville made Crothwid, the cook of the ship that transported us, his Steward. One morning while I was in the stables directing the builders, Archer and a few other hunters were out scouting the area. While out there Archer discovered some Ashanni footprints. Archer immediately sent a scout back to the hold to get the groups input on the matter. Tarville, Desna and I made our way to Archer, and discussed the tracks. I deduced, it was probably a meeting place between more than one Ashanni tribe. As we discussing what we should do about these tracks, we heard the war horn of Seahold being blown. We rushed back to the hold, panicking about what could have happened. Prepared for the worst, we arrived back to see an Ashanni tribe standing outside the hold. We approached them, and Tarville set up a meeting with the Ashanni tribe. We met with the Elder, who identified himself as Tapar of the Tribe of the White Feather. He mentioned an old oath that the tribe used to have with the Empire. I'm not sure the specifics of the oath, but it involved trading and generally helping the other. Which I'm on board with. Tarville announced a feast would take place that eve, in celebration of the renewed bond between the two cultures. We continued talking to Tapar, asking questions as to how we could help each other out. The Elder has agreed for Desna to be taught how to read and write in Ashanni, though not to speak it, as it wouldn't be too helpful, as there are a lot of differing dialects in terms of speech. There's two written dialects for the Ashanni however, so long as long as we stick to the northern parts of Maladon, Desna will be able to read Ashanni. Yay! We also discussed a tribe of Ashanni to the north called the Blackroot, who are bad news according to Tapar. Apparently the Blackroot (Ashanni Bad) also worship the Wyrm; Sklar. That's not good news at all, obviously. We'll have to be wary of them, and learn where their territories are. They don't take kindly to strangers in their territory and it'd best to avoid confronting them, given how tough Tapar says they are.  We asked Tapar if there were any threats we could deal with to help strengthen the new alliance of sorts. He mentioned a thousand dog people, stood upright, known as Gnar, migrating to this area within the year. The reason for the Gnar coming here, was that they follow a particular horde of antelope when they migrate. Tapar didn't know why the antelope were coming here, as this was far from their usual location. Something must be driving them from their land, but what?... Oh, also Archer's bow of illusion he found in the Fane of Arsha is Ashanni. Apparently, the Ashanni's weaponry is all spirit based. Very interesting. Anyway, we're all now helping prep for the feast, so I better end the letter now. I wish you could see the hold Linny. It's wonderful seeing people work together to build something of themselves as well as others. Open your arms and welcome Li'kin into your new home A serene sight to behold The reborn light of Seahold. May al-- Sorry, I'll reserve poetry for those other letters. Love, Ffiona xx

Session 96: Another meeting with wolf's Udrin; Dwarf Wizard, lvl 1 (Peter) Dain; Dwarf Cleric, lvl 3 (luchie) Rath; Dragonborn Sorcerer, lvl 4 (Mark) Lux; Human Rogue, lvl 5 (Taleek) Boris; Half-Orc Barbarian/Monk, lvl 4 (Seraphina) Thamior; Dark Elf Rogue, lvl 2 (VRH) Fangron; Human Wizard, lvl 3 (SlothSlow) first of all it seems like where ever i go, i meets a pack of wolf's of any kind. might just be fate. but enough of that.  the mission at hand was quite easy check out encampments that can be restored or raze them to the ground so it can not be used from bandits and mosters.  we gather a small party of 7,  the ship we was going was not in the best shape at all, looks like it would sink anytime now.  We tok some time investigate  some info about thanatos, goros and Lord galvinus at the libery.  after  Lux  and Thamior did some card and dice game, seems like Lux is cheating, but thats nothing new, even tok some coins from the crew we was gona sail with.  they carved some nice picture of ways to kill Lux.  Since the wind is not in our favor at this time of the year its a long trip north, me and Boris tok the time for a drinking game,  Boyh! was i close to lose to an halforc... barly won but he has my respect. Urdin this poor fellow Dwarf, lets just say hes not very fond at being at sea.  after a long time at sea  we came to our destination.  captain learned quickly that it was not safe to be at the end of the mouth of this river as big tree chunks was keeping racing down the river. so they found a little nice place to be. ( marks on map ). When going up river stay clear from the middle as the stream / current  is very strong. but have a look out for staying clear of  the trunks that keeps floating down river. we also passed a small encampment ( marks on map )  that might be of interest. longer up we decided to cross the river with the boat and decided to go inland since as the dark was just around the corner.  stay clear of anywhere moisty, marshes and ponds as insects commonly carry diseases, you avoid these insects by avoiding these. Should be easy for anyone with any knowledge of nature to discern this. The night came sudden as it do in Maladon, not long before we rested we was attack by 9 wolfs! we managed to kill em due to Boris tanking several of them, lux was hiding under his tent. wast much helpfull that one... we found out that they had colars with black onyxes, one of us touched them, and he found himself looking at a old man luaghingat him. as he knew where we where.   later we was attack my a pack of 20 wolfs!  shapeshifer to be more correct.  they told us they didt want to be part of the empire anymore and we shuld leav and never come back.  we walked over a bridge,  and found this cave, it seemed safe as the wolf pack never entered to kill our companions that was hiding there.  i found this statue was probably an Imperial deity that once protected the house or rather a shrine dedicated to an Imperial Deity (marks this on map) some how when i turned around the party was talking to a guy name whitetail or something he love chees, he agreed to show us to a cave for chees. we also found this tin mine near this statue, that should be great for our empire   we should form a diplomatic relationship with these shapeshifters or clear them out.  and rebuild  this temple.  Whitetail said that the wolfs with collar on them getting controlled.  something about city of glass, servant of thanatos or so.  seems like its undead or alike t here, since the meat do not taste good.  in the forest of shadow where no light shine. ill be joining another group there, ill send another report in the following week or so.  Dain of Fireforge  (sendt to black lion, red dragon and  Sun )

Session 95: Three's a crowd. Fritz level 3 wizard2/cleric1 (Sam D S) Viktor Mythweave, Human, Fighter lvl 2 (Chris) Semortis, Human, Fighter/Rogue lvl 2 (Sam) Ashara Elderglean, High Elf, Wizard lvl 2 (Sam) Haraldr, Human, Rogue 1/Fighter 1 (Wolf R I.) Dark Salazar, Moredhel rogue, level 2 (which Hunter) Weasel, Human, level 3 rogue (Sanders) Fritz Igor's notes on Borian: Second Entry. Copies forwarded to the Iron Fists and White Horses. (written in a shaky hand) In the time since my previous report I have found myself struggling to think of anything but the city beneath the lake in Borian. It seemed that no day would pass without me travelling to the boat that ferried me there, entirely subconsciously. On one of these days it just so happens that a group had amassed in pursuit of some sort of job offered by The Iron Fist, seemingly a continuation of my original task. Upon hearing this I could not help but volunteer myself for this undertaking. Our trip to Borian was just as uneventful as last time and when we arrived we saw a similar scene to our previous excursion. We needed to wait until sunrise before setting out on our quest so we decided to occupy ourselves with another task on the Iron Fist job board. The gambler was in his usual spot taking money from the gathered soldiers much to their displeasure. Weasel, a member of our party approached the man and challenged him to several games. I offered to cover the costs of some of these in an attempt to further study the magic this man employed and discovered they were a divination based spell set somewhat similar to my own as well as the ability to alter fate. Even trying to counter his abilities with my own he still bested those who attempted to play him at dice. After some discussion we discovered the gambler 'Lucky' as my unknowing compatriots named him, was in the camp in search of a gem in the possession of a soldier within the ranks of the Iron Fist stationed there. We made a deal for Lucky to leave the camp if we procured the gem for him. Lucky's description of the stone resonated with me and I recognised it as (handwriting becomes illegible) beneath the lake. I somehow knew exactly where to find the gem and we swiftly obtained the stone we sort. Weasel was in fact the one to retrieve it and handed it to me when he returned it hummed in my hand and I had a strange feeling come over me but thought nothing of it. When I tried to hand the prize back to Lucky he couldn't lift it, I thought he was tricking me to begin with but it was not budging at all. I assured him it was not my doing and even tipped my hand to try and rid myself of it but it remained affixed to my palm. Lucky seemed to be unhappy about this but decided this outcome also concluded his business in the camp. With this he left. We reported this to the Captain and received our reward. The next day we began travelling toward our mission. After a full days travel we set up camp in a cave to spend the night. During the night I began to hear a strange music, it was enthralling and I could not help but investigate it. My companions were not overly keen on this plan and intercepted me, quite understandably I might add. I didn't really see it that way at the time though, the music had charmed me somehow. Several attempts were made to restrain me but they failed and the crystal on my hand responded quite violently to this before sinking into my hand and merging itself with me. The music subsided after that and I felt fine. Ashara looked me over afterwards and discovered the tattoo on my neck which had changed since I last saw it, I can only assume it had something to do with the stone. The next day, we set off once more toward our objective. I had a short spell of only being able to speak in rhyme but chose to keep talking to a minimum during this period as I didn't want to cause any further concern for my already mistrusting companions. On our way to the city we stopped off at a spire that we had been able to see for a while, Ashara and I were both rather interested in researching the outcropping. Upon approaching we saw that the spire was covered in runes of all kinds of schools of magic and had scorched the land for miles in a path carved across Borian. Not one to let previous experience deter my pursuit of knowledge I investigated the obelisk. Upon reflection this may have been a mistake. I was instantly struck down with fire as runes leapt onto my arm. Next thing I knew Haraldr, an archer with a curious accent was standing over me looking confused. My arm seemed to be wreathed in some sort of illusionary fire, it sure felt real enough but no one else could see it. The pain was quite extraordinary but I didn't have time to properly study the effects as we needed to make haste toward our destination. It was also a comfort that I have been immolated on more than one occasion through one misunderstanding or another in the past and am quite used to that particular exquisite agony but I digress. We were close to our goal but needed to rest one more night and this is where things became unsettling... I heard a voice in my mind that woke me up, it said “Bless nothing, save nothing, create nothing. All shall be destroyed before your eyes.” which was concerning to say the least. When I regained consciousness I was in the process of recovering from an arrow to my heart which had apparently nearly killed me and a good job too. It appears that I had attacked my comrades in the night. We tried to continue our rest and I was apparently possessed once more, luckily this time I was heavily restrained and just conversed with Viktor, an interesting fellow and bestowed on him some sort of boon which enchanted his shield. I didn't know I was capable of such things. Viktor relayed to me that I am inhabbited by two beings known as Scuris (the murdery one) and Flurris, if these names mean anything to any of you I would be most interested to find out more. My fervent want to complete the mission had subsided at this point and we all agreed we should return before I was taken over again. My findings are a little disquieting to me and I request that I be turned over to the White Horses for further study. This isn't the introduction to the company I had hoped for but needs must. Fritz Igor.

Session 97: Monsters in the Monastery Present: Grigor Payne; Human Fighter, lvl 3 (Witch Hunter) Cain Immortui; Human Paladin, lvl 5 (Sloth) Jewels Baddarok; Dwarf Barbarian, lvl 3 (Zilarrezko) Dux; Half-Orc Paladin, lvl 3 (Jimmy) Ffiona; Human Ranger, lvl 5 (Seraphina) Dain; Dwarf Cleric, lvl 3 (luchie) Tarville Ironheart; Human Fighter, lvl 4 (Jon R) [Left just before arriving at the monastery] Thamior; Dark Elf Rogue, lvl 2 (VRH) [Joined us as we arrived at the monastery] A letter written by Cain to the adventurers; It is an ill day, Oswald has given me news of what seems to be a log speaking of an old monastery of the Solons lost long ago after the war. The other party has learned of undead in the area tainting it and that four of our avatars lie inside grasped by its taint. This is unacceptable just the thought sickens me. I call to you adventurers and brothers of Sol that I know of to aid me in this endeavor. It will not be an easy trek and certainly not an easy fight I hope to see those who join me soon.  Inventory and Sea Log When the others showed up some conversations where had including greetings and other formalities that need not apply but it was interesting meeting this Tarville person I have heard about. Quite an interesting fellow. A vision he had received showed possible skeletal undead and so I requisitioned the smiths for some bludgeoning weapons for the party including three throwing hammers a warhammer and twelve blunt headed arrows. Other preparations including a cask of holy water and some of the holy honey mixture and loading our horses upon the ship. Prayer was held by the devout to Sol for safety on the oncoming mission and so we set sail. A fine boat and captain for this adventure and me and another declined invitation to stay in the captains quarters as I find it rude to take someone's abode that does not belong to me. Otherwise the during the trip we had to make a small detour but everything else was uneventful and so we made our way to shore. We had the crew set up a base of operations on the shore for us to retreat to if the event ever called for it. Journey Log This land is quite swamp like and hard to traverse, trying to move normally your speed is slowed by around half in most areas although the lack of trees is quite nice as my familiar can spot anything in our way as there is not very much foliage to hide behind. As we were traveling we learned that the footing is even more treacherous than originally thought, Our lady Dwarf friend Jewls wandered off while we were eating and plummeted through a hole made by her weight when she stepped on an insecure area. Otherwise trying to pull her out of the hole was uneventful. Later in the day we discovered a small valley where on either side the heads of different animals were on display. Our ranger sensed the presence of undead within a mile of where we were and further north there was a sepulcher where if my deduction is correct is where the undead were likely lying and so we avoided this place as should other parties unless they aim to remove the taint from the area. After this we had gotten a bit lost heading north instead of eastward but used the opportunity to throw off any pursuers to cover our tracks with a spell and headed back to the correct path. When daylight was coming to a close we found refuge in an old tower that had broken down we spent some time conversing Jewles to some wildlife and went to rest. In the morning I was on my watch when a group of those hounds previously described happened upon us. They were wearing the gems and collars with blackened eyes and so we attacked them but to my confusion they spoke of a parlay and were confused about why we had attacked them. The hound looked me over then called a retreat once it perhaps saw my garb. At this point I was assured of what was going on we were the only boat to land north since the last expedition. This means that other men are there making friends with these foul hounds and my guess it is the Red Emperor. These beasts need to be stopped before they join the fight against us. Any who go up against them try to smash the amulet on their neck, when I tried this and woke the beasts up they seemed to have come back to their senses and spoke to us in Glarnic and Low Valmari. Helping these hounds may give us a new ally or at the very least weaken our enemy and strengthen a group fighting against them. Aside from this escapade during the night one of the hounds told us the way to the monastery and we made quick speed in the morning for it.  Account of the Monastery  We entered this foul place the stench of desecration ringing against my divine senses making my stomach lurch every moment I stood inside. We walked around the room to find no normal doors to travel through all barred off by silver chained doors abjuring against evil and an old message warning us of the dangers that lay inside saying that twenty Solons lost their lives trying to retake this place. I contemplated long and hard if we should proceed but my party assured me it was what they wished to do. I wish never to bring others into their doom solely upon my decision and was calmed when their fervor to continue. Our dwarves who knew much of stonework found a hidden door and a mechanism to open it. We all readied ourselves for what was to come and opened the door. The moment the door opened a fiery blast came out and hit our group fairly hard but it seems our preparedness worked out well as we managed to avoid most of the damage. Then after reacting to this a web came out at us catching Me, Grigor, and Dux in its grasp but Dux managed to close the door once again. Suddenly a Rune appeared in front of Grigor and he started to act strange as something was compelling him to try and make it to the lever to once again open the door. I barred him from moving the lever but he suddenly moved to one of the side doors held by the abjuration chain and broke it. Once this happens horrors started spewing out that we now had to fight a spectral figure that was the caster who sent the fireball our way. We whittled it down and it tried to escape I sadly did not get to see it but Ffiona made an expert shot taking the specter down. There was a variety of undead but the one that caught my eye was one that looked similar to what I had fought in the Vale pass on that terrible day and so with fervor I put all my strength into destroying the creature and was successful. The rest of the undead started to collapse one by one until the tomb was clear. The day had been won we searched the tomb and found some hidden room and the four avatars laying in rest. With us we bring the old wielder of Jadarel to return his weapon to him until another is found to wield it. I ask that the suns or another group return to gather up the other avatars quickly before something else finds it or the taint of the evil being there sets back in. I feel there is only a few months to do so.  Signed, Cain Immortui, Abbot of Swords

Session 97:  More of em! Present: Grigor Payne; Human Fighter, lvl 3 (Witch Hunter) Cain Immortui; Human Paladin, lvl 5 (Sloth) Jewels Baddarok; Dwarf Barbarian, lvl 3 (Zilarrezko) Dux; Half-Orc Paladin, lvl 3 (Jimmy) Ffiona; Human Ranger, lvl 5 (Seraphina) Dain; Dwarf Cleric, lvl 3 (luchie) Tarville Ironheart; Human Fighter, lvl 4 (Jon R) [Left just before arriving at the monastery] Thamior; Dark Elf Rogue, lvl 2 (VRH) [Joined us as we arrived at the monastery] it seems like we have a wolf problem, with these black onyx crystals, that have taken over the Wolfs. now that that is said, ill try to explain what happen when we returned. as some of us where in Haven at the point of being called to arm or so by afronzo?  barkeeper at the tipsy mermaid, who told us to go to tower of light  or was it castle of light, i am not sure. glad i had some one who knew where we was going as i just kept following them. We was met by an old person, he was glad that i liked the view, these coridors where i was walking, looking some alike dwarven made. anyhow, we met this fellow Cain who had summon us, to take another shot at getting closer to this Monastery,  there was a lot of talk and  by the look of it, what we talked about was not ment to leav this room, so i shall not tell.   We left in this big ship called the Red eagle if i remember the correct. tok us 4 days, as we was cought in a small storm on the way up. on the way up, the Captain showed us the old lighthouse with the 7 faces ( ? dont rememeber the name ) , most of the party salutet when we drove by. Cain asked the sailors to set up a small encampment of some sort in case we had to fall back. ( Marks on map where we had the camp ). Our speed was greatly reduces due to the terrain so we had to move less than half speed, at some point we found out due to Jewel that there was some caves under us as she fell true one. not very deep   so we got her up easly.  after a lot of walking we found this old town with what seemed a old watchtower, wich we decided to take our night here. we found these markings, Fiona said it was marking of summer  and safe.  so we assumed it was safe here in the summer. ( marks on map).   Later that night we was attack ! and you can guess what it is. More wolfs with the black onyx crystal, but this time it was gray wolfs.  when we was engaged in battle the pack leader ran up to Cain and asked why we attack them when it was parley of some sort in action.  the leader called of the attack once he saw it was not us they had made the pact with and called a retreat.  but we managed to catch 2 and kill one.  we then decided to break the onyx and see if they regained their old sens.  after we broke them  they did in fact regain their sens, so we had a little talk about them.  what we found out, that this was volk wolfs. he dont remember anything while under controll of the onyx gem.  the last thing he remember wasbefore or the start of the great war. and this might be bad news, for what he told us what ALL the wolfs, i tell you they where over 100 wolfs even more, enchanted by a song to some tree somewhere. this might have something with the old stone circle at the edge of the shadow forest.  so if you encounter these wolf, try not to kill them right away, try crush the gem! they might be some sort of ally for us at some point.  after that talk, we healed them and fed them before we let them go. We was  told to follow the river if we wanted to reach the monastery, that was very useful information we got from the wolf. did not take us long before we was at the monastery where we met up with my old friend thamior, we all was a little supprised to see him there so what we can say about that he is a great rogue.  Tarville had some urgent mathers to tend to so he had to go before we entered the monastery.   What i felt when we was walking down, was great evil, dark forces.  one thing i noticed all my healing was weak and when i was healing, could only heal for half what it was suposed to do.  we found  4 warded doors of some magic, i guess from the old suns or something. The ward kept the undead from running wild.  me and my fellow Jewel another Dwarf tok some time studying the walls before i noticed the statue, it seemed odd. after checking the statue i noticed this small draft of the wall. so i called jewels over to help take a look. we then found out that the statue had a glyph that could be taken out and turned to open the door. As we opened the door, the front line was engulfed in flames as a fireball of some sort just flew out of the hidden door. but as we somehow forsaw this we all was prepered  and it didt do much. after that some kind of Web that flew out, at that point we closed the door as the web was imobilesing our forces. Not long after a rune / glyph was infront of grigor and he was not the same, my guess he was mindcontrolled much like my command spell. just much more powerful. after awhile much failing fo Grigor trying to open the hidden door, he  disepared from my view and we all heard the chains broken as i asume Grigor hitted the chains. not long after Cain called us, he broke the chains.  as we all rushed to the door, keeping them there.  Was some sort of specter we killed, or so they said, might be a specter of thanatos? this i dont know.  after we killed this specter all the other undead started to crumble one after another,  we then found 4 avatar or so. bringing one of them back with us. me and my fellow dwarf  noticed the walls was some sort of magical metal or same metal that Cain sword was made of. this is something might worth alot of intrest as it kept the undead looked in here. after we searched the place, we found this hidden artifact that unlocked the treasure room.  was one thing that we all agreed on, this rune circle was holding something evil under it so a lot of different metal and spell circles. seemed to hold it in place. i would send a party to check this out. Cain told he will ask the suns to carry the last 3 avatar out and check this out. i do hope i get a reply on how this was handled  as this is something evil and must not be left alone. Dain of Fireforge. (sendt to red dragon and Sun )
Session 94: On the Hunt Participants: Artorias, Dragonborn, Fighter lvl 3 (Sam) Thorn Strongoak, Hill Dwarf, Mountain Druid lvl 3 (Alice) Sliske Arkentu, Human Warlock 1/Fighter 2 (Ernie) Sharleen, Human Barbarian lvl 5 (Taleek) Fangron, Human Wizard lvl 3 (SlothSlow) Tek Valorn, Human Fighter lvl 3 (Chris) To the Thalidd, Its Sharleen I figured I should write this to you because I felt just writing a normal report for the Iron Fists would be awful due to what happened that day, let me just take it from the top and just write this so I won’t haft to think about it once it’s in ink. This happened just after I had returned from Borian I’m sure Kroasi informed you on what happened there if you see her again before I can please let her know that if she needs it I can help her with whatever she may need. Anyway after I had returned I was immediately informed of another interesting job regarding another land known as Ardaal there were a couple of jobs the Iron Fists had posted but the one that had caught my eye was the one regarding the capture of a rather interesting elk with four horn, according to the post it was apparent that this Elk was magical somehow. So I took on the job and went straight to the Tipsy Mermaid to collect some Adventurers wanting to accompany me on this job. I can always count on that place to contain some interesting characters each time I come by because the group I gathered was very impressive to say the least, they seemed just as eager to head off for a hunt as I was…well for the most part anyway. Once I had given the details on what was to be done on the mission I grabbed my belongings and headed off to the dock to meet with the captain and await the rest of the group we hadn’t stayed the night at Haven you see because mostly I was set on getting the job done nice and quick so I could come back to Maladon to continue my other duties as I’m sure your aware of by now. So we arrived at Ardaal in what seemed like an okay trek from Haven, the camp there seemed like your average from the Iron Fist’s a good amount of soldiers guarding tents and what not, but as I spoke with the captain it had seemed that the person wanting the Elk was a member of the White Horses she claimed that she wanted to study the presumed magic of the creature…I mistakenly didn’t question her procedures during the chat…I mistake that I may regret for as long as I live now…but I will get to that. So after speaking with the Captain and receiving a bit of a crude map of the last known location of the elk we stayed in the camp till night and then began our trek…for we were warned on how harsh it was to travel by day and how stronger creatures were out around those times, nothing new for me but I was concerned about my group and decided it be best to travel with the group when it was safest. Ardaal seemed much more peaceful out in night almost calming even it was definitely a bigger change than the constant fear back in Maladon constantly…even so I kept on guard and led my team in hopes of searching for some form of elk, I learned that Thorn had the ability to speak with animals…he was a Druid and a very good one at that. I left the challenge of speaking with the Elks to Thorn but just in case I had also casted a spell to understand the creatures just in case I had to step in. After many trials of Elks running off and tracking we eventually learned a tad bit about the special elk thanks to another elk, she spoke of the special elk in ways that I would deduce the 4 horned elk was an alpha of sorts to the herd of elks, she also gave us a direction to where we may find this elk Thorn and I thanked her and we re-grouped and headed in the direction in hopes of finding this elk. We travelled for a bit until we eventually found what seemed to of been some sort of deep forest like area and from the amount of tracks leading to and fro the area we were sure that this would be the place where we would find the elk and figure out just what to do with it once we were sure it was magical. Thorn on multiple occasions had to try and sense out where the Elk may have been within the forest but it had seemed to of been moving in ways that we suspect that it may have been avoiding us…we came up with the idea of trying to pin point where its next destination could have been and made our way there to try and cut off the elk so we could confront it, as we went about doing this though we encountered a peculiar looking den of sorts…the size of it matching what could be a nice home for an obscenely large elk. I moved up for a closer look but was almost immediately mentally assaulted by some form of magic within the area. Luckily I was able to will the magic out of my head fearful of what the spell may of done to me…the last thing that needs to happen out there is if I am not in the right state of mind and am a danger to the party. I informed my group of what happened and asked for them to not come any closer until we were sure what sort of magic was at work here, Fangron a magic user of sorts was able to quickly deduce that the magic was within the area and on two of the totems as if guarding something inside…I came to the conclusion that this may be the home of the 4 horned elk and figured if it lived here surely it would come home for us to finally speak with it and figure out just what it did. So we camped out a bit away from the cabin for the day and once again waited for night. During our rests though one of my party members had informed me that elks were indeed watching us as we rested…but that was the least of our worries for something else came around during that day looking for a meal….some sort of yellow gelatin like creature slithered their way into our camp and attacked one even making its way into my tent luckily I was able to spring into action and fight…but as we eventually killed off the creatures I was shocked to find the Dragonborn, Artorias the warmth of life completely dead. It had seemed my effort to protect my allies were not good enough that day and I sadly took the belongings of him and burned the body…may Valshaldinaris honor him in the next life. Once we had finally finished our rest we packed up and set off thinking the mission to be over due to our dead comrade…yet during this night as we were traversing through the deep forest we decided to give the hunt for the elk one last go the thought of coming back empty handed almost to much to bear after the lost of Artorias, Thorn decided maybe if he shaped into an Elk the elks would approach us along with the four horned elk. Doing all we could we followed behind the now Elk Thorn hoping for the best….and we found what we were looking in fact it would seem the four horned elk was heading straight for us. I was too far away but I saw the almost limitless amount of elks and the enormous one in the middle as well, I didn’t know what was happening but when I heard it bellow I knew that something was wrong. So I ran I ran as fast as my legs could take me until I was right in front of the large elk…as I was running to my horror Thorn was being attacked and I then noticed that flashes of what seemed radiant light came from the Elk, it wasn’t long until Thorn fell unconscious before I did all I could to bring this large beast down. It was surprisingly quick yet scary…I swung Shaldinaris using the flat side of the blade to knock the beast unconscious before it could do any further harm to us, the hordes of Elk quickly dispersed and almost immediately it was silent again with the four horned elk knocked out below me. I took the liberty to tie up the Elk just in case it were to wake up during our trip back and dragged the body of the Elk all the way back, thanks to some handy work on my end with two tents. Yet the trip back was not uneventful a wolf was attempting to stalk us and I caught wind of it, even though I strongly believe it thought it was well hidden I didn’t want to kill the poor thing so I merely scared it away and continued onward to camp. It wasn’t long until we made it back many soldiers of the Iron Fist in awe completely surprised we managed to capture the beast. Ignoring most of the banter of the men I instructed one of the soldiers to collect both the captain and the wizard woman of the white horses. As they came they thanked me and my party members as we reported on what exactly happened, it all seemed like the mission was successful until the woman said how she was to kill the animal once her studies had been completed. Now I am a hunter myself and I would kill if it calls for it but at that moment I was not going to let this woman kill this creature just so she could take some minor notes. The Iron Fists instructed me to stand down but I remained there ready to release the creature if they tried to haul it off….and sure enough they did. I’m not sure on what happened after that entirely I know that spells were casted in order to stop me and some of my party members began healing the elk so it could run, but in the end it was for nothing. I tried my hardest to defend the creature as it sprinted away knocking a couple of iron fist members out with my blade never resorting to lethal blows….even if they tried to harm me, I know that they were doing their duty but it just so happened that what they were tasked to do from their superiors was wrong and I had to stop them. Many times I had to get the Elk back up with healing potions of mine yet the archers of the Iron Fist were very accurate…and eventually down the creature to where it had terrible injuries that if I had set it free out in the wild it would suffer and die. So in some way out of mercy and in others to get back at the terrible woman I put the poor Elk out of its misery wishing it well in whatever life after this. The Iron Fists didn’t dare try and stop me as I awaited the next ship back to Haven yet I know that they won’t be looking forward to my next visit there. Thalidd I know that I made mistakes but I hope you of all people understand that what I tried to do what I felt was right….. (There appear to be some more writing there but it seems to be marked off) I wish you the best Sharleen

Session 98: The breakfast Club, and the Magical misshap . A gnomes Tale part3 of? Present: Haraldr, Human fighter1/Rogue1 - Wolf R I Malagven, Dark Elf Warlock/Sorcerer lvl 4 - NIko Thamior, Dark elf Rogue 3 - VRH Rath, Dragonborn Sorc 4 - Mark Ventus, Human arlock/sorc 2- Sam D S Sprocket Springhouse, Rock gnome Sorc 3 - Simen M Gheist, human boy sorc lvl 2 - Sander ( <- Left halfway through the sesh ) Sprockets Journal 38 of shiel. Malagven says he’s taking another expedition out to cave network known as Merek. And iv decided to join him on his venture. It would the perfect opportunity to try out my latest addition to my harness! The Power Assister glove mk 2, using my SparkZapper Core rather than the strange focus crystal lens I have on my left gauntlet, to power the glove via a copper conducting tube that’s feeding directly from the SZCore. there has been some unusual power fluctuations when I tested it in the basement but I think it can take it, As the core looks to grown in capacity with each adventure I partake in. The addition of the Duplicator device *the tripplenator* that folds out from the top of the Spark’O’Zapper endcap. And last but not least! I’v successfully made a miniature Sparkzapper Core! I have named it the Fizzlecore, housed in a miniature Zapper housing, wich siphons energy off the SZCore and stores it, it detaches from the SoZ to fit into the Power assister glove, letting me loosen energy bursts without having to wait for the power to transfer from the SparkZapperCore! Ingenious if I do say so myself! as a side note, the SZcore seems to be under stress from all the attachments. But I’m sure it’ll sort itself out once it eventually grows in power again. Also getting my hands on the materials I needed proved a bother, as the White horse didn’t have much left when it came to metallic do’dads I could borrow. So I had to look elsewhere, a local blacksmith supplied me with the materials I required but it took days of trial and error to shape it to my measurements. The others at the White horse kept trying to stick their big noses in my work, so to get some privacy I had to rent the use of a basement in a neighboring house. But even there prying eyes followed me, could’ve sworn I saw Meco, that freaky flying fish hover by the window. But, back to the expedition with Malagven. After Wandering around the fish marked for a while, meeting up with the others that would join us we made our way to the ferry. Of the group i knew of Malagven, Rath and Thamior. Also joining us was a loudmouthed man named Haraldr who spoke with a strange accent, a human? named Ventus wearing a strange facemask, who shined with a bright light, And for some reason we brought young boy, he looked quite pale and skinny, with eyes glowing bright blue, later I asked about him, and he told me he was once human and at least 30 years of age, so I don’t know what he is now, but he’s clearly no ordinary little boy. The ferry ride was the usual ordeal with the crazed ferryman trying to make bets with the newcomers. but I was busy seeing to that my improvements on my harness was set and ready. The power source looked to have steadied itself, for now. We made our way to the portals, and once again Malagven spoke to Ms butterworth about what needed to be explored. There was some mention of gnomes but I didn’t catch what we were supposed to do, as Haraldr was clearly pining for Ms butterworth and begun to woo her, successfully I might add, although the party and myself looked quite sickened. Once again strapping barrels to Sparklemane we sat off towards Sparklemane was making a lot of noise this time as we made for a village where they said there'd be gnomes. We arrived at the alleged gnome village and i was very excited to see some of my kin. But alas they were not the kin i had hoped for, as they were pale and strange looking, most of them looked quite dim, but there was some interesting figures amongst them, one was a young girl named Elira who Malagven seemed to have met before, after a brief introduction Elira ran around the village and gathered what passed for the elders of the group. And to my confusion neither the young girl, nor the elders spoke my tongue. But Elira did too some degree speak common, and she acted like a translator between our party and the old gnomes. The elders spoke of a place where their god lingered. And that happend to be where we were going. I didn’t catch much of the conversation as i was rather fixated on a amazonian (for a gnomekin) Fighteress. However i got the jist of the conversation. The elders would not let us pass to see the place of the gods unless we were 'cleansed' magically. Everyone had to partake in a ritual, Even sparklemane and Malagvens flying fish had to be cleaned. So we were all painted with some foul goo, myself, sparklemane and the boy thing, Gheist the elders saw it necessary to cover from head to toe .Every then and had to drink some nasty looking liquid that tasted a little bit like my experimental fuel. After which a strange sensation washed over me, and i could tell sparklemane was also feeling something. My fellow Gnomekin continued the ritual by dancing around the village, i went tribal. Partly due to the excitement, but mostly due to the strange brew. I then danced the night away with my distant kin, haveing a blast. After a night of vigorous dancing, and conversation with Elira, where i for some reason decided to show off my inventions,(I swear i thought she was older, hard to tell with these gnomes). I drifted into a deep sleep. The next day me, gheist, and spraklemane was shining a bright light. The elders said, via Elira again, that it was a side effect of the ritual, a ritual gone wrong... As the cleansing of us had not worked. But despite the elders warning we pressed on towards the area where they claimed their god slumbered. The loudmouth lady-killer that is Haraldr, who spoke more then he navigated lead us on the wrong path, and so we had to turn back and find our bearings, the others didn’t look to mind the extra walking, but what they fail to realise is that every step they take i take two or three, damned loongfeets.... as we walked i continued my routine of carving inn a cog marker every now and again. Eventually we came to our destination, where i got to put my practiced sneak manoeuvres in action, having mimicked Thamiors sneaky pose in the mirror at home. And i performed quite well if i do say so myself, but i was outdone by that darn flying fish of Malagvens..i was quite happy with my sneaky pose, but as i still shined like a roaring campfire, creatures would have little trouble spotting me, but at least i was moving quietly, Although Sparklemane didn’t take to the sneaky training i had tried to learn her, and clopped her way down the cavern. Malagven had called the group to a halt, as Thamior scouted ahead, Gheist was muttering some incantation and felt his wave around the cavern, i think he was trying to detect magical signatures, like Dain had done on my first adventure. Malagven looked to be concentrating, his mouth making slight movements as if he was talking with someone. Gheist said he sensed something up ahead, and back out again Thamior went, Malagven informed us that he was communicating with some entity. The whole scene was rather bizarre as Thamior and Malagven went back and forth to the ruins that lay before us, they resembled the ones me and Thamior found on our last adventure, as they were made from ice, ice that melted, dripped down, evaporated and begun the cycle anew. After spectating the group for a good while, Thamiore and Malagven shared what they had learned from the entity they had spoken with, that Zaztotha, the entity that Fletcher warned us about on our last expedition, Was not himself, and was growing in power. Saying that the short ones would have to find a new home, as Zaztotha posed a threat to the. Thamior had been given a box that he was to show to the gnomes. The others who the 'god' had thought clean was asked to retrieve the body of an ogre that lay near the ruins, as it also was not clean and offended the slumbering god. And so they did, having dragged it a good distance away from the ruins they chopped off its head, saying that there was coin to be earned. We made our way back to the gnome village, thanks to my awesome cog markings leading the way no doubt. Thamior and Malagven relayed their message via Elira to the elders. There was much concern from the gnomes, as to where they would go and if their mysterious guardian called Hmpf would be follow them. Thinking we might stop Zaztotha before he grew to powerful we decided that we'd try to do just that, But first we decided to return to the portal and brief Ms Butterworth. Haveing followed my Cogs all the way back so we might get some advice from Ms butterworth. As Malagven was briefing Ms Butterface, Thamior was holding a dagger to Haraldr to keep him from talking. But once Malagven had made his case and gotten what info Butterwroth could give us based on our previous expedition and the sketches i made of the gnomes *god*, Haraldr resumed his wooing, to great effect. In an successful attempt at impressing the lady Haraldr presented her with the Ogres head, i made a jest to Thamior about there being two ugly heads over there, and a voice in my head lashed out telling me not to speak ill of Haraldr, and it gave me a furious migraine, so intense it caused me to throw up, it lasted for hours, and grew in intensity every time i laid my eye on Haraldr. After getting some food and water from our hosts we spend the night, gathering our strength for the coming day, Sleep however was hard to find, as the migraine was gnawing at my mind. On the morning after breakfast Gheist informed us he had other things in need of doing and left for Haven. My headache still lingered, and would intensify every time i herd or saw Haraldr, i complained about it to Malagven and he laid some healing magic on me, is there no end to his magical ability? As planned we started to make our way back to the ruins where Fletcher had gone mad, to confront the power that was hidden under the marble slab. I don’t know exactly how far we had gone when the group came to a halt sensing danger. Thamior scouted ahead then came back to fetch the party saying there was something up ahead. Thinking we might be up for another battle with some beetle i readied myself to do a field test of my power assister glove (PAG). Ventus the shiny guy, made some marvellous lights appear and put on a show. As Thamior and the others ventured up a cave tunnel we were bombarded by javelins from the side tunnel, but none seem to hit anything. Malagven found a marvellous pitfall while heading over to find the source of the javelins, after a audible *thud* Malagven then appeared in a shower of silvery mist back on top of the ledge. The onslaught of javelins continued and again hit nothing. The party spread out to get eyes on our attackers. Another wave Javelins came flying and this time Thamoir caught two with his face, And we herd whoever was throwing them at us stop to high five and congratulate each other on hitting something, they sounded dim-witted. I figured this was a good a time as any to field test my duplication device, and Fired up the Triplenator! it went off without a hitch!(apart from some unstable crackling coming from the Store’o’Zapper) And then there was three of me. Rounding the corner we found our assailants, a ogre and some bugbears, I blasted away at the ogre, but it was made of stern stuff. Malagven steaming with anger from having fallen face first into the pit unleashed a impressive blast of eldritch energy that engulfed the ogre creature as it fell over. A sneaky Ogre had flanked around us and Thamior caught another javelin with his shoulder and was promptly nailed to the cave wall. Rath ran to his aid and got him down and applied his healing touch. The battle raged on at both sides, Malagven got charged by some vicious looking Bugbears who knocked him out. Which gave me another chance to test the PAG! At least it looked pretty impressive as streaks of lightning arched out from both my powerglove and my PAG, alas the power flow must have been unstable as the creatures didn’t look take much notice, And as the magica flowed through the copper tubeings my hair fell out ..again.. Meanwhile the flanking ogre had made his way up to Thamior who was sprawling on the floor and brought down his battle axe on him, it didn’t look good. The ogre eventually tired of Thamior’s limp form and came for the group of casters cowering in the back, but was quickly disposed by a barrage of combined magical energy of us magica wilders. Haraldr had been battling a strange and creepy creature with one eye, which made us chase us around the cavern. When I heard Sparklemane shriek in horror i feared the worst, so I raced towards the sound heart in my throat. Hearing Sparklemane stop shrieking I opened up the quick release spigot on my Store’O’Zapper and my wolf pelt of transformation materialized around me, I felt the change attempt to take hold of me, I let go of my mental defences and just let it flow through me. Sure enough In my new form I had much more speed but blasted donkey murdering creature had made its escape. In the rush of transforming I had let out a howl which was responded to by a quire of howls echoing down the caves from the south. Spearing a quick glance at Sparklemanes ravaged form, and seeing my companions made ready to flee the area as we were in no shape to take on another set of attackers, I had to go with them or be left behind. Me not having a say in the matter due to my new form (Which was that of a furless wolf) . we made for the Cave of sleeping. My companions looking at my naked form in disgust while the transformation lasted. Once at the cavern they called the Cave of sleeping I spend some time dealing with the loss of my dear donkey, sparklemane. There wasn’t even time to retrieve her remains, or the equipment she carried for me. The others said that Sparklemane was the one that let us get away safely as ( tear smudge) would’ve stopped to feast on poor ( tear smudge ).Hopefully you’ll find your way to donkey paradise. For the first time during my adventures I was put on watch duty, which was alright as I had Thamior keep me company, he didn’t say much though so I was left with my thoughts, thoughts of poor poor sparklemane, which again made me think of Luca, and that only fed my sadness. Having finished my watch I went back to get some much needed rest, and snuggled up with my Store’O’zapper as usual. I didn’t sleep long before Malagven’s magical fish had apparently spotted something so Malagven woke everybody up and informed us that enemy’s was coming. Haraldr lighted a candle of all things and went to check things out. As I lost sight of him all I could hear was wolf howling and Haraldrs screams of horror. Running to his aid I saw we were under siege by countless wolfs. The man? Ventus stepped up and with a impressive display of power sent out a wave of fire that engulfed all the wolves, Their Ogre handler came charging inn but Rath sleepily stepped forth and exhaled his fire breath on it, the smell of charred flesh was revolting. I don’t think we’l be sleeping next to this area anymore. Thamior set off in pursuit of the last creature, He returned and informed us he and Malagven chased down and killed the bugbear. After we spent some time using our magic to get rid of the horrid smells, the rest of the night went by and I finally got some rest. (Slightly different handwriting starts here, and the dateing has skipped a day) Sprockets Journal. 42 of Shiel. There was… a mishap with the Store’O’Zapper. To account for the missing day il note in short that we returned to the portal, Where Haraldr continued his wooing of miss butterworth. Returning to the portal. Haraldr continued his Wooing of b̶u̶t̶t̶e̶r̶w̶o̶r̶t̶h̶ Butterface. Sanseing that my shielding had expired I cranked the wheel to repower it, and that’s when things got crazy. The Shielding power up, but the Store’o’Zapper went haywire, crackling furiously. The sight of which made my companions aswell as the people at the portal run for cover. While I stood there trying to get the powers surgeing out of my SparkZapper Core, I suspected it had sprung a leak on a tube, or from a crack and franticly tried to mend it. But it was to no use. What happened next is hard to remember, as the power that flew through me overwhelmed my senses, I shouted to my companions that I had lost control and was not doing it intentionally. Next thing I knew was on all fours, Malagven having recapped the events both for me and the White horse so they’d let me back inn, I know now that I had taken the form of a sheep. Next there was a unbearable amount of energy building up inside me, i..i just couldn’t control it, the electricity from my Store’O’zapper burst through me as streaks of lightning that shot out in several directions, it hit Gunther, but luckily he made it. Looking around helpless to what was happening I saw my companions take aim at me with their ranged weapons, they thought me a threat to them. Ms butterworth was reaching for me with what looked like my extended hand power, only it was massive. It picked me up off the ground and squeezed me, but the only sounds I could muster was. Well *BAAAAAAAAH*. After more squeezing I returned to my normal form, and I felt like crap, and as the hand was tightening its grip and lifting me high up in the air my stomach turned on me and I covered myself in throwup. as I was feeling like I was at the brink of passing out a unicorn appeared next to me and the giant hand. Despite my mind starting to slip at that point, I remember it well, as the magnificent majestic beast looked over at me, with a puzzled look on its face, as it started to plummet towards the ground, I think I heard it land. But it was at this point I passed out. After hearing Malagven retell the events to the White Horses, I can say that I was dropped from quite the high altitude, and belly flopped on the ground. And…and I died, but just as the unstable magic had caused it all, it had also saved me somehow. As after having let out my last breath I disappeared in a massive light, and reappeared moments later, in.. a new body, luckily the fates and or gods saw fit to return me to the world in a gnome body, a female gnome body. But atleast it’s a gnome body. Seeing my companions still aimed their weapons at me I tried again to explain to them that I had no control, but when I did the only thing that came out of my mouth was…. pink bubbles.. you know what, that’s enough about this whole ordeal for now. i.. I have some serious repairs to do on my Sparkzapper Core.. and some reaserch to do, surely one of these eggheads would know a way to return me to my body, this form is.. strange. One things for sure, im not going back to my father like this.. by which I mean this form, and the uncontrollable power surges. ( CogNutz sends another letter to Oleg about what has transpired, with a note asking him to deliver it to Anya, in hopes that she could help me, or shed some light on the nature of this magic)

[Arrived after we'd got back from Investigating the cave] Rath, Dragoborn Sorc Level 4 (Mark) [Arrived after we'd got back from Investigating the cave] Present for the first half of the session Ferhem; Dragonborn Fighter/Warlock, lvl 4 (Clarence) Sadie; Halfling Rogue, lvl 4 (Seraphina) Ventus; Human Sorcerer/Warlock, lvl 3 (Sam D S) Sanctrias; Dragonborn Fighter/Paladin, lvl 2 (Sam) Althea Amakiir; Half-elf Bard, lvl 1 (VRH) Udrin; Dwarf Wizard, lvl 3 (Peter) We left for Adraan on the 2 nd of Mitter, arriving on the 4 th in camp Kelna. We headed south along the coast under the cover of darkness, we knew we were beeing followed by something but could not see it, regardless we pressed on towards this raft that were found by the cave. Follow the coast and you cannot miss it. But you will need to walk around a ridge, either walk into the ocean or inlands and around it. Fair warning, glacial cubes lurks in the ocean and if given the chance will trap you between the sea and the cliff if they can, they are almost impossible to spot coming out of the water if you do not expect it. Finally, walking along the previously mentionened gems we found Jeff the Sentinel, a more advanced construct, he speaks Erdari, Infernal and Abyssal. Jeff explained to us he knew this languages since he was created by a race of gnomes called the masters. He had been exiled as the gnomes had lost a war against humans, i was unable to determine the culture. They sailed through the mysts before arriving here and said he had been there for twenty cycles, we assumed years. He had come as the last of his kind after sensing a source of power here, it is my understanding that the crystal vein transfers some sort of magical force from a leyline running through there to him as he is constantly walking back and forth siphoning the energy from them. They merely came here because they needed the magical power source. Jeff explained that the constructs guarding the caskets were guard constructs, less capable than himself, he also told us the caskets contained other constructs like him. A ruined guard construct might still be at camp Kelna is you ask for it. This construct also has blue liquid flowing through its tubes, we tried to pour this on the raft outside and it seemed to partially come to life. Guess we didn't use enough, ask Jeff he might know. Ferhem asked him if he would welcome anyone who could come and try to free him from his existence enslaved to some gemstones like he was here, then we asked him about how he protected himself and he showed us the suspected bomb, or worse. We also discovered Jeff and his friends likely the last survivors of the civilization that created them. Jeff gave me a tiny gem from the wall, i will bring it to the white horses to be examined, in addition someone will have to come back and look at the big green glowing mushroom. Ferhem thinks it feeds of the same power Jeff and these constructs does. Finally i feel the need to mention Sanctrias who perished fighting one of the glacial oozes that emerged from the sea and scattered our group. Dagerii saw it fit for him to perish so i have faith there is was a purpose to his end. We finished the first half on the 6 th of Mittern. Present for the second half of the session: Ferhem; Dragonborn Fighter/Warlock, lvl 4 (Clarence) Sadie; Halfling Rogue, lvl 4 (Seraphina) Ventus; Human Sorcerer/Warlock, lvl 3 (Sam D S) Althea Amakiir; Half-elf Bard, lvl 1 (VRH) Canson Ninefingers; Human Barbarian, lvl 2 (Witch Hunter) Haraldr; Human Rogue 1/Fighter 2 (Wolf R I.) Rath, Dragoborn Sorc Level 4 (Mark) After heading back to camp and switching out a few members of our group we headed east towards the goblin hills looking to find out what the reports of shadowy figures were, i can now assume that they were once goblins but are now under the sway of what dwells in the Mad Shrine. We followed the tracks that led to the Mad Shrine, a name that is misleading in more ways than one as we did not experience it messing with your mind in any direct way. It is also more temple than shrine, it is a solid stone building and i am not certain how many entrances as we had no idea what we were walking into. The temple houses an unknown number of shadows in the form of goblins that will fire bolts at you, these bolts hurts but also sapps the litteral strength of anyone hit if given enough time. This can be avoided by pulling the tips of the bolts out. The scource is magical so antitoxin will not help here. Other than that they are very reminiscent of normal goblins, they are not very skilled and die fairly easily. But it must be said that magic has more of an effect on them than mundane weapons. The goblins are merely a distraction though as the real danger that lies within comes from a trio. One is a dwarf who fights in an enraged state and seemingly uses the rage to fuel his combat prowess. He seems almost impervious to pain, from weapons or magic and i would advise not fighting him in a straight fight up close. He makes a lot of noise so it is not hard to know when he is coming, but know that even though he has short legs like all dwarves do he was able to catch up to Ferhem. Second we have a human female, she seems blessed with radiant energy as she sendt a bolt of it after Rath as we were fleeing the temple, i am unable to tell you more about her, but i would be stunned to learn she was incapable of healing. Even if i never witnessed her wielding any healing magic. Thirdly there is an old human man smoking a pipe, this one, as well as the woman would be prime targets to take out first, he doesn't look very tough but he is incredibly fast and slippery, Ferhems darkness spell seemed to only benefit him and his accuracy with his spells is incredible. Not to mention how skilled he is at utilizing distraction and the utter darkness of the place to inflict pain. Additionally they have some sort of pet, Ferhem tells me it attempted to paralyze him with its glare, and it is also a vicious combatant. Most likely with a very keen sense of smell so be wary. We did not make it far into the temple but it is very hard to miss, if you go there be wary of the shadows in the temple for those who dwell there uses it well. They are merely mortals though and i have no doubt given the proper preparation it could be used against them. In fact with knowledge of what dwelled in the temple and proper preparation i know we could have been triumphant. For example the dwarf was rendered helpless a few times by a hold person and a darkness spell. Again i must honour the memories of Sadie and Ventus, i saw Sadie die under the greataxe of the dwarf warrior as we retreated and i witnessed Ventus beeing dragged into the darkness by the trio's pet. I did not witness him die but i can not imagine how he could have survived. We got on a ship to return to Haven on the 9 th of Mittern. Norn Althea Amakiir of Heavensweave Althea will keep the original herself and make transcripts for each of the great companies.

Session 99: Shadows in the Forest (F2F session) Present: Veranis; Human Wizard lvl 1 (Chris G) Ffiona; Human Ranger lvl 5 (Seraphina) 4th Mittern Year 987 Finally after weeks of hellish travel on that infernal ship my journey ended. After a night anchored on the coast I was rowed out on to the beach. The relief I felt at the end of that neverending rocking was indescribable. I was greeted at the shore by a short young human womanl wearing armour like nothing I have seen before; twisted vines and leaves which seemed to shift and sway in the breeze. In my haste to begin my search for Daelyn my manners escaped me and I forgot to introduce myself, hurriedly explaining that I had been directed to Seahaven as the last recorded location my brother had been seen. Ffiona introduced herself and as she shook my hand I felt the dwemer which normally flowed through me absorbed by her touch. Ffiona suggested we should head up into Seahaven as there were others there who may have knowledge which would aid in my search. Heading into the fort I saw the ruined tower with busy workers surging over it like ants seeking to restore it to its former glory. We met Crothwyd the Steward of Seahold who suggested Ffiona find me a bed in the stables as it was the only building with a finished roof. Fffiona explained that she had overseen the rebuilding of the stables but unfortunately the work on the tower was not progressing as quickly. I met a number of the workers who asked if I diced at all, but I got the impression from Ffiona's expression that this would be a bad idea. I was given a bed, depositing my belongings in the chest at its foot and spoke with Clothwyn explaining that I had come here looking for my brother Daelyn having been told this was his last known location. Crothwyd searched through the company records finding mention that Daelyn had travelled here with a company of the Grey Cloaks around five months ago. They entire expedition disappeared bar one man who was found wandering on the main land south of the river Desna. Unfortunately he  died shortly after being found without revealing any of the events which had led to the disappeance of his companions. I asked if they had found any signs of the lost expedition since their arrival but Crothwyd explained that there had been few expeditions into the mainland and no one had gone further than two stautes set into the mountains further along the river as they had all been filled with a sense of dread and unease on appraoching them, turning back. On asking if there were plan to send out exploratory expeditions along the river Desna, Clothwyd said he had plan to explore ever part of the island, but no-one to send out to do so.  He suggested that Ffiona may want to set out along the river on a hunting expedition as meat was runnign low and said I may want to accompany them and see if I could find any signs of my brother. Ffiona collected two others to round out the hunting party, Glyn of the Vale, who I judged a hunter by the bow on hi back and 'Mule' so called because he was used to carry any of the animals killed.Glyn complained about being sent out with Mule saying that he never shut up and that all that cam eout of his mouth was drivel. I suggested having Mule carry something in his mouth if this was the case and Glyn fashioned a bridle with two flasks at either end and stuck in Mule's mouth. We set out along the southern bank of the river along the top of the canyon and I observed that there were signs that the river was prone to flooding although from asking Ffiona, this had not occured while they had been at Seahold. We continued for a number of miles without incident reaching the statues, an enormous stone dwarf of a kind none of us recgnised, towering one hundred feet above us and set into the base of two mountain which I was told were named White and Grey Pike. We approached the southern most statue and entered into a clearing which appeared to be centred on the statue. I asked Ffiona if this clearing appeared to be natural given that the statues central positioning within it and reached out with my senses to see if I could detect anythign arcane which may have caused the clearing. I found that the aura in the area seemed elevated, in particular with regards to divination magic. I moved closer to the statue to see if this was an even effect throughout the area of if it appeared to be centered on the statue and the strange aura appeared to grow stronger as I got closer to the statue. Ffiona suggested that the staute was gathering in aura from the surrounding area creating the effect. Overhead thunder crashed across the mountain, lightning strioking the peaks repeatedly and we were inundated in a sudden downpore. Glyn said that we should return to Seahaven as the storm was clearly an ill omen but I and Ffiona agreed to approach the statue and see if we could find anything further of note. I cast mage armour on myself, noting that its manifestation was far stronger than usual, the strange aura having augmented and strengthened my casting. It appeared that this aura may strengthen specific types of magic vaguely recalling tales of the Sithi setting ambushes for the Impreial forces where their evocation spells would be most effective. While my senses told me this aura was most strongly attuned with divination magic it appeared that abjuration spells were also strengthened. I theorise that inversely other types of magic may be weakened but was unable to test this hypothesis. I approached the foot of the statue, remaining at the boundary of the forest and saw that the base was covered in what appeared to be Teshan pictographs but in a form which made no sense. As the rain fell Ffiona made out footsteps revealed by the gathering water, later telling me these were apparently of an Ashani, which led up to the statue. She followed them making her way to the base of the statue and founf a slight depression in which water was pooling. Overhead an enormous eagle landed on the head of the statue and flew away appearing to have deposited something far above. I made my way over to Ffiona and examined the depression in the ground, coming to the conclusion that it had been cause either by the fottsteps of many creatures over a short period of time of the footsteps of one person who had returned here many times over a long period. I asked Ffiona if the Ashani were a solitary people and she told me that they were not, usuaully travelling in groups and that it was unusual to see Ashani travelling alone. The water at the base also revealed a hidden doorway and in its center three Teshan pictographs which symbolised the mountain, the river and a door. I touched the door symbol and felt a tingle of energy beneath my fingers but nothing happened. Next I touched the river symbol again feeling a surge of energy and touched it again the egenrgy fading. I once again pressed the river an finally the mountain but nothing happened and the energy faded. ffiona told me that she had seen the symbols glow, the door red and the others blue. I pressed the door symbol, followed by the mountain and the river and Ffiona told me this time they had each been a different colour, red, green and blue respectively. I thought for a moment and recalled that in the Teshan culture blue meant good, red was sacred and green meant unholy. I pressed the door symbol followed by the river and the mountain and the doorway slid down revealed a wide stairway down into darkness.  Ffiona took out an arrow, lighting it with dwemer before firing it down into the shadows revealing a long stairway down to an archway flanked by miniature versions of the statue we were at the base of. Ffiona suggested fixing the door in place to make sure it didn't close behind us and Glyn produced a pair of pitons from his pack driving them into the stone. I drew one of my blades casting light on it and was blinded for a moment, nce again the casting having far more power than it should.  We proceeded slowly down the stairs, I went backwards on my hands and knees as the stairs were far smaller than nrmal, a further indication that the builders of the statue had been dwarves of some kind and I was wary of tripping. Half way down i felt the step sink in slightly and from above a grinding noise as the door tried to rise to find itself barred by the pitons. With the cleart evidence of traps as I approached the bottom step I used by sword to see if there were any further pressure plates. As I pressed down on the bottommost step with the hilt of my blade there was a hiss from in front of my as two darts shot through the air. We managed to make our way to the bottom avoiding the bottom step and saw that the archway led into a corridor leading into the mountain. I noted at this point that the source of the strange aura appeared to be coming from above, likely the head of the statue. Ffiona retrieved her arrow, finding that the metal tip had begun to corrode. We all checked our weapons and only the sword I cast light on appeared to be unaffected. Glyn in a panic remembered the pitons at the top of the stairs and that they may also be affected. Ffiona went bak up the stairs avoiding the trap and rubbed magical wax on the pitons to protect them from whatever force was corroding metal. On her return to the bottom of the stairs, she fired another light arrow into the dark corridor revealing a T junction further along and facing us another dwarnver statue with its hand raised up gesturing for us to stop. Lining the corridor were carvings of other dwarves and Ffiona  began to carefully make her way along the corridor looking for further traps making her way safely to the statue at the end of the corridor. I approached the side of the room leading to the corridor to see if I could find a source of the darts fired earlier finding another carving of a dwarf this time holding a snake with holes apparent in its scales. I returned to the archway and saw that the dwarves lining the corridor did not appear to be holding a snake. Suddenly a liquid darkness began pouring from one of the carvings rising into the shape of a man. I cast frostbite at the figure and Ffiona launched an arrow into the form shredding into wisps of shadow and running back down the corridor. As she was halfway back to us two more shadows appeared, one on either side of Ffiona with a third appearing next to Glyn. The shadows flanking Ffiona struck apparently ineffectually while Glyn was attacked by the third nd fled back towards the stairs forgetting about the trap and being hit by two darts. I frostbited the shadow who had attacked Glyn and Mule charged it finishing it off with a blow from his axe. Ffiona shot one of the shades with an arrow before running out of the corridor, both shadows striking her as she withdrew. The shade Ffiona had shot tried to attack me but I dodged its strike using my bladesinging training before shattering it with another frostbite, frozen shadow raining around me. The final shadow attacked Mule striking him accross the chest before the combined fire from Ffiona and Glyn who had rallied on the stairs finished it. Ffiona suggested withdrawing to Seahold to let them know what we had found and to request aid in further exploring the tunnels under the statue to which we all agreed and made our way back to Seahold.

Session 101: The more answers we find the less we know (F2F session) Present: Veranis; Human Wizard lvl 2 (Chris G) Ffiona; Human Ranger lvl 5 (Seraphina) Archer; Half-Elf Ranger, lvl 4 (Daniel B) Trarbon; Dwarf Cleric, lvl 4 (Glen) 28th Mittern Year 987 After weeks overseeing the rebuilding of Seahold Archer seemed on the verge of snapping. We agreed that if Archer was going to go on a killing spree it would be better if he did so away from the hold. We met in Archer's office to discuss potential locations of interest to which an expedition could be made. The Ashani had provided information about a number of nearby items of interest; a sleeping green dragon, an isle off the coast which was home to a bird large enough to pick up ships and a crack which led to the bottom of the world. We also had the option of returning to the statue which Ffiona and I has travelled to previously. I advocated for returning to the statue with the hope of finding further clues of my brother's whereabouts as well as seeking more knowledge about the strange aura we had found especially as I now had my familiar, the raven Ikol. The others had no objections to returning to the statue and we agreed that we would journey there. We travelled along the river bank to the statue without incident pointing out the Mammoth skeletons we had discovered on the way. When we reached the clearing surrounding the statue I warned those who had not previously journeyed to the statue about the strange corrosive effect we had encountered and the rust which has appeared on none magical metal. Ffiona created a hollow in a tree and placed her metal belongings in it as well as Archer's chain mail. While they were doing this I sent Ikol to take a look at head of the statue to see if he could find a source of the aura. As he approached the head he suddenly fell, plummeting towards the ground. At the last moment his wings spread arresting his fall and he glided back to the party. He said that there was a maelstrom of energy surrounding the head and this energy was being channelled not into the statue but into a gap between the statue and the cliff behind it. Ikol said that he thought he could find his way to the head now that he knew of the maelstrom and flew back into the air. He safely navigated the magical eddies at times flipping upside down. He alighted on the head only briefly before launching into flight and diving away from the head. A figure holding a drawn bow with an arrow knocked rose on the head of the statue, before ducking back out of sight on seeing the presence of our party. Ikol told me that there was a nest on the head of the statue containing a number of large bundles as well as an Ashanni with his face painted half black and half white. Ikol had seen a rope bridge connecting the head of the statue to an opening in the cliff. I relayed this to the others. Trarbon approached the statue with Archer and Ffiona nocking their bows and providing cover in case the Ashani reappeared. Trarbon began studying the base of the statue, while he did so I performed an arcane ritual to allow me to sense nearby magic. With this done I moved up to the statue. I sensed a source of conjuration magic coming from the boot and sent Ikol up to take a closer look seeing through his senses. I identified that the magic source was inside the boot and called for Trarbon who had finished examining the statue to come and help me look for any hidden doors or openings around the boot. Ffiona and Archer both came over and Ffiona began lifting everyone up on to the top of the base. I cast mage armour and light on myself in hopes of protecting my blades from the corrosion and once again the magic was far stronger than I was used to. Trarbon began examining the statue and found a hidden door on the side of the boot but no way of opening it. Once we were closer to the boot I could sense both evocation and conjuration magic and it seemed likely that this indicated a trap. I warned the others and move off to the side of where Trarbon believed the door to be. Hearing my warning Trarbon stepped backwards and stood on a hidden pressure plate causing the door to open. A cold white light blazed through the opening flickering against the other boot. Ffiona moved to look through the doorway and five bolts of lightning flew through the opening streaking towards Ffiona. Before striking they were diverted up into the air leaving her unharmed. Ffiona immediately launched two arrows through the doorway into the towering figure made of crackling lighting, one struck and the other was struck out of the air by a coil of electricity. The elemental moved out of the doorway and a voice crackled out tinny and strained in archaic Teshan. “Intruders you have brought the forbidden metal bane into this place. You must be punished and the sentence is death.” Hearing those words I recalled an ancient legend of a fallen Teshan kindred which had experimented with Duergar powers. This had unleashed some force which infected Teshan holds causing the corrosion of metal and had led to the destruction of many holds. Only lightning seemed to prevent this effect. With the strange corrosive effect we had seen below the statue it seemed likely that we had found evidence of this contagion. The elemental lashed out at myself, Archer and Trarbon, but only the strikes at Archer found purchase. Archer shot an arrow at the creature but reeling from the lightning strike his shot flew wide. I ran past the elemental barely dodging a coil of lighting and into the hidden room. At its center I found a continuous bolt of lighting streaking down from the ceiling into the room surrounded by an arcane circle which appeared to be a summoning circle. I struck at the rune I believed controlled the enchantment cleaving it in two and the circle began to fade. Behind me Ffiona again shot at the elemental but it barely seemed to notice. It again lashed out and Trarbon and myself and I instictively cast absorb element to try to protect myself from the fury of the storm but the power of the lightning sent me spiralling into unconciousness. Trarbon and Archer healed themselves and Ffiona came into the room using healing magic to return me to conciousness. As I came to my senses the elemental again struck at me multiple lightning bolts streaking into the room but most were diverted by Ffiona. One surged towards my chest but a shield spell prevented the elemental force from striking me. With the circle destroyed I thought the elemental was likely to leave if we left it alone and moved to the corner of the room yelling for the others to leave it alone in hope that it would leave if not provoked. My warning seemed to be succesful as there were no further sounds of battle and Ffiona told me that the elemental had abruptly flown away. We regrouped in the hidden room and to distract myself from the lingering burning sensation I began examining the contents of the room. I found a number of metal cylinders in alcoves around the edge of the room. I lifted one with mage hand and found that it was wrapped in a thin chain. Ffiona looked at the scroll and confirmed that there was no magical aura around the scroll. I put the scroll back recalling the Teshan legend concerned that the metal here could be contaminated. We examined the rest of the room. The lightning stream at the center was channelling into a metal tulip of a type Trarbon did not recognise. Ffiona said that it did not appear to be magical and it didn't seem to be storing the energy being channelled being directed back along the same path. It seemed likely this energy was being drawn from the maelstrom above, but was only part of it being limited to only evocation magic while the maelstrom above way made up of many types of magic. I hypothesised that the energy being channelled down was being split somewhere and directed to different locations for different purposes. This use of magic seemed extremely out of character for the Teshan. We found the remains of wooden chests and using mage hand to sift through the mulch we found a number of octagonal metal ingots made from what appeared to be a variety of metals with a different symbol carved in each. Ffiona said there was a weak aura on the ingots which was meant to prevent them from wearing or degrading. My companions recognised these from previous exploits as keystones which would allow passage through doorways or into areas which would otherwise be inaccessible. There was another metal cylinder with these ingots and on studying it it became apparent that it was a scroll. Ffiona again confirmed that it had no magical properties and I used mage hand to break the chain sealing it and unroll it. The scroll was written in ancient Ashani and from the syntax and grammar appeared to have been written several thousand years ago, before the sundering of the Ashanni empire. It was addressed to “the Inquisitor” saying that they had found the source of the contagion which had led to the fall of their northern cities. The scroll said that the contagion had been contained and guardians had been placed capable of containing any further outbreak. I realised that the arcane circle which had been at the centre was of Ashanni design. We then opened the other scrolls, most were written in archaic Teshan, the first being a plea for aid written to the Brothers of Sundervale. It said that a new kindred had come through the Myst-tide bearing what was thought to be a great boon; a miraculous new technique for crafting metal in ways never seen before. It soon became apparent that there was a terrible side effect and the metal bane spread through their hold. The other scrolls appeared to be much the same although they were all marked with an Ashanni symbol and appeared to have been intercepted by the Ashanni. The last scroll was again in Ashanni and was written by the Inquisitor. It said that this place is sealed by order of the Priestess of Niva. No one was to be allowed in or out. It appeared from these that a metal destroying plague had been unleashed in the Teshan hold and had spread affecting nearby Ashanni cities. They had traced the source back and contained it preventing any aid from coming. Trarbon began examining the rest of the room looking for traps or anything hidden and found a trap door which Ffiona opened leading into a hollow in the ground. Trarbon also said that the room was not of Teshan creation and appeared to be on elvish make. It seemed likely that the Ashanni had built the room and placed the elemental in here and that the strange aura effect was also of their creation given its use of magic. It therefore seemed odd that the voice coming from the elemental was in Teshan if this was all of Ashanni design. In the hollow were three more scrolls and a lump of metal of the same type as that at the tulip at the center of the room. Two scrolls were written in both Ashanni and Southern Ashanni appearing to be messages between two parties which had been translated. The first said that the Inquisitor did not believe they could use the metal but they disagreed and that the Khuli grew too strong. They had also sent a number of other items ahead to the Fane of Arsha. The response thanked them for the items sent and asked for others to be found and forwarded on. It said that the Inquisitor does not speak for Arsha. There was a third scroll written entirely in Southern Ashanni which we were unable to translate. We took the scrolls but debated as to what should be done with the strange metal. Ffiona took it outside with an arrow to see if it seemed to cause the corrosion of the metal away from the statue. She returned saying that once she had moved far enough away the metal seemed to come alive but when she came back to the statue it grew dormant again. We agreed to hide the metal where we had found it and seek further knowledge by getting the scroll in Southern Ashanni translated. I planned to visit the White Horses to sell some shards of frozen Shadow I had retrieved on our last excursion and said that I would seek to learn the Comprehend Languages spell to aid in this and Archer agreed that we should ask if the White Horses would be willing to work with us to explore and understand the statue and the city below given that they had significant holdings nearby. We then returned to Seahold to regroup and recover from our encounter with the lightning elemental.
