[LFG] [DnD 3.5e/5e] [EST] Player, new-ish to Roll20

Hey! I'm an experienced (~3 years) DnD player and DM who would like to find a Roll20 game to be a player in. I've got some free time and my home group can only meet on Sundays, so I thought I'd give Roll20 a try, but finding a game is a little intimidating; every game has, like, 3 open slots and 14 player applications! I've played a couple sessions on Roll20 before about 3 years ago, so I know the basics, but I'm not entirely familiar with any of the fancy stuff. I'd rather not DM until I'm more familiar with the site. The more ordinary, the better; I'd rather not mess with expansive homebrew systems and whatnot my first time around (though I guess it's not a dealbreaker). Published campaigns are fine, except Curse of Strahd (home DM is running it, I'd rather avoid spoilers). I have a mic and webcam available. Thanks!

Greetings, Andrew.  I am curious why you mention 3.5, but not Pathfinder? Do you not like it?

I've never tried it, but I've read over the rules quite a bit (I answer rules questions on /r/DnD sometimes) and I'm not particularly a fan. Most of the changes Pathfinder made to 3.5e are, in my opinion, bad ones. I'd rather not argue about it, and I'm not trash-talking the system - a lot of people enjoy it, so it must be doing something right - but it's not for me. I'd be up for it, though I'd prioritize a 3.5e or 5e game over a Pathfinder one. It's not an awful system, just not as fun as 3.5e for me.

I happen to have the same preference for 3.5 over pathfinder (although I do run both). In fact, I currently run a 3.5 game on Monday nights at 9pm EST that just lost a player and is in need of a replacement if you're interested.
